Numbers 23
1 And Balaam said to Balak, “Build seven altars here for me, and prepare as many calves, and the same number of rams.”
Балаам а зис луй Балак: „Зидеште-мь аич шапте алтаре ши прегэтеште-мь аич шапте вицей ши шапте бербечь.”
2 And when he had acted according to the words of Balaam, they placed a calf and a ram together on each altar.
Балак а фэкут кум спусесе Балаам, ши Балак ши Балаам ау адус кыте ун вицел ши кыте ун бербек пе фиекаре алтар.
3 And Balaam said to Balak: “Stand for a little while next to your holocaust, until I go, to see if perhaps the Lord will meet with me. And whatever he will command, I shall speak to you.”
Балаам а зис луй Балак: „Стай лынгэ ардеря та де тот, ши еу мэ вой депэрта де еа; поате кэ Домнул ымь ва еши ынаинте ши че-мь ва дескопери ыць вой спуне.” Ши с-а дус пе ун лок ыналт.
4 And after he had quickly departed, God met with him. And Balaam, speaking to him, said: “I have set up seven altars, and I have placed a calf and a ram on each.”
Думнезеу а венит ынаинтя луй Балаам ши Балаам Й-а зис: „Ам ридикат шапте алтаре ши, пе фиекаре алтар, ам адус кыте ун вицел ши кыте ун бербек.”
5 Then the Lord placed the word in his mouth, and he said: “Return to Balak, and you shall say this.”
Домнул а пус кувинте ын гура луй Балаам ши а зис: „Ынтоарче-те ла Балак ши аша сэ-й ворбешть.”
6 Returning, he found Balak standing next to his holocaust, with all the leaders of the Moabites.
Балаам с-а ынторс ла Балак ши ятэ кэ Балак стэтя лынгэ ардеря луй де тот, ел ши тоате кэпетенииле Моабулуй.
7 And taking up his parable, he said: “Balak, king of the Moabites, has led me from Aram, from the mountains of the east. ‘Come forth,’ he said, ‘and curse Jacob. Hurry and condemn Israel.’
Балаам шь-а ростит пророчия ши а зис: „Балак м-а адус дин Арам (Месопотамия). Ымпэратул Моабулуй м-а кемат дин мунций Рэсэритулуй, зикынд: ‘Вино ши блестемэ-мь пе Иаков! Вино ши дефэймязэ-мь пе Исраел!’
8 How shall I curse him, whom God has not cursed? For what reason would I condemn him, whom the Lord does not condemn?
Кум сэ блестем еу пе чел че ну-л блестемэ Думнезеу? Кум сэ дефэймез еу пе чел пе каре ну-л дефэймязэ Домнул?
9 I will look upon him from the tops of the stones, and I will consider him from the hills. This people shall dwell alone, and they shall not be counted among the nations.
Ыл вэд дин вырфул стынчилор, Ыл привеск де пе ынэлцимя дялурилор: Есте ун попор каре локуеште деопарте Ши ну фаче парте динтре нямурь.
10 Who can number the dust that is Jacob, and who can know the number of the stock of Israel? May my soul die a just death, and may my end be like theirs.”
Чине поате сэ нумере пулберя луй Иаков Ши сэ спунэ нумэрул унуй сферт дин Исраел? О, де аш мури де моартя челор неприхэниць Ши сфыршитул меу сэ фие ка ал лор!”
11 And Balak said to Balaam: “What is this that you are doing? I called for you, in order to curse my enemies, and to the contrary, you bless them.”
Балак а зис луй Балаам: „Че мь-ай фэкут? Те-ам луат сэ блестемь пе врэжмашул меу, ши ятэ кэ ту-л бинекувынтезь!”
12 He answered him, “How can I say anything other than what the Lord orders?”
Ел а рэспунс ши а зис: „Ну требуе оаре сэ спун че-мь пуне Домнул ын гурэ?”
13 Therefore, Balak said: “Come with me to another place, from where you may see a portion of Israel, though you cannot see them all. Curse them from there.”
Балак й-а зис: „Вино, те рог, ку мине ын алт лок, де унде ыл поць ведя, кэч аич ну везь декыт о парте дин ел, ну-л везь ынтрег. Ши де аколо сэ ми-л блестемь.”
14 And when he had led him to a lofty place, on the top of mount Pisgah, Balaam built seven altars, and placing upon each a calf and a ram,
Л-а дус ын кымпул Цофим, спре вырфул мунтелуй Писга, а зидит шапте алтаре ши а адус кыте ун вицел ши ун бербек пе фиекаре алтар.
