Psalms 140
1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. Rescue me, O Lord, from the evil man. Rescue me from the iniquitous leader.

2 Those who have devised iniquities in their hearts: all day long they constructed conflicts.
A lungbuei khuiah boethae a huet uh tih khohnin takuem caem a hueh uh. (Selah)
3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. The venom of asps is under their lips.
A lai te rhul bangla a suih tih a hmuilai dongah minta sue kap. (Selah)
4 Preserve me, O Lord, from the hand of the sinner, and rescue me from men of iniquity. They have decided to supplant my steps.
BOEIPA aw halang kut lamkah neh hlang kah kuthlahnah lamloh kai dawndah lah. Ka kho ah kalh sak ham moeh uh cakhaw kai nan kueinah coeng.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me. And they have stretched out cords for a snare. They have placed a stumbling block for me near the road.
Thinthah rhoek loh kai ham pael neh rhuihet uh a tung uh. Namtlak hmoi ah lawk a tung uh tih kai hamla hlaeh a tung uh. (Selah)
6 I said to the Lord: You are my God. O Lord, heed the voice of my supplication.
BOEIPA taengah, “Namah tah kai kah Pathen. BOEIPA aw ka huithuinah ol he hnakaeng lah,” ka ti.
7 Lord, O Lord, the strength of my salvation: you have overshadowed my head in the day of war.
Ka Boeipa Yahovah tah kai kah khangnah sarhi ni. Lungpokhaica khohnin ah pataeng ka lu soah nan khuk coeng.
8 O Lord, do not hand me over to the sinner by my desire. They have plotted against me. Do not abandon me, lest they should triumph.
BOEIPA aw halang kah huengaihnah te na rhoi moenih. A kopoek thae na dang sak pawt te ni a pomsang uh eh. (Selah)
9 The head of those who encompass me, the labor of their lips, will overwhelm them.
Kai aka ven rhoek kah a lu te amamih hmuilai kah thakthaenah loh amamih te thing rhoe thing saeh.
10 Burning coals will fall upon them. You will cast them down into the fire, into miseries that they will not be able to withstand.
Amih soah hmai-alh tla rhoe tla saeh. Amih te hmai khui neh rhomdung khuila cungku saeh lamtah thoo uh boel saeh.
11 A talkative man will not be guided aright upon the earth. Evils will drag the unjust man unto utter ruin.
Olsai hlang he hlang kah khohmuen ah naepnoi boel saeh. Boethae kuthlahnah te khaw pathaeng payang la yoep saeh.
12 I know that the Lord will accomplish justice for the needy and vindication for the poor.
Mangdaeng kah dumlai neh khodaeng kah laitloeknah BOEIPA loh a rhoi te ka ming rhoela ka ming.
13 So then, truly, the just will confess your name, and the upright will dwell with your countenance.
Aka dueng rhoek loh na ming te rhep a uem uh vetih aka Olsai rhoek ni na mikhmuh ah kho a sak uh eh.
