< Isaiah 3 >
1 For behold, the sovereign Lord of hosts will take away, from Jerusalem and from Judah, the powerful and the strong: all the strength from bread, and all the strength from water;
Caempuei Boeipa Yahovah loh Jerusalem neh Judah lamkah tukcawt longkhawn neh conghol khaw, tukcawt buh boeih khaw, tukcawt longkhawn la aka om tui boeih khaw,
2 the strong man, and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the seer and the elder;
Hlangrhalh neh caemtloek hlang khaw, laitloek neh tonghma khaw, hlang aka bi neh patong khaw,
3 the leader over fifty and the honorable in appearance; and the counselor, and the wise among builders, and the skillful in mystical speech.
sawmnga kah mangpa neh maelhmai rhim aka om khaw, olrhoep neh kutthai hlangcueih khaw, calthai aka yakming khaw a khoe pah coeng ke.
4 And I will provide children as their leaders, and the effeminate will rule over them.
Cadong rhoek te amih kah mangpa la ka khueh pa vetih, camoe hnatuem loh amih a taem a rhai uh ni.
5 And the people will rush, man against man, and each one against his neighbor. The child shall rebel against the elder, and the ignoble against the noble.
Pilnam te khat phoeiah khat, hlang loh amah hui taengah a tueihno ni. Camoe loh patong a hnaep vetih rhaidaeng la thangpom uh ni.
6 For a man will apprehend his brother, from the household of his own father, saying: “The vestment is yours. Be our leader, but let this ruin be under your hand.”
Hlang loh a napa imkhui kah a manuca te a tuuk vetih, “Na himbai nen khaw, mamih ham rhalboei la om mai. Hekah a rhok a rhap he khaw namah kut ah ni a om coeng,” a ti uh ni.
7 In that day, he will respond by saying: “I am not a healer, and there is no bread or vestment in my house. Do not choose to appoint me as a leader of the people.”
Tekah khohnin ah tah huel uh vetih, “Kai aka khit a om moenih, ka im ah buh khaw om pawh, himbai khaw om pawh, pilnam rhalboei la kai ng'khueh uh boeh,” a ti ni.
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah has fallen, because their words and their plans are against the Lord, in order to provoke the eyes of his majesty.
Jerusalem neh Judah te paloe coeng tih a ol dongah cungku coeng. A khoboe loh a thangpomnah kah mikhmuh ah BOEIPA a koek coeng.
9 The acknowledgement of their countenance is their response. For they have proclaimed their own sin, like Sodom; and they have not concealed it. Woe to their souls! For evils are being repaid to them.
Amih maelhmai kah a hmaikhueh loh amamih te a doo. A tholh te Sodom bangla a doek tih phah pawh. Amih te yoethae neh a thuung thil dongah amih kah hinglu ngawn tah anunae.
10 Tell the just man that it is well, for he shall eat from the fruit from his own plans.
Amamih kah khoboe kah a thaih te a caak uh ham coeng dongah then coeng tila aka dueng taengah thui uh.
11 Woe to the impious man immersed in evil! For retribution will be given to him from his own hands.
Anunae halang kah thaehuet aih ke, a kut neh a tiing la amah taengah a saii pah ni.
12 As for my people, their oppressors have despoiled them, and women have ruled over them. My people, who call you blessed, the same are deceiving you and disrupting the path of your steps.
Ka pilnam te aka tueihno loh a poelyoe uh tih huta rhoek loh anih te a ngol thiluh. Ka pilnam aw, nang aka uem khaw kho a hmang uh coeng tih na longpuei caehlong a hmaang uh.
13 The Lord stands for judgment, and he stands to judge the people.
BOEIPA loh toe hamla pai coeng tih, Pilnam taengah laithui hamla pai coeng.
14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their leaders. For you have been devouring the vineyard, and the plunder from the poor is in your house.

15 Why do you wear down my people, and grind up the faces of the poor, says the Lord, the God of hosts?
Ba aih lae nang tloe tah? Ba aih lae nangmih tloe tah? Ka pilnam te na phop uh tih mangdaeng rhoek te a maelhmai ah na neet uh. Ka Caempuei Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni he.
16 And the Lord said: Because the daughters of Zion have been lifted up, and have walked with extended necks and winking eyes, because they have continued on, walking noisily and advancing with a pretentious stride,
BOEIPA loh, “Zion nu rhoek te a sang uh dongah a olrhong te a yueng a yueng uh tih cet. A mik kilkoel neh pongpa uh tih cidoep cidoep cet uh. A kho dongkah hling cai mai neh,” a ti.

Ka Boeipa loh Zion nu kah a luki te a vinhna sak vetih BOEIPA loh amih kah luhuem te a tlai sak ni.
18 In that day, the Lord will take away their decorative shoes,

21 and the rings, and the jewels hanging on their foreheads,

22 and the continual changes in appearance, and the short skirts, and the fine linens and embroidered cloths,

23 and the mirrors, and scarves, and ribbons, and their sparse clothing.
hmaidan khaw, hni khaw, sammuei khaw, lumuek hni khaw a khoe ni.
24 And in place of a sweet fragrance, there will be stench. And in place of a belt, there will be a rope. And in place of stylish hair, there will be baldness. And in place of a blouse, there will be haircloth.
Botui yueng la a bo aka hiik om ni, lamko yueng la hnithae, samtoel yueng la lungawng, hnithen yueng la tlamhni hnimuen, sakthen yueng la thiling te om ni.
25 Likewise, your most handsome men will fall by the sword, and your strong men will fall in battle.
Na hlang rhoek cunghang dongah, na thayung thamal khaw caemtloek dongah cungku uh ni.
26 And her gates will grieve and mourn. And she will sit on the ground, desolate.
