Job 28
1 Silver has its fissures where it is first found, and gold has a place where it is melted.
੧ਚਾਂਦੀ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਖਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਲਈ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 Iron is taken from the earth, and ore, unbound by heat, is turned into brass.
੨ਲੋਹਾ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਾਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਲ਼ ਕੇ ਤਾਂਬਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
3 He has established a time for darkness, and he has settled on an end for all things, as well as for the stone that is in the gloom and shadow of death.
੩ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਯੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
4 The burning separates a pilgrim people from those who have been forgotten by the feet of the destitute man and from the unapproachable.
੪ਉਹ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਖੋਦਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲਟਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
5 The land, where bread appeared in its place, has been destroyed by fire.
੫ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਹੇਠਲਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਅੱਗ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 Its stones are embedded with sapphires, and its soil, with gold.
੬ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਨੀਲਮ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੱਰੇ ਹਨ।
7 The bird does not know its path, nor has the eye of the vulture beheld it.
੭ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਪੰਛੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ, ਨਾ ਬਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
8 The sons of merchants have not walked there, nor has the lioness traveled through it.
੮ਘਾਤਕ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 He has stretched out his hand to the rocks; he has overturned the foundations of the mountains.
੯ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਚਕਮਕ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਉਲੱਦ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
10 He has cut rivers through the rocks, and his eye has seen all precious things.
੧੦ਉਹ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਲੇ ਖੋਦਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਹਰੇਕ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
11 The depths of rivers he has also examined, and he has brought hidden things into the light.
੧੧ਉਹ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੋਂਦੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਛਿਪੀ ਹੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
12 But, in truth, where is wisdom to be found, and where is the place of understanding?
੧੨ਪਰ ਬੁੱਧ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਲੱਭੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ?
13 Man does not know its price, nor is it found in the land of those who live in sweetness.
੧੩ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ ਹੈ।
14 The abyss declares, “It is not in me.” And the sea says, “It is not with me.”
੧੪ਡੂੰਘਿਆਈ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, “ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ” ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
15 The finest gold will not be paid for it, nor will silver be weighed in exchange for it.
੧੫ਉਹ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਈ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਤੋਲੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
16 It will not be compared with the dyed colors of India, nor with the very costly stone sardonyx, nor with the sapphire.
੧੬ਓਫੀਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਭਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਨਾ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਤੋਂ, ਨਾ ਨੀਲਮ ਤੋਂ।
17 Neither gold nor crystal will be its equal; neither will vessels of gold be fitted for it.
੧੭ਸੋਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
18 The exalted and the eminent will not be remembered in comparison with it. Yet wisdom is drawn out of concealment.
੧੮ਮੂੰਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੌਰ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀ ਤੁਲਣਾ ਹੈ? ਸਗੋਂ ਬੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਮੋਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ।
19 The topaz of Ethiopia will not be equal to it, nor will it be compared to the purest dyes.
੧੯ਇਥੋਪਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁਖਰਾਜ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
20 So then, where does wisdom begin, and where is the place of understanding?
੨੦ਬੁੱਧ ਫੇਰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ?
21 It has been hidden from the eyes of all living things, just as the birds of the heavens escape notice.
੨੧ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਛਿਪੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
22 Perdition and death have said, “With our ears, we have heard its fame.”
੨੨ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ।”
23 God understands its way, and he knows its location.
੨੩ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ,
24 For he beholds the limits of the world, and he looks upon all things that are under heaven.
੨੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
25 He created a counterweight for the winds, and he suspended the waters to measure them.
੨੫ਜਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਹਵਾ ਲਈ ਵਜ਼ਨ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਣਿਆ,
26 At that time, he gave a law to the rain and a path to the resounding storms.
੨੬ਜਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਲਈ ਬਿਧੀ ਬਣਾਈ, ਅਤੇ ਗਰਜਦੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ,
27 Then he saw and explained it, and he made ready and examined it.
੨੭ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੋਜਿਆ,
28 And he said to man, “Behold the fear of the Lord. Such is wisdom. And to withdraw from evil, this is understanding.”
੨੮ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ, ਉਹੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਹੈ!”
