Psalms 13

1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord? Will you forget me until the end? How long will you turn your face away from me?

Pour le chef musicien. Un psaume de David. Combien de temps, Yahvé? M'oublieras-tu pour toujours? Combien de temps vas-tu me cacher ton visage?

2 How long can I take counsel in my soul, sorrowing in my heart throughout the day?

Jusqu'à quand consulterai-je mon âme? avoir du chagrin dans mon cœur tous les jours? Combien de temps mon ennemi triomphera-t-il de moi?

3 How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

Voici, et réponds-moi, Yahvé, mon Dieu. Donne de la lumière à mes yeux, de peur que je ne m'endorme dans la mort;

4 Look upon me and listen to me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes, lest I fall asleep forever in death,

de peur que mon ennemi ne dise: « Je l'ai vaincu ». de peur que mes adversaires ne se réjouissent de ma chute.

5 lest at any time my enemy may say, “I have prevailed against him.” Those who trouble me will exult, if I have been disturbed.

Mais j'ai confiance en ta bonté. Mon cœur se réjouit de votre salut.

6 But I have hoped in your mercy. My heart will exult in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, who assigns good things to me. And I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord Most High.

Je chanterai à Yahvé, parce qu'il a été bon pour moi.
