Jeremiah 22
1 Thus says the Lord: “Descend to the house of the king of Judah, and there you shall speak this word.
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Lakaw ngadto sa balay sa hari sa Juda, ug isulti didto kining pulonga,
2 And you shall say: Listen to the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, who sits upon the throne of David: you and your servants, and your people, who enter through these gates.
Ug umingon ka: Pamatii ang pulong ni Jehova, Oh hari sa Juda, nga nagalingkod sa trono ni David, ikaw, ug ang imong mga alagad, ug ang imong katawohan nga mosulod niining mga ganghaana.
3 Thus says the Lord: Exercise judgment and justice, and free anyone who is oppressed by violence from the hand of a false accuser. And do not be willing to sadden the new arrival, or the orphan, or the widow, nor should you burden them unfairly. And you shall not shed innocent blood in this place.
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tumana ninyo ang justicia ug ang pagkamatarung, ug luwasa ang gitulis gikan sa kamot sa madaugdaugon: ug ayaw pagbuhat ug kasaypanan, ayaw pagpanlupig sa lumalangyaw, sa ilo, ni sa balo nga babaye, ni magpaagay ug dugo nga inocente niining dapita.
4 For if you will indeed accomplish this word, then there will enter through the gates of this house kings from the stock of David, sitting on his throne, and riding on chariots and on horses: they, and their servants, and their people.
Kay kong magabuhat gayud kamo niining butanga, nan aduna unyay mosulod sa mga ganghaan niining balaya, mga hari nga managlingkod sa trono ni David, nga managtongtong sa mga carro ug sa mga kabayo, siya, ug ang iyang mga alagad ug ang iyang katawohan.
5 But if you will not listen to these words, I swear by myself, says the Lord, that this house will be in desolation.
Apan kong kamo dili managpatalinghug niining pulonga, ako manumpa pinaagi sa akong kaugalingon, naga-ingon si Jehova, nga kining balaya mahimong biniyaan.
6 For thus says the Lord about the house of the king of Judah: You are to me like Gilead, the head of Lebanon. Certainly, I will make you desolate, with uninhabitable cities.
Kay mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova mahitungod sa balay sa hari sa Juda: Ikaw mao ang Galaad alang kanako, ug ang pangulo sa Libano; bisan pa niana himoon ko ikaw nga kamingawan, ug mga ciudad nga walay magapuyo.
7 And I will sanctify over you the destroying man and his weapons. And they will cut down your select cedars and throw them violently into the fire.
Ug ako magaandam ug mga maglalaglag batok kanimo, ang tagsatagsa uban ang iyang mga hinagiban; ug sila magaputol sa pinili mong mga cedro, ug isalibay sila ngadto sa kalayo.
8 And many nations will pass through this city. And each one will say to his neighbor: ‘Why has the Lord acted in this way toward this great city?’
Ug daghang mga nasud nga moagi niining ciudara, ug moingon sila ang tagsatagsa kanila sa iyang isigkatawo: Nganong ginabuhat ang ingon ni Jehova niining dakung ciudad?
9 And they will answer: ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord their God, and they adored strange gods and served them.’
Unya sila motubag: Tungod kay sila mingbiya sa tugon ni Jehova nga ilang Dios, ug nanagsimba sa laing mga dios, ug nanag-alagad kanila.
10 You should not choose to weep for the dead, nor should you mourn over them with tears. Lament for him who is departing, for he will return no more, nor will he see his native land again.
Ayaw kamo paghilak tungod sa namatay, ni magbakho tungod kaniya; hinonoa maghilak ka sa hilabihan gayud tungod kaniya nga migikan; kay siya dili na mobalik, ni makakita pa pag-usab sa yuta niyang natawohan.
11 For thus says the Lord to Shallum, the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, who reigned in place of his father, who has departed from this place: He will not return here again.
Kay mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova mahatungod kang Sallum, ang anak nga lalake ni Josias, hari sa Juda, nga naghari ilis ni Josias nga iyang amahan, ug nga migula niining dapita: siya dili na mobalik didto pag-usab;
12 Instead, he will die in the place to which I have transferred him, and he will not see this land anymore.
Apan sa dapit diin siya dad-a nga binihag, didto pagapatyon siya, ug siya dili na makakita pag-usab niining yutaa.
13 Woe to one who builds his house with injustice and his upper rooms without judgment, who oppresses his friend without cause and does not pay him his wages.
Alaut kadtong nagatukod sa iyang balay pinaagi sa dili-pagkamatarung, ug ang iyang mga lawak pinaagi sa dili justicia; nga naggamit sa pag-alagad sa iyang isigkatawo sa walay mga suhol, ug dili mohatag kaniya sa iyang bayad;
14 And he says: ‘I will build a broad house for myself, with spacious upper rooms.’ He makes windows for himself, and he builds the roof out of cedar, and he paints it with red ocher.
Nga nagaingon: Ako magabuhat ug halapad nga balay ug hamugaway nga mga lawak, ug magabutang ug mga tamboanan, ug pagakisamahan sa cedro, ug pagapintalan sa mapula.
15 Will you reign because you compare yourself to the cedar? Did your father not eat and drink, and act with judgment and justice, so that it would be well with him?