15 he said to Balak, “Stand here next to your holocaust, while I continue on to meet him.”
Балаам а зис луй Балак: „Стай аич, лынгэ ардеря та де тот, ши еу мэ вой дуче ынаинтя луй Думнезеу.”
16 And when the Lord had met him, and had put the word in his mouth, he said, “Return to Balak, and you shall say this to him.”
Домнул а венит ынаинтя луй Балаам, й-а пус кувинте ын гурэ ши а зис: „Ынтоарче-те ла Балак ши аша сэ-й ворбешть.”
17 Returning, he found him standing next to his holocaust, and the leaders of the Moabites were with him. And Balak said to him, “What has the Lord spoken?”
Балаам с-а ынторс ла ел, ши ятэ кэ Балак стэтя лынгэ ардеря луй де тот, ку кэпетенииле Моабулуй. Балак й-а зис: „Че ць-а спус Домнул?”
18 But, taking up his parable, he said: “Stand, Balak, and pay attention. Listen, you son of Zippor.
Балаам шь-а ростит пророчия ши а зис: „Скоалэ-те, Балак, ши аскултэ! Я аминте ла мине, фиул луй Ципор!
19 God is not like a man, so that he would lie, nor is he like a son of man, so that he would be changed. Therefore, having spoken, will he not act? Has he ever spoken, and not fulfilled?
Думнезеу ну есте ун ом, ка сэ минтэ, Нич ун фиу ал омулуй, ка сэ-Й парэ рэу. Че а спус, оаре ну ва фаче? Че а фэгэдуит, оаре ну ва ымплини?
20 I was led here to bless, and I have no strength to hinder the blessing.
Ятэ кэ ам примит порункэ сэ бинекувынтез. Да, Ел а бинекувынтат, ши еу ну пот ынтоарче.
21 There is no idol in Jacob; neither is there a false image to be seen in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, and the resound of royal victory is in him.
Ел ну веде ничо фэрэделеӂе ын Иаков, Ну веде ничо рэутате ын Исраел. Домнул Думнезеул луй есте ку ел, Ел есте Ымпэратул луй, веселия луй.
22 God has led him away from Egypt; his strength is like that of the rhinoceros.
Думнезеу й-а скос дин Еӂипт, Тэрия Луй есте пентру ел ка а биволулуй.
23 There is no soothsaying in Jacob, nor any divination in Israel. In their times, it shall be told to Jacob and to Israel what God has wrought.
Дескынтекул ну поате фаче нимик ымпотрива луй Иаков, Нич врэжитория ымпотрива луй Исраел. Акум се поате спуне деспре Иаков ши Исраел: ‘Че лукрурь марь а фэкут Думнезеу!’
24 Behold, the people will rise up like a lioness, and lie down like a lion. But they will not lie down until they devour the prey and drink the blood of the slain.”
Да, попорул ачеста се скоалэ ка о леоайкэ Ши се ридикэ ынтокмай ка ун леу. Ну се кулкэ пынэ че н-а мынкат прада Ши н-а бэут сынӂеле челор учишь.”
25 And Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse him, nor bless him.”
Балак а зис луй Балаам: „Ну-л блестема, дар мэкар нич ну-л бинекувынта!”
26 And he said, “Have I not told you that whatever God would command of me, I would do?”
Балаам а рэспунс ши а зис луй Балак: „Ну ць-ам спус кэ вой фаче тот че ва спуне Домнул?”
27 And Balak said to him: “Come and I will lead you to another place. If perhaps it may please God, then you may curse them from there.”
Балак а зис луй Балаам: „Вино, те рог, те вой дуче ынтр-ун алт лок; поате кэ Думнезеу ва гэси ку кале сэ-мь блестемь де аколо пе попорул ачеста!”
28 And when he had led him on to the top of mount Peor, which looks out toward the wilderness,
Балак а дус пе Балаам пе вырфул мунтелуй Пеор, каре есте ку фаца спре пустиу.
29 Balaam said to him, “Build seven altars here for me, and prepare as many calves, and the same number of rams.”
Балаам а зис луй Балак: „Зидеште-мь аич шапте алтаре ши прегэтеште-мь аич шапте вицей ши шапте бербечь!”
30 Balak did as Balaam had said, and he placed on each altar a calf and a ram.
Балак а фэкут кум зисесе Балаам ши а адус кыте ун вицел ши кыте ун бербек пе фиекаре алтар.
