< Psalms 140 >
1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. Rescue me, O Lord, from the evil man. Rescue me from the iniquitous leader.
Abụ nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid. O Onyenwe anyị, dọpụta m site nʼaka ndị na-eme ihe ọjọọ. Chebe m ka m ghara ịdaba nʼaka ndị na-eme ihe ike dị iche iche.
2 Those who have devised iniquities in their hearts: all day long they constructed conflicts.
Ndị na-atụ atụmatụ ime ihe ọjọọ nʼobi ha na-akpali agha ụbọchị niile.
3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. The venom of asps is under their lips.
Ha na-eme ire ha ka ha dị nkọ dịka nke agwọ; elo ajụala dị nʼegbugbere ọnụ ha. (Sela)
4 Preserve me, O Lord, from the hand of the sinner, and rescue me from men of iniquity. They have decided to supplant my steps.
Chebe m Onyenwe anyị, ka m ghara ịdaba nʼaka ndị na-emebi iwu; chebe m ka m ghara ịdaba nʼaka ndị na-eme ihe ike, ndị na-eche echiche ọdịda m.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me. And they have stretched out cords for a snare. They have placed a stumbling block for me near the road.
Ndị mpako esielera m ọnya igbudu; ha agbasaala ụgbụ ha na udo ha, siekwara m ọnya dị iche iche nʼụzọ m na-aga. (Sela)
6 I said to the Lord: You are my God. O Lord, heed the voice of my supplication.
A sịrị m Onyenwe anyị, “Gị onwe gị bụ Chineke m.” Nụrụ, O Onyenwe anyị, olu arịrịọ m maka amara.
7 Lord, O Lord, the strength of my salvation: you have overshadowed my head in the day of war.
Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị Onye nzọpụta m dị ike, ị na-ekpuchi isi m nʼụbọchị agha.
8 O Lord, do not hand me over to the sinner by my desire. They have plotted against me. Do not abandon me, lest they should triumph.
Ekwekwala ka ndị ajọ omume chọta ihe ha na-achọ, o Onyenwe anyị, ekwekwala ka nzube ha mezuo. (Sela)
9 The head of those who encompass me, the labor of their lips, will overwhelm them.
Ndị niile gbara m gburugburu na-ebuli isi ha elu na nganga ka ndụ ọjọọ nke egbugbere ọnụ ha rikpuo ha.
10 Burning coals will fall upon them. You will cast them down into the fire, into miseries that they will not be able to withstand.
Ka icheku ọkụ na-ere ere dakwasị ha; ka a tụba ha nʼime ọkụ na-ere ere, nʼime olulu apịtị jupụtara, nke ha na-enweghị ike isite nʼime ya pụta ọzọ.
11 A talkative man will not be guided aright upon the earth. Evils will drag the unjust man unto utter ruin.
Ekwela ka ndị na-ekwu okwu nkwulu guzosie ike nʼala, ka ihe ọjọọ chụda ndị na-eme ihe ike.
12 I know that the Lord will accomplish justice for the needy and vindication for the poor.
Amaara m na Onyenwe anyị ga-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi nye ndị ogbenye na-emekwa ka ndị nọ na mkpa nweta ihe ruuru ha.
13 So then, truly, the just will confess your name, and the upright will dwell with your countenance.
Nʼezie, ndị ezi omume ga-eto aha gị, ndị ziri ezi ga-ebikwa nʼihu gị.
