< Psalms 41 >

1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David himself. Blessed is he who shows understanding toward the needy and the poor. The Lord will deliver him in the evil day.
Fún adarí orin. Saamu Dafidi. Ìbùkún ni fún ẹni tí ó ń ro ti aláìní: Olúwa yóò gbà á ní ìgbà ìpọ́njú.
2 May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth. And may he not hand him over to the will of his adversaries.
Olúwa yóò dáàbò bò ó yóò sì pa ọkàn rẹ̀ mọ́: yóò bùkún fún un ní orí ilẹ̀ kò sì ní fi sílẹ̀ fún ìfẹ́ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀.
3 May the Lord bring him help on his bed of sorrow. In his infirmity, you have changed his entire covering.
Olúwa yóò gbà á lórí àkéte àìsàn rẹ̀ yóò sì mú un padà bọ̀ sípò kúrò nínú àìsàn rẹ̀.
4 I said, “O Lord, be merciful to me. Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”
Ní ti èmi, mo wí pé “Olúwa, ṣàánú fún mi; wò mí sàn, nítorí pé mo ti ṣẹ̀ sí ọ”.
5 My enemies have spoken evils against me. When will he die and his name perish?
Àwọn ọ̀tá mi ń sọ̀rọ̀ mi nínú àrankàn, pé, “Nígbà wo ni yóò kú, ti orúkọ rẹ̀ yóò sì run?”
6 And when he came in to see me, he was speaking emptiness. His heart gathered iniquity to itself. He went outside, and he was speaking in the same way.
Nígbàkígbà tí ẹnìkan bá wá wò mí, wọn ń sọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀tàn, nígbà tí àyà rẹ̀ bá kó ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ jọ sí ara rẹ̀; nígbà tí ó bá jáde lọ yóò sì máa tàn án kálẹ̀.
7 All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.
Àwọn ọ̀tá mi gbìmọ̀ papọ̀ nípa mi; èmi ni wọ́n ń gbìmọ̀ ibi sí,
8 They established an unjust word against me. Will he that sleeps no longer rise again?
wọ́n wí pé, “Ohun búburú ni ó dì mọ́ ọn ṣinṣin àti ní ibi tí ó dùbúlẹ̀ sí, kì yóò dìde mọ́.”
9 For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has greatly supplanted me.
Pàápàá, ọ̀rẹ́ mi tímọ́tímọ́, ẹni tí mo gbẹ́kẹ̀lé, ẹni tí ó ń jẹ nínú oúnjẹ mi, tí gbé gìgísẹ̀ rẹ̀ sókè sí mi.
10 But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again. And I will requite them.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ Olúwa, ṣàánú fún mi; gbé mi sókè, kí ń ba lè san fún wọn.
11 By this, I knew that you preferred me: because my adversary will not rejoice over me.
Èmi mọ̀ pé inú rẹ̀ dùn sí mi, nítorí ọ̀tá mi kò borí mi.
12 But you have sustained me, because of my innocence, and you have confirmed me in your sight in eternity.
Bí ó ṣe tèmi ni ìwọ dì mímú nínú ìwà òtítọ́ mi ìwọ sì gbé mi kalẹ̀ níwájú rẹ títí láé.
13 Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for all generations and even forever. Amen. Amen.
Olùbùkún ni Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli, láé àti láéláé.
