Leviticus 24
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:
2 Instruct the sons of Israel, so that they may bring to you clear oil from the purest olives, in order to supply the lamps continuously
"Perintahkanlah kepada orang Israel, supaya mereka membawa kepadamu minyak zaitun tumbuk yang tulen untuk lampu, supaya lampu dapat dipasang dan tetap menyala.
3 outside the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall place these, from evening until morning, before the Lord, as a perpetual worship and ritual in your generations.
Harun harus tetap mengatur lampu-lampu itu di depan tabir yang menutupi tabut hukum, di dalam Kemah Pertemuan, dari petang sampai pagi, di hadapan TUHAN. Itulah suatu ketetapan untuk selama-lamanya bagimu turun-temurun.
4 They shall be placed upon the most pure candlestick in the sight of the Lord always.
Di atas kandil dari emas murni haruslah tetap diaturnya lampu-lampu itu di hadapan TUHAN."
5 You shall also receive fine wheat flour, and you shall bake twelve loaves from it, each loaf of which shall have two-tenths.
"Engkau harus mengambil tepung yang terbaik dan membakar dua belas roti bundar dari padanya, setiap roti bundar harus dibuat dari dua persepuluh efa;
6 And you shall arrange them, six on each side, upon the most pure table before the Lord.
engkau harus mengaturnya menjadi dua susun, enam buah sesusun, di atas meja dari emas murni itu, di hadapan TUHAN.
7 And you shall place upon them the clearest frankincense, so that the bread may be a memorial of oblation for the Lord.
Engkau harus membubuh kemenyan tulen di atas tiap-tiap susun; kemenyan itulah yang harus menjadi bagian ingat-ingatan roti itu, yakni suatu korban api-apian bagi TUHAN.
8 On each Sabbath, they shall be changed before the Lord, having been received from the sons of Israel as an everlasting covenant.
Setiap hari Sabat ia harus tetap mengaturnya di hadapan TUHAN; itulah dari pihak orang Israel suatu kewajiban perjanjian untuk selama-lamanya.
9 And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, so that they may eat these in the holy place; for it is the Holy of holies from the sacrifices of the Lord, as a perpetual right.
Roti itu teruntuk bagi Harun serta anak-anaknya dan mereka harus memakannya di suatu tempat yang kudus; itulah bagian maha kudus baginya dari segala korban api-apian TUHAN; itulah suatu ketetapan untuk selama-lamanya."
10 Then, behold, the son of an Israelite woman, whom she had born of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel, going out, was quarreling in the camp with a man of Israel.
Pada suatu hari datanglah seorang laki-laki, ibunya seorang Israel sedang ayahnya seorang Mesir, di tengah-tengah perkemahan orang Israel; dan orang itu berkelahi dengan seorang Israel di perkemahan.
11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was led to Moses. (Now his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri from the tribe of Dan.)
Anak perempuan Israel itu menghujat nama TUHAN dengan mengutuk, lalu dibawalah ia kepada Musa. Nama ibunya ialah Selomit binti Dibri dari suku Dan.
12 And they sent him to prison, until they might know what the Lord would command,
Ia dimasukkan dalam tahanan untuk menantikan keputusan sesuai dengan firman TUHAN.
13 who spoke to Moses,
Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa:
14 saying: Lead away the blasphemer beyond the camp, and let all who heard him place their hands upon his head, and let the entire people stone him.
"Bawalah orang yang mengutuk itu ke luar perkemahan dan semua orang yang mendengar haruslah meletakkan tangannya ke atas kepala orang itu, sesudahnya haruslah seluruh jemaah itu melontari dia dengan batu.
15 And you shall say to the sons of Israel: The man who curses his God shall bear his sin,
Engkau harus mengatakan kepada orang Israel, begini: Setiap orang yang mengutuki Allah harus menanggung kesalahannya sendiri.
16 and whoever will have blasphemed the name of the Lord shall be put to death. The entire multitude shall overwhelm him with stones, whether he be a citizen or a sojourner. Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall be put to death.
Siapa yang menghujat nama TUHAN, pastilah ia dihukum mati dan dilontari dengan batu oleh seluruh jemaah itu. Baik orang asing maupun orang Israel asli, bila ia menghujat nama TUHAN, haruslah dihukum mati.
17 Whoever will have struck and killed a man shall be put to death.
Juga apabila seseorang membunuh seorang manusia, pastilah ia dihukum mati.
18 Whoever will have struck down an animal shall repay its equivalent, that is, a life for a life.
Tetapi siapa yang memukul mati seekor ternak, harus membayar gantinya, seekor ganti seekor.
19 Whoever will have inflicted a blemish on any of his citizens, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him:
Apabila seseorang membuat orang sesamanya bercacat, maka seperti yang telah dilakukannya, begitulah harus dilakukan kepadanya:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he repay. Whatever degree of blemish he has inflicted, so shall he be compelled to suffer.
patah ganti patah, mata ganti mata, gigi ganti gigi; seperti dibuatnya orang lain bercacat, begitulah harus dibuat kepadanya.
21 Whoever strikes down a beast, shall repay another. Whoever strikes a man shall be punished.
Siapa yang memukul mati seekor ternak, ia harus membayar gantinya, tetapi siapa yang membunuh seorang manusia, ia harus dihukum mati.
22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether it is a sojourner or a citizen who will have sinned. For I am the Lord your God.
Satu hukum berlaku bagi kamu, baik bagi orang asing maupun bagi orang Israel asli, sebab Akulah TUHAN, Allahmu."
23 And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel. And they led away him who had blasphemed, beyond the camp, and they overwhelmed him with stones. And the sons of Israel did just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
Demikianlah Musa menyampaikan firman itu kepada orang Israel, lalu dibawalah orang yang mengutuk itu ke luar perkemahan, dan dilontarilah dia dengan batu. Maka orang Israel melakukan seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.
