< Psalms 52 >

1 Unto the end. The understanding of David. When Doeg the Edomite came and reported to Saul, David went to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you glory in malice, you who are powerful in iniquity?
David ƒe nufiameha na hɛnɔ la. Ekpa ha sia esi Edomtɔ, Doeg yi ɖagblɔ na Saul be, “David yi ɖe Ahimelek ƒe aƒe me.”
2 All day long your tongue thinks up injustice. Like a sharp razor, you have wrought deceit.
Wò aɖe le gbegblẽ ɖom; èle abe hɛ ɖaɖɛ ene, wò alakpatɔ.
3 You have loved malice above goodness, and iniquity more than speaking righteousness.
Èlɔ̃ vɔ̃ wu nyui, èlɔ̃ alakpa wu nyateƒetoto. (Sela)
4 You have loved all precipitous words, you deceitful tongue.
O! Wò alakpaɖe, èlɔ̃ nya gbegblẽwo sɔŋ ko!
5 Because of this, God will destroy you in the end. He will pull you up, and he will remove you from your tabernacle and your root from the land of the living.
Vavã, Mawu hã aƒu wò anyi ɖe gbegblẽ mavɔ me. Mawu ahe wò ado goe tso wò agbadɔ me, aho wò kple ke tso agbagbeawo ƒe anyigba dzi. (Sela)
6 The just will see and be afraid, and they will laugh over him, and say:
Ame dzɔdzɔewo akpɔe, eye woavɔ̃; woakoe ahagblɔ be,
7 “Behold the man who did not set God as his helper. But he hoped in the multitude of his riches, and so he prevailed in his emptiness.”
“Kpɔ ɖa, ŋutsu si metsɔ Mawu wɔ eƒe mɔ sesẽ o, ke boŋ wòtsɔ eƒe dzi ɖo eƒe kesinɔnu gbogboawo ŋu, eye wòkpɔ ŋusẽ hegblẽ ame bubuwo dome lae nye esi!”
8 But I, like a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God unto eternity, and forever and ever.
Ke nye la, mele abe amiti si le tsetsem le Mawu ƒe aƒe me la ene. Meɖo dzi ɖe Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ŋu tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me.
9 I will confess to you forever, because you have accomplished it. And I will wait on your name, for it is good in the sight of your saints.
Makafu wò tegbee le nu si nèwɔ la ta; matsɔ nye mɔkpɔkpɔ ade wò ŋkɔ me, elabena wò ŋkɔ nyo. Makafu wò le wò ame kɔkɔewo ŋkume.
