Psalms 36
1 Unto the end. To the servant of the Lord, David himself. The unjust one has said within himself that he would commit offenses. There is no fear of God before his eyes.
Načelniku godbe; pesem hlapca Gospodovega, Davida. Beseda pregrehe krivičnega je v srca mojega globočini: Pred očmi njegovimi ni strahu Božjega.
2 For he has acted deceitfully in his sight, such that his iniquity will be found to be hatred.
Slepí se v svojih očéh, ko doseže krivico svojo, katero naj bi sovražil.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He is unwilling to understand, so that he may act well.
Besede ust njegovih so prazne in zvijačne; rabiti jenja razum, da bi delal dobro.
4 He has been considering iniquity on his bed. He has set himself on every way that is not good; moreover, he has not hated evil.
Ničemurnost misli v postelji svoji, stopa na pot, ki ni dobra: hudega ne zameta.
5 Lord, your mercy is in heaven, and your truth is even to the clouds.
Gospod, v nebesih je milost tvoja, zvestoba tvoja noter do gornjih oblakov.
6 Your justice is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great abyss. Men and beasts, you will save, O Lord.
Pravica tvoja kakor največje gore, sodbe tvoje valovi veliki; ljudî in živali ohranjaš, Gospod.
7 How you have multiplied your mercy, O God! And so the sons of men will hope under the cover of your wings.
Kako dražestna je milost tvoja, Bog, ko sinovi človeški pribegajo v senco peróti tvojih.
8 They will be inebriated with the fruitfulness of your house, and you will give them to drink from the torrent of your enjoyment.
Preobilno se napolnjujejo z obilostjo hiše tvoje, in iz potoka svojih slasti jih napajaš.
9 For with you is the fountain of life; and within your light, we will see the light.
Ker pri tebi je življenja vir, v svetlobi tvoji uživamo svetlobo.
10 Extend your mercy before those who know you, and your justice to these, who are upright in heart.
Pomóli milost svojo njim, ki te spoznavajo, in pravico svojo pravičnim v srci.
11 May arrogant feet not approach me, and may the hand of the sinner not disturb me.
Ne zadeni me prevzetnega noga, in roka krivičnih naj me ne zapelje, da zaidem.
12 In that place, those who work iniquity have fallen. They have been expelled; they were not able to stand.
Ko padejo hudodelniki, zaženó se tako, da ne morejo vstati.
