Psalms 132
1 A Canticle in steps. O Lord, remember David and all his meekness,
Ein Wallfahrtslied. Gedenke, o HERR, dem David alle seine Mühen,
2 how he swore to the Lord, how he made a vow to the God of Jacob:
daß er dem HERRN schwur und dem Mächtigen Jakobs gelobte:
3 I shall not enter into the tabernacle of my house, nor climb into the bed where I lie down;
Ich will nicht in das Zelt meines Hauses gehen, noch auf das Lager meines Bettes steigen,
4 I shall not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids
ich will meinen Augen keinen Schlaf und meinen Augenlidern keinen Schlummer gönnen,
5 and rest to my temples, until I find a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
bis ich eine Stätte gefunden habe für den HERRN, eine Wohnung für den Mächtigen Jakobs!
6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We discovered it in the fields of the forest.
Siehe, wir hörten, sie sei zu Ephrata; wir haben sie gefunden im Gefilde von Jear!
7 We will enter into his tabernacle. We will adore in the place where his feet stood.
Wir wollen kommen zu seiner Wohnung, wir wollen anbeten beim Schemel seiner Füße!
8 Rise up, O Lord, into your resting place. You and the ark of your sanctification.
HERR, mache dich auf zu deiner Ruhestatt, du und die Lade deiner Macht!
9 Let your priests be clothed with justice, and let your saints exult.
Deine Priester sollen sich in Gerechtigkeit kleiden, und deine Frommen sollen jubeln.
10 For the sake of your servant David, do not turn away the face of your Christ.
Um Davids, deines Knechtes willen weise nicht ab das Angesicht deines Gesalbten!
11 The Lord has sworn the truth to David, and he will not disappoint: I will set upon your throne from the fruit of your lineage.
Der HERR hat David in Wahrheit geschworen, davon wird er nicht abgehen: «Von der Frucht deines Leibes will ich setzen auf deinen Thron!
12 If your sons will keep my covenant and these, my testimonies, which I will teach to them, then their sons will sit upon your throne even forever.
Werden deine Söhne meinen Bund bewahren und meine Zeugnisse, die ich sie lehren will, so sollen auch ihre Söhne für immer sitzen auf deinem Thron!»
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion. He has chosen it as his dwelling place.
Denn der HERR hat Zion erwählt und sie zu seiner Wohnung begehrt:
14 This is my resting place, forever and ever. Here I will dwell, for I have chosen it.
«Dies ist für immer meine Ruhestatt, hier will ich wohnen; denn so habe ich es begehrt.
15 When blessing, I will bless her widow. I will satisfy her poor with bread.
Ihre Nahrung will ich reichlich segnen, ihre Armen sättigen mit Brot.
16 I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will rejoice with great joy.
Ihre Priester will ich mit Heil bekleiden, und ihre Frommen sollen jubeln.
17 There, I will produce a horn to David. There, I have prepared a lamp for my Christ.
Dort will ich dem David ein Horn hervorsprossen lassen, eine Leuchte zurichten meinem Gesalbten.
18 I will clothe his enemies with confusion. But my sanctification will flourish over him.
Seine Feinde will ich mit Schande bekleiden; aber auf ihm soll seine Krone glänzen!»
