Haggai 1
1 In the second year of king Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying:
၁ဒါရိမင်းကြီးနန်းစံနှစ်နှစ်၊ ဆဌမလတရက်နေ့ တွင်၊ ပရောဖက်ဟဂ္ဂဲအားဖြင့် ယုဒမြို့ဝန်၊ ရှာလသေလ သား ဇေရုဗဗေလနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း ယောဇဒက် သား ယောရှုဆီသို့ ထာဝရဘုရား၏နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် ရောက်လာ၍၊
2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: This people claims that the time has not yet arrived for building the house of the Lord.
၂ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အချိန်မရောက်သေး၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အိမ်တော်ကို တည်ဆောက်ရသော အချိန်မရောက်သေး ဟု၊ ဤလူများ ပြောဆိုကြသည်မှာ၊
3 But the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
၃ပရောဖက် ဟဂ္ဂဲအားဖြင့် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နှုတ် ကပတ်တော်ရောက်လာသည်ကား၊
4 Is it time for you to dwell in paneled houses, while this house is deserted?
၄အချင်းလူတို့၊ သင်တို့သည် အမိုးနှစ်ထပ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသော အိမ်၌ နေချိန်ရှိလျက်ပင်၊ အိမ်တော်ပျက် လျက် နေရမည်လော။
5 And now, thus says the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts upon your ways.
၅ယခုမှာ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကိုယ်ကျင့်သော အကျင့်တို့ ကို ဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။
6 You sowed much and have brought in little. You consumed and have not been satisfied. You drank and have not been inebriated. You covered yourselves and have not been warmed. And whoever gathered wages, has put them in a bag with holes.
၆သင်တို့သည် များစွာသော မျိုးစေ့ကို ကြဲသော် လည်း အသီးအနှံနည်းပါးရ၏။ စားရသော်လည်း ဝစွာ မစားရကြ။ သောက်သော်လည်း ဝစွာ မသောက်ရကြ။ အဝတ်ကို ဝတ်ရသော်လည်း နွေးစွာ မဝတ်ရကြ။ အလုပ် လုပ်၍ အခကို ခံရသော်လည်း မလုံသော အိတ်ထဲမှာ သိုထားရကြ၏။
7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts upon your ways.
၇ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကိုယ်အကျင့်တို့ကို ဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။
8 Ascend to the mountain, bring wood and build the house, and it shall be acceptable to me, and I shall be glorified, says the Lord.
၈တောင်ပေါ်သို့ တက်သွား၍ သစ်သားကို ဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီးလျှင် အိမ်တော်ကို ဆောက်ကြလော့။ ငါသည် လည်း အားရ၍ ငါ၏ဘုန်းသည် ထင်ရှားလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
9 You have looked for more, and behold, it became less, and you brought it home, and I blew it away. What is the cause of this, says the Lord of hosts? It is because my house is desolate, yet you have hurried, each one to his own house.
၉သင်တို့သည် များစွာရမည်ဟု မြော်လင့်သော် လည်း ရသောဥစ္စာခေါင်းပါးရ၏။ အိမ်သို့ ရောက်သော အခါ ငါမှုတ်လိုက်၏။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်နည်းဟု၊ ကောင်း ကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မေးတော်မူ၏။ ငါ့အိမ် သည် ပျက်လျက်ရှိသောကြောင့်၎င်း၊ သင်တို့သည် အသီး အသီး မိမိတို့အိမ်သို့ ပြေးသောကြောင့်၎င်း ဖြစ်သတည်း။
10 Because of this, the heavens over you have been prohibited from giving dew, and the earth has been prohibited from giving her sprouts.
၁၀ထိုကြောင့် သင်တို့အပေါ်မှာ မိုဃ်းခေါင်သဖြင့် နှင်းမကျရ။ မြေသည်လည်း အသီးအနှံကို မပေးရ။
11 And I called a drought over the land, and over the mountains, and over the wheat, and over the wine, and over the oil, and whatever the soil would bring forth, and over men, and over beasts of burden, and over all the labor of hands.
၁၁မြေပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ တောင်ပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ ဆန်စပါး၊ ချိုသောစပျစ်ရည်၊ ဆီအပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ မြေထဲကထွက်သမျှ အပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ လူသတ္တဝါတိရစ္ဆာန်အပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ လုပ် ဆောင်သမျှအပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ သွေ့ခြောက်ခြင်းဘေးကို ငါမှာ လိုက်လေပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
12 And Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people heeded the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, just as the Lord their God sent him to them. And the people were fearful before the face of the Lord.
၁၂ထိုအခါ ရှာလသေလသား ဇေရုဗဗေလနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း ယောဇဒက်သား ယောရှုမှစ၍ ကျန် ကြွင်းသော သူအပေါင်းတို့သည် မိမိတို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်ကို၎င်း၊ မိမိတို့ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားစေခိုင်းတော်မူသောပရောဖက်ဟဂ္ဂဲစကားကို ၎င်း နားထောင်သဖြင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ ကြောက်ရွံ့ကြ၏။
13 And Haggai, a messenger of the Lord among messengers of the Lord, spoke to the people, saying: the Lord says, “I am with you.”
၁၃ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားမှာထားတော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တမန်ဟဂ္ဂဲက၊ ငါသည် သင်တို့ နှင့်အတူရှိ၏ဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူကြောင်းကို လူများတို့အား ဆင့်ဆိုလေ၏။
14 And the Lord stirred the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the remainder of all the people. And they entered and performed work in the house of the Lord of hosts their God.
၁၄ထာဝရဘုရားသည်လည်း၊ ယုဒမြို့ဝန်၊ ရှာလ သေလသား ဇေရုဗဗေလနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း ယော ဇဒက်သား ယောရှုမှစ၍ ကျန်ကြွင်းသော သူအပေါင်းတို့ ကို နှိုးဆော်တော်မူသောအားဖြင့်၊
15 On the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of king Darius, they began.
၁၅ဒါရိမင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ်နှစ်၊ ဆဌမလနှစ်ဆယ် လေးရက်နေ့တွင်၊ သူတို့သည် လာ၍ မိမိတို့ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏အိမ်တော်၌ အလုပ်လုပ်ကြ၏။
