Psalms 118
1 Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.
Славте Господа, бо Він добрий, бо навіки Його милосердя.
2 Let Israel now say: For he is good, for his mercy is forever.
Нехай скаже Ізраїль: «Бо навіки Його милосердя!»
3 Let the house of Aaron now say: For his mercy is forever.
Нехай скаже дім Ааронів: «Бо навіки Його милосердя!»
4 Let those who fear the Lord now say: For his mercy is forever.
Нехай скажуть ті, що бояться Господа: «Бо навіки Його милосердя!»
5 In my tribulation, I called upon the Lord. And the Lord heeded me with generosity.
Із тісноти покликав я Господа – Господь відповів мені, [вивів мене] на просторе місце.
6 The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.
Господь зі мною – не боятимуся! Що зробить мені людина?
7 The Lord is my helper. And I will look down upon my enemies.
Господь зі мною, щоб допомагати мені – буду дивитися [переможно] на моїх ненависників.
8 It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in man.
Краще захисту шукати в Господа, ніж надіятися на людину.
9 It is good to hope in the Lord, rather than to hope in leaders.
Краще захисту шукати в Господа, ніж надіятися на шляхетних [мужів].
10 All the nations have surrounded me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
Усі народи оточили мене, та іменем Господнім я знищив їх.
11 Surrounding me, they closed in on me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
Оточили мене, обступили з усіх боків, та іменем Господнім я знищив їх.
12 They surrounded me like a swarm, and they burned like fire among the thorns. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.
Оточили мене, як бджоли, та згасли, немов вогонь у терені: іменем Господнім я знищив їх.
13 Having been pushed, I was overturned so as to fall. But the Lord took me up.
Ти штовхнув мене, [вороже], так сильно, щоб я впав, та Господь допоміг мені.
14 The Lord is my strength and my praise. And he has become my salvation.
Сила моя і пісня моя – Господь; Він став моїм спасінням.
15 A voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.
Голос радості й перемоги в наметах праведників: правиця Господня діє могутньо!
16 The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue. The right hand of the Lord has exalted me. The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue.
Правиця Господня піднята вгору, правиця Господня діє могутньо!
17 I will not die, but I will live. And I will declare the works of the Lord.
Не помру, але буду жити й розповідати про діяння Господа.
18 When chastising, the Lord chastised me. But he has not delivered me over to death.
Господь покарав мене тяжко, та не віддав мене на смерть.
19 Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord.
Відчиніть мені брами правди, я увійду до них, прославлю Господа.
20 This is the gate of the Lord. The just will enter by it.
Це брама Господня, у яку входять праведні.
21 I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation.
Прославлю Тебе, бо Ти відповів мені й став моїм спасінням.
22 The stone which the builders have rejected, this has become the head of the corner.
Камінь, який відкинули будівничі, став наріжним каменем!
23 By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes.
Від Господа це було, як дивно це в очах наших!
24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us exult and rejoice in it.
Цей день створив Господь: веселімося й радіймо сьогодні!
25 O Lord, grant salvation to me. O Lord, grant good prosperity.
О Господи, врятуй же, о Господи, даруй нам успіх!
26 Blessed is he who arrives in the name of the Lord. We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
Благословенний Той, Хто йде в ім’я Господа! Благословляємо вас із дому Господнього!
27 The Lord is God, and he has enlightened us. Establish a solemn day amid a dense crowd, even to the horn of the altar.
Бог – це Господь, і Він осяяв нас. В’яжіть мотузками жертву святкову, ведіть до рогів жертовника.
28 You are my God, and I will confess to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will confess to you, for you have heeded me. And you have become my salvation.
Ти – мій Бог, і я прославлю Тебе. Боже мій, я величатиму Тебе.
29 Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.
Славте Господа, бо Він добрий, бо навіки Його милосердя.
