Psalms 124

1 A Canticle in steps. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel now say it:

१दाऊद की यात्रा का गीत इस्राएल यह कहे, कि यदि हमारी ओर यहोवा न होता,

2 if the Lord had not been with us, when men rose up against us,

२यदि यहोवा उस समय हमारी ओर न होता जब मनुष्यों ने हम पर चढ़ाई की,

3 perhaps they would have swallowed us alive. When their fury was enraged against us,

३तो वे हमको उसी समय जीवित निगल जाते, जब उनका क्रोध हम पर भड़का था,

4 perhaps the waters would have engulfed us.

४हम उसी समय जल में डूब जाते और धारा में बह जाते;

5 Our soul has passed through a torrent. Perhaps, our soul had even passed through intolerable water.

५उमड़ते जल में हम उसी समय ही बह जाते।

6 Blessed is the Lord, who has not given us into the harm of their teeth.

६धन्य है यहोवा, जिसने हमको उनके दाँतों तले जाने न दिया!

7 Our soul has been snatched away like a sparrow from the snare of the hunters. The snare has been broken, and we have been freed.

७हमारा जीव पक्षी के समान चिड़ीमार के जाल से छूट गया; जाल फट गया और हम बच निकले!

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

८यहोवा जो आकाश और पृथ्वी का कर्ता है, हमारी सहायता उसी के नाम से होती है।
