Leviticus 21
1 The Lord also said to Moses: Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and you shall say to them: Do not allow a priest to be contaminated by the death of his citizens,
౧యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “యాజకులైన అహరోను కొడుకులతో ఇలా చెప్పు. మీలో ఎవరూ మీ ప్రజల్లో శవాన్ని ముట్టుకుని తనను అపవిత్రం చేసుకోకూడదు.
2 except only by his blood-relatives and near-relatives, that is, by a father or mother, or by a son or daughter, or also a brother,
౨అయితే తన రక్త సంబంధులు, అంటే తల్లి, తండ్రి, కొడుకు, కూతురు, సోదరుడు,
3 or a virgin sister, who is not married to a husband.
౩తన ఇంట్లో నివసిస్తున్న పెండ్లి కానీ కన్య అయిన సోదరి గానీ చనిపోతే ఆ శవాన్ని తాకడం వల్ల తనను అపవిత్ర పరచుకోవచ్చు.
4 But not even by the leader of his people shall he be contaminated.
౪యాజకుడు తన భార్య తరుపు బంధువుల కోసం తనను అపవిత్ర పరచుకుని మైల పడకూడదు.
5 Neither shall they shave their head or their beard, and they shall not make incisions in their flesh.
౫యాజకులు బోడిగుండు చేసుకోకూడదు. గడ్డం పక్కలను క్షవరం చేసుకో కూడదు. కత్తితో శరీరాన్ని గాట్లు పెట్టుకోకూడదు.
6 They shall be holy to their God, and they shall not pollute his name. For they offer the incense of the Lord and the bread of their God, and because of this they shall be holy.
౬వారు తమ దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితమైనవారుగా ఉండాలి. తమ దేవుని నామాన్ని అప్రదిష్ట పాలు చెయ్యకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే వారు తమ దేవునికి ‘నైవేద్యం’ అంటే యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యాలు అర్పించే వారు. కాబట్టి వారు పవిత్రంగా ఉండాలి.
7 They shall not take as a wife a promiscuous woman, or a prostitute, or her who has been repudiated by her husband. For they are consecrated to their God,
౭వారు వేశ్యను గానీ చెడిపోయిన దాన్ని గానీ పెళ్లాడకూడదు. భర్త విడాకులు ఇచ్చిన స్త్రీని పెళ్లి చేసుకోకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే యాజకుడు తన దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు.
8 and they offer the bread of the presence. Therefore, let them be holy, for I also am holy: the Lord, who sanctifies them.
౮అతడు నీ దేవుడికి ‘నైవేద్యం’ అర్పించే వాడు గనక నీవు అతణ్ణి పరిశుద్ధపరచాలి. మిమ్మల్ని పరిశుద్ధ పరిచే యెహోవా అనే నేను పవిత్రుణ్ణి గనక అతడు మీ దృష్టికి పవిత్రుడుగా ఉండాలి.
9 If the daughter of a priest will have been taken into prostitution, and will have violated the name of her father, she shall be consumed by fire.
౯యాజకుని కూతురు వేశ్యగా తనను అపవిత్రపరచు కున్నట్టైతే ఆమె తన తండ్రికి అప్రదిష్ట తీసుకువస్తుంది. ఆమెను సజీవ దహనం చెయ్యాలి.
10 The high priest, that is, the priest who is the greatest among his brothers, upon whose head the oil of anointing has been poured, and whose hands have been consecrated for the priesthood, and who has been vested with the holy vestments: he shall not expose his head; he shall not rend his vestments.
౧౦సోదరుల్లో ప్రధాన యాజకుడు కావడానికి ఎవరి తలమీద అభిషేక తైలం పోస్తారో, ప్రధాన యాజక దుస్తులు ధరించడానికి ఎవరు ప్రతిష్ట అవుతారో అతడు తన జుట్టు విరబోసుకోకూడదు. తన బట్టలు చింపుకోకూడదు.
11 And he shall not enter to any dead body whatsoever; likewise, not even by his father or mother shall he be contaminated.
౧౧అతడు శవం ఉన్న చోటికి పోకూడదు. తన తండ్రి శవం మూలంగా గానీ తన తల్లి శవం మూలంగా గానీ మైల పడకూడదు.
