< Psalms 120 >
1 A Canticle in steps. When troubled, I cried out to the Lord, and he heard me.
Abụ nrigo. Ana m akpọku Onyenwe anyị nʼime nsogbu m, ọ na-azakwa m.
2 O Lord, free my soul from lips of iniquity and from the deceitful tongue.
O Onyenwe anyị, zọpụta m site nʼegbugbere ọnụ okwu ụgha na ire na-ekwu okwu aghụghọ.
3 What will be given to you, or what will be added to you, for a deceitful tongue?:
Gịnị ka a ga-eme gị, ọ bụkwa gịnị ọzọ ka a gatụkwasịri gị, gị ire aghụghọ?
4 the sharp arrows of the powerful, along with the burning coals of desolation.
Ọ ga-eji àkụ dị nkọ nke dike nʼagha taa gị ahụhụ, ya na icheku ọkụ osisi brum na-ere ere.
5 Woe to me, for my sojourning has been prolonged. I have lived with the inhabitants of Kedar.
Ahụhụ dịịrị m nʼihi na m bi na Meshek, nʼihi na m bikwa nʼetiti ụlọ ikwu ndị Keda!
6 My soul has long been a sojourner.
Ogologo oge ka m binyere ndị kpọrọ udo asị.
7 With those who hated peace, I was peaceful. When I spoke to them, they fought against me without cause.
Abụ m onye udo; ma mgbe m kwuru okwu, okwu ha bụ okwu agha.
