< Psalms 42 >

1 Unto the end. The understanding of the sons of Korah. As the deer longs for fountains of water, so my soul longs for you, O God.
Duen tia amen inon ion pil iduen nen i kin inon ion komui o Kot.
2 My soul has thirsted for the strong living God. When will I draw close and appear before the face of God?
Nen i inon ion Kot, on Kot ieiaij. Iad I pan lel waja o, me I pan ariri jilan en Kot.
3 My tears have been my bread, day and night. Meanwhile, it is said to me daily: “Where is your God?”
Pil en maj ai, iei kan ai mana ni ran o ni pon, pwe irail kin indan ia ran karoj: ia om Kot?
4 These things I have remembered; and my soul within me, I have poured out. For I will cross into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, all the way to the house of God, with a voice of exultation and confession, the sound of feasting.
Ma i madamadaua duen mepukat, i ap wudokila audepan monion i on pein nai, pwe i inon ion ian pokon o kokodalan tanpaj en Kot, o i men ian pokon, me kin wiada a ran, pereperen o kapikapina.
5 Why are you sad, my soul? And why do you disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still confess to him: the salvation of my countenance,
Nen i, da me koe injenjuedeki o jota moleileiki? Auiaui Kot! I pan puron kapina i. Pwe a kotin jauaja kin ia jilan i.
6 and my God. My soul has been troubled within myself. Because of this, I will remember you from the land of the Jordan and from Hermon, from the little mountain.
Ai Kot, nen i me injenjued; I ap madamadaua duen komui nan jap en kailan Iordan o Ermonin, pon dol Mijar.
7 Abyss calls upon abyss, with the voice of your floodgate. All your heights and your waves have passed over me.
Japwilim omui pil akan nirinirjok, pil laud akan nirinirjok; japwilim omui iluk kan karoj kadupal ia di.
8 In the daylight, the Lord has ordered his mercy; and in the night, a canticle to him. With me is a prayer to the God of my life.
Ieowa kotin inaukidar a kalanan ni ran, a ni pon i kin kauli on i, o i kapakap on Kot en maur i.
9 I will say to God, “You are my supporter. Why have you forgotten me? And why do I walk in mourning, while my adversary afflicts me?”
I kin indan Kot ai paip: Da me kom kotin likidmalie kin ia la? Da me i en weweideki ni injenjued pweki ai imwintiti kelail on ia?
10 While my bones are being broken, my enemies, who trouble me, have reproached me. Meanwhile, they say to me every single day, “Where is your God?”
Likamata kokon ai kan mut pajaner, ni ai imwintiti lalaue ia. Pwe re kin indan ia ran karoj: Ia om Kot?
11 My soul, why are you saddened? And why do you disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still confess to him: the salvation of my countenance and my God.
Nen i, da me koe injenjuedeki o jota moleileiki? Auiaui Kot! Pwe i pan danke i, pwe i jauaj pan maj ai o ai Kot.
