Nahum 2
1 He ascends, who would scatter before your eyes, who would maintain the blockade. Contemplate the way, fortify your back, reinforce virtue greatly.
നിനവേ, ഒരു സംഹാരകൻ നിനക്കെതിരേ മുന്നേറിവരുന്നു. കോട്ടകളെ കാവൽചെയ്ക, വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കുക, അര മുറുക്കുക, നിന്റെ സർവശക്തിയും സംഭരിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക!
2 For the Lord has repaid the arrogance of Jacob, just like the arrogance of Israel. For the despoilers have scattered them, and they have corrupted their procreation.
യഹോവ യാക്കോബിന്റെ മഹിമയെ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹിമപോലെ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കും. കവർച്ചക്കാർ അവരെ കൊള്ളയടിച്ച് ശൂന്യമാക്കി, അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളികൾ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞല്ലോ.
3 The shield of his strong ones is fire, the men of war are in scarlet. The reins of the chariot are fiery in the day of his preparation, and the drivers have been drugged.
അവന്റെ യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ പരിച ചെമന്നത്; പടയാളികൾ രക്താംബരം അണിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. സന്നാഹദിവസത്തിൽ അവരുടെ രഥങ്ങളിലെ ഇരുമ്പ് വെട്ടിത്തിളങ്ങുന്നു. സരളമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുന്തങ്ങൾ ചുഴറ്റിയെറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
4 They have become confused on their journey. The four-horse chariots have collided in the streets. Their appearance is like torches, like lightning dashing around.
രഥങ്ങൾ തെരുവുകളിലൂടെ പായുന്നു; ചത്വരങ്ങളിലൂടെ അങ്ങുമിങ്ങും ഓടുന്നു. എരിയുന്ന പന്തംപോലെ അവ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു; മിന്നൽപോലെ അവ പായുന്നു.
5 He will call to mind his strong ones; they will destroy along their journey. They will quickly ascend its walls, and a shelter will be prepared.
നിനവേ തന്റെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട യോദ്ധാക്കളെ വിളിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ അവർ വഴിയിൽവെച്ച് ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു. അവർ കോട്ടയിലേക്ക് അതിവേഗം പായുന്നു അവിടെയവർ രക്ഷാകവചം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 The gates of the rivers have been opened, and the temple has been pulled down to the ground.
നദിയിലെ മടക്കെട്ടുകൾ തുറന്നുവിടുന്നു; രാജമന്ദിരം തകർന്നടിയുന്നു.
7 And the foot soldier has been led away captive, and her handmaids were driven away, mourning like doves, murmuring in their hearts.
നിനവേയെ തടവുകാരിയാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിന് ഉത്തരവിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവളുടെ ദാസിമാർ പ്രാവുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞരങ്ങുകയും മാറത്തടിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.
8 And Nineveh, her waters are like a fish pond. Yet truly, they have fled away: “Stand, stand!” But there is no one who will turn back.
നിനവേ ഒരു ജലാശയംപോലെ ആകുന്നു അതിലെ വെള്ളം വാർന്നുപോകുന്നു. “നിൽക്കൂ! നിൽക്കൂ!” എന്ന് അവർ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുന്നില്ല.
9 Despoil the silver, despoil the gold. And there is no end to all the riches of desirable equipment.
വെള്ളി കൊള്ളയടിക്കുക! സ്വർണം കൊള്ളയടിക്കുക! എല്ലാ നിധികളിൽനിന്നുമുള്ള സമ്പത്തിനു കണക്കില്ല!
10 She has been scattered, and cut, and torn apart. And the heart melts, and the knees buckle, and weakness is in every temperament. And the faces of them all are like a black kettle.
അവൾ കൊള്ളയടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കപ്പെട്ടു, ശൂന്യയുമാക്കപ്പെട്ടു! ഹൃദയം ഉരുകുന്നു, മുഴങ്കാൽ ഇടറുന്നു, ശരീരം വിറയ്ക്കുന്നു, എല്ലാ മുഖവും വിളറുന്നു.
11 Where is the dwelling place of the lions, and the feeding ground of the young lions, to which the lion went, so as to open a way for the young lion, and so that there would be none to make them afraid?
സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ ഗുഹ എവിടെ? അവ തങ്ങളുടെ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ആഹാരംകൊടുത്തിരുന്ന സ്ഥലവും എവിടെ? സിംഹവും സിംഹിയും കുട്ടികളും നിർഭയരായി സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലം എവിടെ?
12 The lion seized enough for his young, and killed enough for his lionesses, and he filled his caves with prey, and his den with spoils.
സിംഹം തന്റെ കുട്ടികൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ആവശ്യത്തിനു കൊന്നു, തന്റെ ഇണയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ഇരയെ കഴുത്തുഞെരിച്ചു കൊന്നു. കൊന്നതിനെക്കൊണ്ട് തന്റെ ഒളിവിടങ്ങളും ഇരയെക്കൊണ്ട് തന്റെ ഗുഹകളും നിറച്ചു.
13 Behold, I will come to you, says the Lord of hosts, and I will burn your chariots even to smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. And I will exterminate your prey from the land, and the voice of your messengers shall no longer be heard.
“ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് എതിരാണ്,” സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രഥങ്ങളെ ചുട്ട് പുകയാക്കും വാൾ നിന്റെ സിംഹക്കുട്ടികളെ സംഹരിക്കും. ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിനക്ക് ഇരയെ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ സന്ദേശവാഹകരുടെ ശബ്ദം ഇനി ഒരിക്കലും കേൾക്കുകയില്ല.”
