< Hosea 8 >

1 Let there be a trumpet in your throat, like an eagle over the house of the Lord, on behalf of those who have transgressed my covenant and violated my law.
“Puyotanyo ti trumpeta babaen kadagiti bibigyo. Umayen ti maysa nga agila iti balayko, a ni Yahweh. Mapaspasamak daytoy gapu ta sinalungasing dagiti tattao ti katulagak ken nagsukirda iti lintegko.
2 They will call on me: “O my God, we, Israel, know you.”
Immasugda kaniak, 'O Diosko, dakami a taga-Israel ket am-ammodaka.'
3 Israel has thrown away goodness; the enemy will overtake him.
Ngem linaksid ti Israel ti naimbag, ket kamatento isuna dagiti kabusor.
4 They have reigned, but not by me. Leaders have emerged, and I did not recognize them. Their silver and their gold, they have made into idols for themselves, so that they might cross over.
Nangisaadda kadagiti ari, ngem saan a babaen kaniak. Nangisaadda kadagiti prinsipe, ngem saanko nga ammo. Nagaramidda kadagiti didiosen para kadakuada babaen kadagiti pirak ken balitokda, ngem daytoy laeng ket pakadadaelanda.”
5 Your calf, Samaria, has been rejected. My fury has been enraged against them. How long will they be incapable of being cleansed?
Kuna dagiti profeta, “Imbellengna ti sinan-bakayo, Samaria.” Kuna ni Yahweh, “Umap-apuy ti pungtotko kadagitoy a tattao. Kasano pay kabayag nga agtalinaedda a narugit?
6 For it is itself also from Israel: a workman made it, and it is not God. For the calf of Samaria will be used for the webs of spiders.
Ta naggapu iti Israel daytoy a didiosen; inaramid daytoy ti agkitkitikit; saan a Dios daytoy! Maburakto ti sinan-baka ti Samaria.
7 For they will sow wind and reap a whirlwind. It does not have a firm stalk; the bud will yield no grain. But if it does yield, strangers will eat it.
Gapu ta angin ti immula dagiti tattao ket alipugpug ti apitenda. Awan iti dawa ti sitatakder a trigo; saanto nga agipaay daytoy iti arina. No agbagasdanto man, kanento daytoy dagiti ganggannaet.
8 Israel has been devoured. Now, among the nations, it has become like an unclean vessel.
Naalun-on ti Israel; ita addada kadagiti nasion a kasla maysa a banag nga awan iti serserbina.
9 For they have gone up to Assur, a wild ass alone by himself. Ephraim has given presents to his lovers.
Ta simmang-atda iti Asiria a kasla atap nga asno nga agmaymaysa. Nangtangdan ti Efraim kadagiti agayat para kenkuana.
10 But even when they will have brought the nations together for the sake of money, now I will assemble them. And they will rest for a little while from the burden of the king and the leaders.
Uray no nangtangdanda kadagiti agayat kadakuada kadagiti nasion, ummungek idan ita. Mangrugidanto a madadael gapu iti panangidadanes ti ari dagiti prinsipe.
11 For Ephraim multiplied altars to sin, and sanctuaries have become an offense for him.
Ta pinaadu ti Efraim dagiti altar a pagidatonan gapu iti basol, ngem nagbalinda ketdi nga altar a pagaramidan kadagiti basbasol.
12 I will write to him my intricate laws, which have been treated like strangers.
Maisuratko ti lintegko para kadakuada iti maminsangapulo a ribu a daras, ngem ibilangda daytoy a kas iti maysa a banag a karkarna kadakuada.
13 They will offer victims, they will immolate flesh and will eat, and the Lord will not accept them. For now he will remember their iniquity, and he will repay their sins: they will be turned back to Egypt.
No maipapan kadagiti pannakaidatag dagiti datonko, agidatonda iti karne ken kanenda daytoy, ngem Siak, a ni Yahweh saanko nga awaten dagitoy. Ita, lagipekto dagiti kinadakesda ket dusaekto dagiti basbasolda. Agsublidanto idiay Egipto.
14 And Israel has forgotten his Maker and has built shrines. And Judah has increased its fortified cities. And I will send fire upon his cities, and it will devour its structures.
Nalipatannakon ti Israel, ti Nangparsua kenkuana ken nangipatakder kadagiti palasio. Sinarikedkedan ti Juda dagiti adu a siudad, ngem mangiyegakto iti apuy kadagiti siudadna; dadaelento daytoy dagiti sarikedkedna.
