Psalms 124

1 A Canticle in steps. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel now say it:

၁အ​ကယ်​၍​ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​သာ ငါ​တို့​ဘက်​၌​ရှိ​တော်​မ​မူ​ခဲ့​လျှင်​အ​ဘယ်​သို့ ဖြစ်​ပါ​လိမ့်​မည်​နည်း။ အို ဣသ​ရေ​လ​အ​မျိုး​သား​တို့၊ဖြေ​ကြား​ကြ​လော့။

2 if the Lord had not been with us, when men rose up against us,

၂ငါ​တို့​အား​ရန်​သူ​များ​တိုက်​ခိုက်​ကြ​စဉ်​အ​ခါ​က ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​သာ​ငါ​တို့​ဘက်​၌​ရှိ​တော် မ​မူ​ခဲ့​လျှင်

3 perhaps they would have swallowed us alive. When their fury was enraged against us,

၃သူ​တို့​သည်​ဒေါ​သ​အ​မျက်​ချောင်း​ချောင်း​ထွက်​၍ ငါ​တို့​အား​အ​ရှင်​လတ်​လတ်​ဝါး​မျို​လိုက်​ကြ လိမ့်​မည်။

4 perhaps the waters would have engulfed us.

၄ထို​နောက်​ငါ​တို့​သည်​ရေ​စီး​ရာ​သို့​မျော​ပါ​သွား​၍ ရေ​သည်​ငါ​တို့​ကို​လွှမ်း​မိုး​လိမ့်​မည်။

5 Our soul has passed through a torrent. Perhaps, our soul had even passed through intolerable water.

၅ငါ​တို့​သည်​အ​ဟုန်​ပြင်း​သည့်​ရေ​စီး​ချောင်း​တွင် နစ်​မြုပ်​သွား​ကြ​လိမ့်​မည်။

6 Blessed is the Lord, who has not given us into the harm of their teeth.

၆ငါ​တို့​ကို​ရန်​သူ​များ​အုပ်​ဖမ်း​ကိုက်​စား​သည့် အ​စာ​ဖြစ်​ခွင့်​ပေး​တော်​မ​မူ​သော​ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​၏ ကျေး​ဇူး​တော်​ကို​ချီး​မွမ်း​ကြ​ကုန်​စို့။

7 Our soul has been snatched away like a sparrow from the snare of the hunters. The snare has been broken, and we have been freed.

၇ငါ​တို့​သည်​မု​ဆိုး​၏​ကျော့​ကွင်း​မှ​လွတ်​မြောက် လာ​သော ငှက်​ကဲ့​သို့​သေ​ဘေး​မှ​လွတ်​မြောက်​ကြ​လေ​ပြီ။ ကျော့​ကွင်း​ပြတ်​၍​ငါ​တို့​လွတ်​မြောက်​ရ​ကြ​၏။

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

၈ငါ​တို့​သည်​ကူ​ညီ​မ​စ​မှု​ကို​ကောင်း​ကင်​နှင့် ကမ္ဘာ​မြေ​ကြီး​ကို​ဖန်​ဆင်း​တော်​မူ​သော ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​၏​ထံ​တော်​မှ​ရ​ရှိ​ကြ သ​တည်း။
