Isaiah 35
1 The desolate and impassable land will rejoice, and the place of solitude will exult, and it will flourish like the lily.
Le désert et le lieu aride se réjouiront, et le lieu solitaire s'égayera, et fleurira comme une rose.
2 It will spring up and blossom, and it will exult with rejoicing and praising. The glory of Lebanon has been given to it, with the beauty of Carmel and Sharon. These will see the glory of the Lord and the beauty of our God.
Il fleurira abondamment, et s'égayera, s'égayant même et chantant en triomphe. La gloire du Liban lui est donnée, avec la magnificence de Carmel et de Saron, ils verront la gloire de l'Eternel, et la magnificence de notre Dieu.
3 Strengthen the lax hands, and confirm the weak knees!
Renforcez les mains lâches, et fortifiez les genoux tremblants.
4 Say to the fainthearted: “Take courage and fear not! Behold, your God will bring the vindication of retribution. God himself will arrive to save you.”
Dites à ceux qui ont le cœur troublé; prenez courage, et ne craignez plus; voici votre Dieu; la vengeance viendra, la rétribution de Dieu; il viendra lui-même, et vous délivrera.
5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be cleared.
Alors les yeux des aveugles seront ouverts, et les oreilles des sourds seront débouchées.
6 Then the disabled will leap like a buck, and the tongue of the mute will be untied. For the waters have burst forth in the desert, and torrents in solitary places.
Alors le boiteux sautera comme un cerf, et la langue du muet chantera en triomphe; car des eaux sourdront au désert; et des torrents, au lieu solitaire.
7 And the land that was dry will have a pond, and the thirsty land will have fountains of water. In the hollows where the serpents lived before, there will rise up the greenery of reed and bulrush.
Et les lieux qui étaient secs, deviendront des étangs, et la terre altérée [deviendra] des sources d'eaux, et dans les repaires des dragons où ils faisaient leur gîte, il y aura un parvis à roseaux et à joncs.
8 And there shall be a path and a road in that place. And it will be called the Holy Way. The defiled will not pass through it. For this will be an upright path for you, so much so that the foolish will not wander along it.
Et il y aura là un sentier et un chemin, qui sera appelé le chemin de sainteté; celui qui est souillé n'y passera point, mais il sera pour ceux-là; celui qui va son chemin, et les fous, ne s'y égareront point.
9 There will be no lions in that place, and harmful wild animals will neither climb up to it, nor be found there. Only those who have been freed will walk in that place.
Là il n'y aura point de lion, et aucune de ces bêtes qui ravissent les autres, n'y montera point, et ne s'y trouvera point; mais les rachetés y marcheront.
10 And the redeemed of the Lord will be converted, and they will return to Zion with praising. And everlasting joy will be upon their heads. They will obtain gladness and rejoicing. For pain and sorrow will flee away.
Ceux donc desquels l'Eternel aura payé la rançon, retourneront, et viendront en Sion avec chant de triomphe, et une joie éternelle sera sur leur tête; ils obtiendront la joie et l'allégresse; la douleur et le gémissement s'enfuiront.