12 Neither shall he exit from the holy places, lest he pollute the Sanctuary of the Lord. For the oil of the holy anointing of his God is upon him. I am the Lord.
౧౨ప్రధానయాజకుడు పరిశుద్ధమందిరాన్ని విడిచి వెళ్లకూడదు. తన దేవుని పరిశుద్ధ మందిరాన్ని మైల పడేలా చెయ్యకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే తన దేవుని అభిషేక తైలం వల్ల అతడు ప్రధాన యాజకునిగా అభిషేకం పొందాడు. నేను యెహోవాను.
13 He shall take a virgin as his wife.
౧౩అతడు కన్యను మాత్రమే పెళ్ళాడాలి.
14 But a widow, or one who has been repudiated or defiled, or also a mistress, he shall not accept, but only a maiden from among his own people.
౧౪వితంతువును గానీ విడాకులు తీసుకున్న స్త్రీని గానీ వేశ్యను గానీ అలాటి వారిని కాక తన ప్రజల్లోని కన్యనే పెళ్లాడాలి.
15 He shall not mingle the stock of his family with the common people of his nation. For I am the Lord, who sanctifies him.
౧౫అతడు ఈ నియమాలు పాటించాలి. యెహోవా అనే నేను అతణ్ణి పవిత్రపరిచే వాణ్ణి గనక అతడు తన ప్రజల్లో తన సంతానాన్ని అపవిత్ర పరచకూడదు.”
16 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
౧౬యెహోవా మోషేకు ఇలా ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు.
17 Say to Aaron: A man from your offspring, throughout their families, who has a blemish, shall not offer the bread to his God.
౧౭“నీవు అహరోనుతో ఇలా చెప్పు. నీ సంతానంలో ఎవరికైనా కళంకమేదైనా కలిగితే అతడు తన దేవుడికి నైవేద్యం అర్పించడానికి సమీపించ కూడదు.
18 Neither shall he approach to minister to him: if he is blind, if he is lame, if he is small, or large, or has a crooked nose,
౧౮ఎందుకంటే ఎవరిలో కళంకం ఉంటుందో, అంటే వాడు గుడ్డి వాడైనా, కుంటివాడైనా, వికృత రూపి అయినా,
19 if his foot or hand is broken,
౧౯కాలు గానీ చెయ్యి గానీ అవిటితనం ఉన్నా,
20 if he has a bulging back or bleary eyes, or if he has a white spot in his eye, or a chronic scab, or a skin disease on his body, or a hernia.
౨౦గూనివాడైనా, మరుగుజ్జువాడైనా, కంటి దోషం లేక జబ్బు ఉన్నవాడైనా, గజ్జి, పక్కు ఉన్నవాడైనా వృషణాలు నలిగినవాడైనా అలాంటివాడు సమీపించకూడదు.
21 Anyone from the offspring of Aaron, the priest, who has a blemish, shall not approach to offer sacrifices to the Lord, nor the bread to his God.
౨౧యాజకుడైన అహరోను సంతానంలో అవిటితనం గలవారెవరూ యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యాలు అర్పించడానికి దగ్గరికి రాకూడదు. అతడు అవిటి వాడు. అలాటి వాడు తన దేవునికి నైవేద్యం పెట్టడానికి దగ్గరికి రాకూడదు.
22 Nevertheless, he shall eat from the loaves which are offered in the Sanctuary.
౨౨అతి పరిశుద్ధమైనవిగాని, పరిశుద్ధమైనవిగాని, తన దేవునికి అర్పించే ఏ ఆహార వస్తువులైనా అతడు తినొచ్చు.
23 But even so, he may not enter within the veil, nor approach to the altar. For he has a blemish, and he must not contaminate my Sanctuary. I am the Lord, who sanctifies them.
౨౩మొత్తం మీద అతడు అవిటితనం గలవాడు గనక అడ్డతెర ఎదుటికి అతడు రాకూడదు. బలిపీఠం సమీపించకూడదు.
24 Therefore, Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all of Israel, everything that had been commanded to him.
౨౪నా పరిశుద్ధ స్థలాలను అపవిత్రపరచకూడదు. వారిని పరిశుద్ధ పరిచే యెహోవాను నేనే అని వారితో చెప్పు.” మోషే ఈ విధంగా అహరోనుతో, అతని కొడుకుల తో ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితో ఈ విషయాలు చెప్పాడు.