Magahari ka ba tungod kay ikaw nanlimbasog sa paglabaw pinaagi sa cedro? Wala ba an imong amahan magkaon ug mag-inum, ug magbuhat ug justicia, ug pagkamatarung? unya maayo kadto kaniya.
16 He judged the case of the poor and the indigent for their good. Was this not because he knew me, says the Lord?
Siya naghukom sa katungod sa mga kabus ug hangul; unya maayo kadto kaniya: Dili ba kini maoy pag-ila kanako? nagaingon si Jehova.
17 Yet truly, your eyes and your heart are toward avarice and the shedding of innocent blood, and toward false accusations and the pursuit of evil deeds.
Apan ang imong mga mata ug ang imong kasingkasing dili alang sa unsa kondili sa kaibog, ug alang sa pagpaagay sa dugo nga inocente, ug alang sa pagdaugdaug ug sa pagpanlupig, aron buhaton kini.
18 Because of this, thus says the Lord toward Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah: They will not mourn for him by saying, ‘Alas,’ to a brother, or, ‘Alas,’ to a sister. They will not make a noise for him and say, ‘Alas,’ to a master, or, ‘Alas,’ to a nobleman.
Busa mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova mahatungod kang Joacim ang anak nga lalake ni Josias, hari sa Juda: Sila dili managbakho tungod kaniya, nga manag-ingon: Ah akong igsoon nga lalake! kun Ah! igsoon nga babaye! Sila dili managbakho tungod kaniya, nga magaingon: Ah, ginoo! kun Ah! ang iyang himaya!
19 He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, having rotted and been thrown out of the gates of Jerusalem.
Siya igalubong ingon sa paglubong sa usa ka asno, ginaguyod ug ginasalibay sa gawas sa ganghaan sa Jerusalem.
20 Ascend to Lebanon and cry out! And utter your voice in Bashan, and cry out to those passing by. For all your lovers have been crushed.
Tumungas ka ngadto sa Libano, ug suminggit; ug ipatugbaw ang imong tingog sa Basan, ug suminggit ka gikan sa Abarim: kay ang tanan mong mga hinigugma nangalaglag.
21 I spoke to you in your abundance, and you said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, for you have not listened to my voice.
Misulti ako kanimo sa imong pagkaadunahan; apan ikaw nagaingon: ako dili magpatalinghug. Kini mao ang imong batasan gikan sa imong pagkabatan-on, nga wala ka magsugot sa akong tingog.
22 The wind will feed all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. And then you will be confounded, and you will be ashamed of all your wickedness.
Ang hangin magapakaon sa tanan mong mga magbalantay, ug ang imong mga hinigugma pagabihagon: nan sa pagkatinuod ikaw pakaulawan ug pagalibugon tungod sa tanan nimong kadautan.
23 You who sit in Lebanon, and who nest in the cedars, in what way did you mourn when suffering came to you, like the suffering of a woman giving birth?
Oh pumoluyo sa Libano nga nagabuhat sa imong salag diha sa mga cedro, pagkamakalolooy mo gayud sa diha nga modangat na ang mga kasakit kanimo, ang kasakit nga sama sa usa ka babaye nga magaanak!
24 As I live, says the Lord, if Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, were a ring on my right hand, I would remove him from there.
Ingon nga ako buhi, nagaingon si Jehova, bisan si Conias ang anak nga lalake ni Joacim nga hari sa Juda maoy sing-sing nga patik nga ania sa akong toong kamot, bisan pa niana pagalukahon ko ikaw gikan diha;
25 And I will deliver you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of those whose face you dread, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Ug ihatag ko ikaw ngadto sa kamot niadtong nanagpangita sa imong kinabuhi, ug ngadto sa kamot niadtong imong ginakahadlokan, bisan pa ngadto sa kamot ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia, ug ngadto sa kamot sa mga Caldeahanon.
26 And I will send you, and your mother who conceived you, into a foreign land, in which you were not born, and there you shall die.
Ug hinginlan ko ikaw, ug ang imong inahan nga nanganak kanimo, ngadto sa laing yuta, diin kamo wala mangatawo; ug didto kamo mangamatay.
27 And to the land about which they lift up their mind, thinking to return there, they shall not return.
Apan sa yuta nga gipangandoy sa ilang kalag aron sa pagbalik, didto sila dili makabalik.
28 Is this man, Jeconiah, a broken earthenware vessel? Is he a vessel which is entirely unpleasing? Why have they been cast out, he and his offspring, cast out even into a land that they have not known?
Kining tawohana nga si Conias mao ba ang usa ka tinamay ug nabuak nga sudlanan? usa ba siya ka sudlanan nga wala ikalipay? ngano man nga gihinginlan sila, siya ug ang iyang kaliwat, ug ginasalibay ngadto sa yuta nga wala nila hiilhi?
29 O earth, O earth, O earth! Listen to the word of the Lord!
Oh yuta, yuta, yuta, pamati sa pulong ni Jehova.
30 Thus says the Lord: Write: this man is barren; he is a man who will not prosper in his days. For there will not be a man from among his offspring who will sit upon the throne of David, or have authority in Judah, anymore.”
Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Isulat mo kining tawohana nga walay anak, usa ka tawo nga dili mouswag sa iyang mga adlaw; kay wala nay mausa ka tawo sa iyang kaliwat nga mouswag, nga magalingkod sa trono ni David, ug magamando pag-usab sa Juda.
