< Psalms 41 >
1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David himself. Blessed is he who shows understanding toward the needy and the poor. The Lord will deliver him in the evil day.
Pou direktè koral la; Yon Sòm David A la beni (sila) ki konsidere ka malere a beni! SENYÈ a va delivre li nan jou twoub li.
2 May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth. And may he not hand him over to the will of his adversaries.
SENYÈ a va pwoteje li e fè l viv. Li va rele beni sou latè a. Ni li p ap livre a volonte lènmi li yo.
3 May the Lord bring him help on his bed of sorrow. In his infirmity, you have changed his entire covering.
SENYÈ a va bay li soutyen lè l malad sou kabann nan. Nan maladi li, li va restore li a lasante.
4 I said, “O Lord, be merciful to me. Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”
Konsa, pou mwen, mwen te di: “O SENYÈ, fè m gras. Geri nanm mwen paske mwen te peche kont Ou.”
5 My enemies have spoken evils against me. When will he die and his name perish?
Lènmi m yo pale mal kont mwen: “Kilè l ap mouri pou non li disparèt?”
6 And when he came in to see me, he was speaking emptiness. His heart gathered iniquity to itself. He went outside, and he was speaking in the same way.
Si li vin wè m, li bay manti. Kè li ranmase mechanste pou kont li. Lè l sòti deyò, li pale sa.
7 All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.
Tout (sila) ki rayi mwen yo soufle ti pawòl nan zòrèy youn lòt. Kont mwen, yo fè plan pou donmaje mwen epi yo di:
8 They established an unjust word against me. Will he that sleeps no longer rise again?
“Yon bagay mechan gen tan pran l, pou lè l kouche, pou l pa leve ankò.”
9 For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has greatly supplanted me.
Menm zanmi ki te pre m nan, nan (sila) mwen te mete konfyans la, li ki te manje pen mwen, te leve talon li kont mwen.
10 But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again. And I will requite them.
Men Ou menm, O SENYÈ, fè m gras e fè m leve pou m kab bay yo rekonpans yo.
11 By this, I knew that you preferred me: because my adversary will not rejoice over me.
Se konsa mwen konnen ke Ou pran plezi nan mwen. Akoz lènmi mwen an pa kriye viktwa sou mwen.
12 But you have sustained me, because of my innocence, and you have confirmed me in your sight in eternity.
Pou mwen menm, Ou soutni mwen nan entegrite m, epi Ou mete mwen nan prezans Ou jis pou tout tan.
13 Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for all generations and even forever. Amen. Amen.
Beni se SENYÈ a, Bondye Israël la, soti pou tout tan, jis rive pou tout tan. Amen e amen.
