< Psalms 3 >
1 A Psalm of David. When he fled from the face of his son, Absalom. Lord, why have those who trouble me been multiplied? Many rise up against me.
Zaburi mar Daudi, kane oringo oa ir wuode Abisalom. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, mano kaka wasika thoth! Mano kaka joma lawa ngʼeny!
2 Many say to my soul, “There is no salvation for him in his God.” (Pause)
Ji mangʼeny wuoyo kuoma, kagiwacho ni, “Nyasaye ok bi rese.” (Sela)
3 But you, Lord, are my supporter, my glory, and the one who raises up my head.
To In e okumbana mogengʼa, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; In ema imiyo alocho, kendo isetingʼo wiya malo.
4 I have cried out to the Lord with my voice, and he has heard me from his holy mountain. (Pause)
Aywak matek ka alemo ni Jehova Nyasaye, kendo odwoka gie gode maler. (Sela)
5 I have slept, and I have been stupefied. But I awakened because the Lord has taken me up.
Ariera piny mondo anindi; kendo achako aa malo, nikech Jehova Nyasaye orita.
6 I will not fear the thousands of people surrounding me. Rise up, Lord. Save me, my God.
Ok abi luoro ji gana gi gana molwora mondo otimna marach.
7 For you have struck all those who oppose me without cause. You have broken the teeth of sinners.
Aa malo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye! Resa, yaye Nyasacha! Tur chok lemb wasika duto; Muk leke joma timbegi richo.
8 Salvation is of the Lord, and your blessing is upon your people. (Pause)
Resruok aa mana kuom Jehova Nyasaye. Mad igweth jogi. (Sela)
