Psalms 118

1 Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

¡Hallelú Yah! Alabad a Yahvé porque es bueno, porque su misericordia permanece para siempre.

2 Let Israel now say: For he is good, for his mercy is forever.

Diga ahora la casa de Israel: “Su misericordia permanece para siempre.”

3 Let the house of Aaron now say: For his mercy is forever.

Diga la casa de Aarón: “Su misericordia permanece para siempre.”

4 Let those who fear the Lord now say: For his mercy is forever.

Digan los que temen a Yahvé: “Su misericordia permanece para siempre.”

5 In my tribulation, I called upon the Lord. And the Lord heeded me with generosity.

En la estrechez invoqué a Yah; y Yah me escuchó y me sacó a la anchura.

6 The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.

Yahvé está en mi favor, nada temo. ¿Qué podrá hacerme el hombre?

7 The Lord is my helper. And I will look down upon my enemies.

Yahvé, mi auxiliador, está conmigo y miraré (confundidos) a mis enemigos.

8 It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in man.

Mejor es acogerse a Yahvé que confiar en el hombre.

9 It is good to hope in the Lord, rather than to hope in leaders.

Mejor es acogerse a Yahvé que confiar en príncipes.

10 All the nations have surrounded me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

Todas las naciones me habían cercado; en el Nombre de Yahvé las hice pedazos.

11 Surrounding me, they closed in on me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

Me envolvieron por todas partes; en el Nombre de Yahvé las hice pedazos.

12 They surrounded me like a swarm, and they burned like fire among the thorns. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

Me rodeaban como abejas, ardían como fuego de espinas; en el Nombre de Yahvé las hice pedazos.

13 Having been pushed, I was overturned so as to fall. But the Lord took me up.

Empujado, empujado, estuve a punto de caer, pero Yahvé vino en mi ayuda.

14 The Lord is my strength and my praise. And he has become my salvation.

Mi fuerza y mi valor es Yahvé, mi Salvador es Él.

15 A voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.

Voz de exultación y de triunfo en las tiendas de los justos: “La diestra de Yahvé ha hecho proezas;

16 The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue. The right hand of the Lord has exalted me. The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue.

la diestra de Yahvé se alzó muy alto, la diestra de Yahvé ha hecho proezas.

17 I will not die, but I will live. And I will declare the works of the Lord.

No moriré, sino que viviré; y publicaré las hazañas de Yahvé.

18 When chastising, the Lord chastised me. But he has not delivered me over to death.

Me castigó Yah, me castigó, pero no me entregó a la muerte.”

19 Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord.

Abridme las puertas de la justicia, para que entre por ellas y dé gracias a Yah.

20 This is the gate of the Lord. The just will enter by it.

Esta es la puerta de Yahvé; entren los justos por ella.

21 I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation.

Te daré gracias porque me escuchaste y te has hecho mi Salvador.

22 The stone which the builders have rejected, this has become the head of the corner.

La piedra que rechazaron los constructores ha venido a ser la piedra angular.

23 By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes.

Obra de Yahvé es esto, admirable ante nuestros ojos.

24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us exult and rejoice in it.

Este es el día que hizo Yahvé; alegrémonos por él y celebrémoslo.

25 O Lord, grant salvation to me. O Lord, grant good prosperity.

Sí, oh Yahvé, ¡da la victoria! Sí, oh Yahvé, ¡da prosperidad!

26 Blessed is he who arrives in the name of the Lord. We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

Bendito el que viene en el nombre de Yahvé; desde la casa de Yahvé os bendecimos.

27 The Lord is God, and he has enlightened us. Establish a solemn day amid a dense crowd, even to the horn of the altar.

Yahvé es Dios y nos ha iluminado. Ordenad procesión con ramos frondosos hasta los cuernos del altar.

28 You are my God, and I will confess to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will confess to you, for you have heeded me. And you have become my salvation.

Mi Dios eres Tú y te doy gracias; mi Dios eres Tú, quiero alabarte;

29 Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

Alabad a Yahvé porque es bueno; porque su misericordia permanece para siempre.
