Jeremiah 33
1 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still confined to the atrium of the prison, saying:
எரேமியா இன்னும் காவற்கூடத்தின் முற்றத்திலேயே சிறைப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, இரண்டாம் முறையும் யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு வந்தது:
2 “Thus says the Lord, who will prepare, and form, and accomplish it; the Lord is his name.
பூமியைப் படைத்து அதை உருவாக்கி நிறுத்தியவர் யெகோவா. யெகோவா என்பது அவரது பெயர். அவர் கூறுவது இதுவே:
3 Cry out to me and I will heed you. And I will announce to you great things, things that are certain, though you do not know them.
நீ என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடு; நான் உனக்குப் பதிலளிப்பேன். நீ அறியாததும், உன்னால் ஆராய்ந்து அறிய முடியாததுமான பெரிய காரியங்களையும் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லித்தருவேன்.
4 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to the houses of this city, and to the houses of the king of Judah, which have been destroyed, and to the fortifications, and to the sword
இப்பட்டணத்திலுள்ள வீடுகளைக் குறித்தும், யூதாவின் அரண்மனைகளைக் குறித்தும் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா கூறுவதாவது: இவற்றை நீங்கள் பாபிலோனியருடன் நடக்கும் சண்டையில் அவர்களுடைய வாளுக்கும், முற்றுகைக் கோட்டைகளுக்கும் எதிராகப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்காக உடைத்தீர்கள்.
5 of those who have arrived, so that they may fight with the Chaldeans, and so that they may have their fill of the dead bodies of the men whom I have struck down in my fury and in my indignation, concealing my face from this city, because of all their wickedness:
பாபிலோனியரோ உள்ளே வருவார்கள். இந்த வீடுகளும், அரச அரண்மனைகளும் இறந்துபோன மனித உடல்களினால் நிரப்பப்படும். அவர்களை என்னுடைய கோபத்தினாலும், கடுங்கோபத்தினாலும் நானே கொல்லுவேன். இப்பட்டணத்தின் எல்லாக் கொடுமைகளினிமித்தம் நான் என் முகத்தை அதைவிட்டு மறைத்துக்கொள்வேன்.
6 Behold, I will lead over them scars and health, and I will cure them. And I will reveal to them an invocation of peace and truth.
ஆயினும், நான் இப்பட்டணத்திற்குச் சுகத்தையும், ஆரோக்கியத்தையும் கொடுக்கும் காலம் வரும். என்னுடைய மக்களை நான் குணப்படுத்தி, அவர்கள் நிறைவான சமாதானத்தையும், சத்தியத்தையும் அனுபவித்து மகிழும்படி செய்வேன்.
7 And I will convert the turning away of Judah and the turning away of Jerusalem. And I will build them up, just as from the beginning.
நான் யூதாவையும், இஸ்ரயேலையும் சிறையிருப்பில் இருந்து மீட்டு, அவர்கள் முன்பிருந்த நிலைக்கு அவர்களைத் திரும்பவும் கட்டி எழுப்புவேன்.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me. And I will forgive all their iniquities, by which they have offended against me and have despised me.
அவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாக செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்களைத் தூய்மையாக்குவேன். அவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்த எல்லா அக்கிரமங்களையும் பாவங்களையும் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பேன்.
9 And this will be for me: a name, and a joy, and a praise, and an exultation, among all the nations of the earth who will hear about all the good things that I will accomplish for them. And they will be afraid and troubled over all these good things, and over all the peace, that I will accomplish for them.
நான் இப்பட்டணத்திற்குச் செய்த எல்லா நற்செயல்களையும் பூமியின் எல்லா தேசத்தார்களும் கேட்கும்போது, இந்தப் பட்டணம் எனக்குப் புகழையும், மகிழ்ச்சியையும், துதியையும், மகிமையையும் கொண்டுவரும். நான் அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்குக் கொடுக்கும் நிறைவான செல்வத்தையும், சமாதானத்தையும் கண்டு அவர்கள் பிரமித்து நடுங்குவார்கள்.
10 Thus says the Lord: Still shall there be heard in this place, (which you say is desolate, because there is neither man nor beast, ) and in the cities of Judah and outside of Jerusalem, (which are desolate, without man, and without an inhabitant and without cattle, )
யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: மக்கள் இந்த இடத்தைக் குறித்து, இது மனிதரோ, மிருகங்களோ குடியிராத பாழிடம் என்பார்கள். அப்படியிருந்தும் மனிதரோ மிருகங்களோ குடியிராமல் பாழாய் கிடக்கின்ற, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும்,
11 the voice of gladness and the voice of rejoicing, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: ‘Confess to the Lord of hosts! For the Lord is good! For his mercy is eternal!’ and the voice of those fulfilling their vows in the house of the Lord. For I will lead back the turning away of the land, just as from the beginning, says the Lord.”
சந்தோஷத்தின் சத்தமும், மகிழ்ச்சியின் சத்தமும், மணமகளின் குரலும், மணமகனின் குரலும் கேட்கும். அத்துடன், யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்கு நன்றிக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவருபவர்களின் குரல்களும் கேட்கும்: “சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்; யெகோவா நல்லவர்; அவருடைய அன்பு என்றும் நிலைத்து நிற்கும்” என்று சொல்வார்கள். நான், அவர்களுடைய நாட்டிற்கு முன்பு இருந்ததுபோல் செல்வத்தையெல்லாம் திரும்பவும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று யெகோவா கூறுகிறார்.
12 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Still shall there be in this place, (which is desolate without man and without beast, ) and in all of its cities: a habitation for the shepherds giving rest to their flocks.
சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: இந்த இடம் மனிதர்களோ, மிருகங்களோ இல்லாமல் பாழடைந்திருக்கும். ஆயினும் இதைச் சேர்ந்த எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும் மீண்டும் தங்கள் மந்தையை மேய்ப்பதற்கான மேய்ச்சலிடங்கள் மேய்ப்பர்களுக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கும்.
13 For even in the cities on the mountains, and in the cities on the plains, and in the cities that are toward the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and all around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, still shall the flocks travel by the hand of him who numbers them, says the Lord.
மேற்கு மலைச்சரிவிலுள்ள பட்டணங்களிலும், நெகேவ் பிரதேசத்திலுள்ள பட்டணங்களிலும், பென்யமீன் பிரதேசத்திலும், எருசலேமைச் சுற்றியுள்ள கிராமங்களிலும், யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும், ஆட்டுமந்தைகள் மீண்டும் தங்களைக் கணக்கெடுப்பவனின் கைக்குள்ளாகக் கடந்துவரும் என்று யெகோவா கூறுகிறார்.
14 Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the good word that I have spoken to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்திற்கும், யூதா குடும்பத்திற்கும் நான் கொடுத்த கிருபையான வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றும் நாட்கள் வருகின்றன என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.
15 In those days and at that time, I will cause the seedling of justice to spring up from David, and he will accomplish judgment and justice upon the earth.
“‘அந்த நாட்களிலும், அக்காலத்திலும் தாவீதின் சந்ததியிலிருந்து ஒரு நேர்மையான கிளை முளைக்கும்படி செய்வேன். அவர் நாட்டில் நீதியானதையும், நியாயமானதையும் செய்வார்.
16 In those days, Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: ‘The Lord, our Just One.’
அந்நாட்களில் யூதா காப்பாற்றப்படும். எருசலேம் பாதுகாப்புடன் வாழும். அது யெகோவாவே நமது நேர்மை என்ற பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படும்.’
17 For thus says the Lord: There shall not cease to be a man from David sitting upon the throne of the house of Israel.
ஏனெனில் யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: ‘இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தின் அரியணையில் இருக்க தாவீதுக்கு ஒருவனாவது இல்லாமல் போவதில்லை.
18 And there shall not cease to be a man from the priests and from the Levites before my face, who offers holocausts, and burns sacrifices, and kills victims, for days without end.”
லேவியரான ஆசாரியர்களில் எனக்கு முன்பாக நின்று தகன காணிக்கைகளையும், தானிய காணிக்கைகளையும், மற்ற பலிகளையும் தொடர்ந்து செலுத்துவதற்கு ஒருவனாவது இல்லாமல் போவதும் இல்லை’” என்கிறார்.
19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:
யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு வந்தது:
20 “Thus says the Lord: If my covenant with the day is able to be nullified, or my covenant with the night, such that there would be no day and no night in their time,
யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: “பகலும் இரவும் அவற்றிற்கென குறிக்கப்பட்ட காலத்தில் இனிமேல் வராதபடிக்கு, நான் அவைகளுடன் செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை உங்களால் உடைக்க முடியுமானால்,
21 then, too, my covenant with David, my servant, may be nullified, such that he would not have a son who reigns upon his throne, with both the Levites and the priests as my ministers.
அப்பொழுது என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதுடனும், எனக்கு முன்பாக ஊழியம் செய்யும் லேவிய ஆசாரியருடனும் நான் செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையையும் உடைக்க முடியும். தாவீதுக்கும் தன் அரியணையில் இருந்து ஆட்சிசெய்ய ஒரு சந்ததி இல்லாது போகும்.
22 Just as the stars of heaven are not able to be numbered, and the sand of the sea is not able to be measured, so will I multiply the offspring of David, my servant, and the Levites, my ministers.”
நான் என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதின் வம்சத்தையும், எனக்கு முன்பாக ஊழியம் செய்கிற லேவியரையும் வானத்திலுள்ள எண்ணமுடியாத நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலவும், கடற்கரையின் அளவற்ற மணலைப்போலவும் பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்கிறார்” என்றான்.
23 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:
யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு வந்தது:
24 “Have you not seen what this people has spoken? They say: ‘The two families which the Lord had chosen have been rejected.’ And so they have despised my people, as if they were no longer a nation in their sight.
“‘யெகோவா தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இரு அரசுகளையும் நிராகரித்துவிட்டார் என்று இந்த மக்கள் சொல்வதை நீ கவனிக்கவில்லையோ’? ஆகவே அவர்கள் என் மக்களை அவமதித்து, அவர்களை ஒரு நாடாக எண்ணாதிருக்கிறார்கள்.
25 Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with the day and the night, and my laws over heaven and earth,
யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: ‘பகலோடும், இரவோடும் நான் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும், வானத்திற்கும், பூமிக்கும் நான் விதித்த சட்டங்களையும் நான் நிலை நிறுத்தாமல் இருப்பேனானால்,
26 then truly I will also cast aside the offspring of Jacob, and of David, my servant, so that I do not take up any of his offspring to be leaders over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will lead back their turning away, and I will take pity on them.”
யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தையும், என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதையும் நான் நிராகரிப்பேன். ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களின் சந்ததிகளை அரசாளுவதற்கு, தாவீதினுடைய மகன்களில் ஒருவனையும் நான் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவும் மாட்டேன். ஆனால் நானோ அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்கள் யாவற்றையும் திரும்பக் கொடுத்து, அவர்களுக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டுவேன்’ என்கிறார்” என்றான்.
