Hosea 11
1 Just as the morning passes, so has the king of Israel passed by. For Israel was a child and I loved him; and out of Egypt I called my son.
“இஸ்ரயேல் சிறுவனாக இருந்தபோதே, நான் அவனை நேசித்தேன்; எகிப்திலிருந்து நான் என் மகனை அழைத்தேன்.
2 They called them, and so they departed before their face. They offered victims to the Baals, and they sacrificed to graven images.
ஆனால், எவ்வளவு அதிகமாய் நான் அவர்களை அழைத்தேனோ, அவ்வளவு அதிகமாய் அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமானார்கள். அவர்கள் பாகால் தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பலியிட்டு, உருவச் சிலைகளுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டினார்கள்.
3 And I was like a foster father to Ephraim. I carried them in my arms. And they did not know that I healed them.
எப்பிராயீமைக் கைபிடித்து நடக்கக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தவர் நானே; ஆனாலும், அவர்களைப் பராமரித்தவர் நானே என்பதை அவர்கள் உணரவில்லை.
4 I will draw them with the cords of Adam, with the bands of love. And I will be to them like one who raises the yoke over their jaws. And I will reach down to him so that he may eat.
நான் அவர்களை அன்பின் பிணைப்பினாலும் மனித தயவின் கயிறுகளினாலும் வழிநடத்தினேன். ஒரு சிறு குழந்தையை கன்னத்தில் தூக்கும் ஒருவரைப்போல இருந்தேன், அவர்களுடைய கழுத்திலிருந்த நுகத்தை அகற்றினேன், அவர்களுக்குக் குனிந்து உணவூட்டினேன்.
5 He will not return to the land of Egypt, but Assur himself will be the king over him, because they were not willing to be converted.
“ஆனால் அவர்கள் மனந்திரும்ப மறுக்கிறார்கள். ஆகையால் அவர்கள் எகிப்திற்கு திரும்பிப் போகமாட்டார்களோ? அவர்கள்மேல் அசீரியா ஆளுகை செய்யாதோ?
6 The sword has begun in his cities, and it will consume his elect and devour their heads.
நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய தீமையான திட்டங்களினால் வாள் அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களுக்குள் பாய்ந்து, வாசல் கதவுகளின் தாழ்ப்பாள்களை முறித்துப்போட்டு, அவர்களை அழிக்கும்.
7 And my people will long for my return. But a yoke will be imposed on them together, which will not be taken away.
என் மக்கள் என்னைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகத் தீர்மானித்திருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் என்னை உன்னதமானவர் எனக் கூப்பிட்டாலும், அவர்களை எவ்விதத்திலும் உயர்த்தமாட்டேன்.
8 How will I provide for you, Ephraim; how will I protect you, Israel? How will I provide for you as for Adam; will I set you like Zeboiim? My heart has changed within me; together with my regret, it has been stirred up.
“ஆனாலும் எப்பிராயீமே, எப்படி நான் உன்னைக் கைவிடுவேன்? இஸ்ரயேலே, நான் உன்னை எப்படி ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்? நான் எப்படி உன்னை அத்மா பட்டணத்தைப்போல் அழிக்கமுடியும்? நான் எப்படி உன்னை செபோயீமைப்போல் ஆக்கமுடியும்? என் இருதயமோ எனக்குள் மாற்றமடைந்திருக்கிறது; என் கருணை பொங்குகிறது.
9 I will not act on the fury of my wrath. I will not turn back to utterly destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not man, the Divine in your midst, and I will not advance upon the city.
ஆகவே எனது கடுங்கோபத்தை செயல்படுத்தமாட்டேன்; நான் திரும்பி எப்பிராயீமை அழிக்கமாட்டேன். ஏனெனில் எப்படியிருந்தும் உங்கள் மத்தியில் வாழ்கின்ற பரிசுத்தரான நான் மனிதனல்ல; நான் இறைவன். எனவே நான் கடுங்கோபத்துடன் வரமாட்டேன்.
10 They will walk after the Lord; he will roar like a lion. For he himself will roar, and the sons of the sea will dread.
ஒருகாலத்தில் அவர்கள் யெகோவாவைப் பின்பற்றுவார்கள்; அவர் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் கர்ஜிப்பார். அவர் கர்ஜிக்கும்போது, அவருடைய பிள்ளைகள் மேற்குத் திசையிலிருந்து நடுக்கத்துடன் வருவார்கள்.
11 And they will fly like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove from the land of the Assyrians. And I will arrange them in their own houses, says the Lord.
எகிப்திலிருந்து பறவைகள் வருவதுபோலவும், அசீரியாவிலிருந்து புறாக்கள் வருவதுபோலவும் அவர்கள் நடுக்கத்துடன் வருவார்கள். நான் அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய வீடுகளில் குடியமர்த்துவேன்” என யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.
12 Ephraim has besieged me with denials, and the house of Israel with deceit. But Judah went down as a witness before God and the holy ones of faith.
எப்பிராயீமியர் பொய்களுடனும், இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பம் வஞ்சனையுடனும் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். யூதாவும் உண்மையுள்ள, பரிசுத்தரான இறைவனுக்கு எதிராக அடங்காமல் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறான்.
