< Psalms 126 >

1 A Canticle in steps. When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we became like those who are consoled.
Svētku dziesma. Kad Tas Kungs atkal atveda Ciānas cietumniekus, tad mēs bijām tā kā kas sapņus redz;
2 Then our mouth was filled with gladness and our tongue with exultation. Then they will say among the nations: “The Lord has done great things for them.”
Tad mūsu mute bija pilna smiešanās un mūsu mēle pilna gavilēšanas; tad sacīja starp pagāniem: Tas Kungs lielas lietas pie šiem ir darījis.
3 The Lord has done great things for us. We have become joyful.
Tas Kungs lielas lietas pie mums ir darījis, par to priecājamies.
4 Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.
Ak Kungs, atved atpakaļ mūsu cietumniekus, kā upes dienvidu zemē!
5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in exultation.
Kas ar asarām sēj, ar gavilēšanu pļaus;
6 When departing, they went forth and wept, sowing their seeds. But when returning, they will arrive with exultation, carrying their sheaves.
Tie aiziet un raud, dārgu sēklu nesdami, bet tiešām ar prieku tie atkal nāks un nesīs savus kūlīšus.
