< Job 27 >

1 Job also added to this, using figures of speech, and he said:
Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú Jobu sì tún sọkún ọ̀rọ̀ òwe rẹ̀, ó sì wí pé,
2 As God lives, who has taken away my judgment, and the Almighty, who has led my soul to bitterness,
“Bí Ọlọ́run ti ń bẹ, ẹni tí ó gba ìdájọ́ mi lọ, àti Olódùmarè tí ó bà mi ní ọkàn jẹ́,
3 as long as my breath remains in me and the breath of God remains in my nostrils,
níwọ́n ìgbà tí ẹ̀mí mi ń bẹ nínú mi, àti tí ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run ń bẹ nínú ihò imú mi.
4 my lips will not speak iniquity, nor will my tongue devise lies.
Ètè mi kì yóò sọ̀rọ̀ èké, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ahọ́n mi kì yóò sọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀tàn.
5 Far be it from me that I should judge you to be right, for, until I expire, I will not withdraw from my innocence.
Kí a má rí i pé èmi ń dá yín láre; títí èmi ó fi kú, èmi kì yóò ṣí ìwà òtítọ́ mi kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi.
6 I will not forsake my justification, which I have just begun to grasp, for my heart does not find blame for me in my whole life.
Òdodo mi ni èmi dìímú ṣinṣin, èmi kì yóò sì jọ̀wọ́ rẹ̀ lọ́wọ́; àyà mi kì yóò sì gan ọjọ́ kan nínú ọjọ́ ayé mi.
7 Let the impious be as my enemy, and the sinful, as my adversary.
“Kí ọ̀tá mi kí ó dàbí ènìyàn búburú, àti ẹni tí ń dìde sí mi kí ó dàbí ẹni aláìṣòdodo.
8 For what hope is there for the hypocrite, if he greedily plunders and God does not free his soul?
Nítorí kí ni ìrètí àgàbàgebè, nígbà tí Ọlọ́run bá ké ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ kúrò, nígbà tí ó sì fà á jáde?
9 Will God pay attention to his cry, when anguish overcomes him?
Ọlọ́run yóò ha gbọ́ àdúrà rẹ̀, nígbà tí ìpọ́njú bá dé sí i?
10 Or will he take delight in the Almighty and call upon God at all times?
Òun ha le ní inú dídùn sí Olódùmarè? Òun ha lé máa ké pe Ọlọ́run nígbà gbogbo?
11 I will teach you through the hand of God, what the Almighty holds, and I will not conceal it.
“Èmi ó kọ́ yín ní ẹ̀kọ́ ní ti ọwọ́ Ọlọ́run: ọ̀nà tí ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ Olódùmarè ni èmi kì yóò fi pamọ́.
12 Behold, you know all this, and so why do you speak vain things without a reason?
Kíyèsi i, gbogbo yín ni ó ti rí i; kín ni ìdí ọ̀rọ̀ asán yín?
13 This is the portion of the impious man with God, and the inheritance of the violent, which they will receive from the Almighty.
“Ẹ̀yin ni ìpín ènìyàn búburú lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti ogún àwọn aninilára, tí wọ́n ó gbà lọ́wọ́ Olódùmarè.
14 If his sons should happen to increase, they will be for the sword, and his grandsons will not be satisfied with bread.
Bí àwọn ọmọ rẹ bá di púpọ̀, fún idà ni; àwọn ọmọ ọmọ rẹ̀ kì yóò yó fún oúnjẹ.
15 Whatever will remain of him will be buried in the ruins, and his widows will not weep.
Àwọn tí ó kù nínú tirẹ̀ ni a ó sìnkú nínú àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn: àwọn opó rẹ̀ kì yóò sì sọkún fún wọn.
16 If he will amass silver as if it were dirt and fabricate garments as if they were clay,
Bí ó tilẹ̀ kó fàdákà jọ bí erùpẹ̀, tí ó sì dá aṣọ jọ bí amọ̀;
17 then yes, he will gather, but the just will be clothed with it and the innocent will divide the silver.
àwọn ohun tí ó tò jọ àwọn olóòtítọ́ ni yóò lò ó; àwọn aláìṣẹ̀ ni yóò sì pín fàdákà rẹ̀.
18 He has built his house like a moth, and he has made a makeshift shelter like a sentry.
Òun kọ́ ilé rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí kòkòrò aṣọ, àti bí ahéré tí olùṣọ́ kọ́.
19 When he falls asleep, the rich man will leave him with nothing; he will open his eyes and find nothing.
Ọlọ́rọ̀ yóò dùbúlẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n òun kì yóò túnṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ mọ́, nígbà tí ó bá la ojú rẹ̀, gbogbo rẹ̀ a lọ.
20 Destitution will surround him like water; a storm will overwhelm him in the night.
Ẹ̀rù ńlá bà á bí omi ṣíṣàn; ẹ̀fúùfù ńlá jí gbé lọ ní òru.
21 A burning wind will pick him up and carry him away, and, like a whirlwind, it will rush him from his place.
Ẹ̀fúùfù ìlà-oòrùn gbé e lọ, òun sì lọ; àti bí ìjì ńlá ó sì fà á kúrò ní ipò rẹ̀.
22 And it will hurl over him and will not spare him; fleeing from its power, he will go into exile.
Nítorí pé Olódùmarè yóò kọlù ú, kì yóò sì dá sí; òun ìbá yọ̀ láti sá kúrò ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.
23 He will clasp his hands over himself, and he will hiss at himself, while considering his situation.
Àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì ṣápẹ́ sí i lórí, wọn yóò sì ṣe síọ̀ sí i kúrò ní ipò rẹ̀.”
