Haggai 2
1 And in the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
੧ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਕੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਹੱਜਈ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
2 Speak to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, the governor of Judah, and to Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remainder of the people, saying:
੨ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ, ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਮਹਾਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖ,
3 Who is left among you, who saw this house in its first glory? And how do you see it now? Is it not, in comparison to that, as nothing in your eyes?
੩“ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੌਣ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ? ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕੀ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?”
4 And now be strengthened, Zerubbabel, says the Lord. And be strengthened, Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And be strengthened, all people of the land, says the Lord of hosts. For I am with you, says the Lord of hosts.
੪ਪਰ ਹੇ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ, ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਮਹਾਂ ਜਾਜਕ, ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ! ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤਕੜੇ ਹੋਵੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਂ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
5 And act according to the word that I planted with you when you departed from the land of Egypt. And my Spirit will be in your midst. Do not be afraid.
੫ਉਸ ਨੇਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ, ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਡਰੋ ਨਾ!
6 For thus says the Lord of hosts: There is yet one brief time, and I will move heaven and earth, and the sea and the dry land.
੬ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਫੇਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼, ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ-ਥਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
7 And I will move all nations. And the Desired of all nations will arrive. And I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.
੭ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
8 Mine is the silver, and mine is the gold, says the Lord of hosts.
੮ਚਾਂਦੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਵੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
9 Great shall be the glory of this house, the last more than the first, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place, I will bestow peace, says the Lord of hosts.
੯ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
10 On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of king Darius, the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet, saying:
੧੦ਦਾਰਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਚੌਵੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੱਜਈ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਈ ਕਿ
11 Thus says the Lord of hosts: the priests question the law, saying:
੧੧ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛ
12 If a man will have carried sanctified flesh in the pocket of his garment, and the top of it touches his bread, or appetizer, or wine, or oil, or any food, shall it be sanctified? But the priests responded by saying, “No.”
੧੨ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੜਤੇ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਰੋਟੀ, ਦਾਲ, ਮੈਅ, ਤੇਲ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ, ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਨਹੀਂ।
13 And Haggai said, “If the polluted in soul will have touched any of all these things, shall it be contaminated?” And the priests responded and said, “It shall be contaminated.”
੧੩ਫੇਰ ਹੱਜਈ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਲਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ? ਤਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
14 And Haggai answered and he said: Such is this people, and such is this nation before my face, says the Lord, and such is all the work of their hands. And so all that they have offered there has been contaminated.
੧੪ਫੇਰ ਹੱਜਈ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਇਹੋ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈ।
15 And now, consider in your hearts, from this day and beyond, before stone may be placed upon stone in the temple of the Lord:
੧੫ਹੁਣ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
16 when you approached a pile of twenty measures, and they became ten, and you entered to the press, to press out fifty bottles, and they became twenty,
੧੬ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀਹ ਪੈਮਾਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਢੇਰੀ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਦਸ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਅ ਦੇ ਪੀਪੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਪੈਮਾਨੇ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀਹ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
17 how I struck you with a burning wind, and a mildew, and a hailstorm, all the works of your hand, yet there was no one among you who returned to me, says the Lord.
੧੭ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੂ, ਉੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਮੁੜੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
18 Set your hearts from this day and into the future, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundations of the temple of the Lord have been uttered, and place it upon your heart.
੧੮ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ, ਨੌਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਚੌਵੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ, ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ।
19 Has the seed been germinated yet? And has the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree still not flourished? From this day on, I will bless you.
੧੯ਕੀ ਬੀਜ ਅਜੇ ਕੋਠੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼, ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰ, ਅਨਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਅਜੇ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ? ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
20 And the word of the Lord came a second time to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth of the month, saying:
੨੦ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਚੌਵੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਹੱਜਈ ਨਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
21 Speak to Zerubbabel the governor of Judah, saying: I will move both heaven and earth.
੨੧ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ,
22 And I will overturn the throne of kingdoms, and I will crush the strength of the kingdom of the Gentiles. And I will overturn the four-horse chariot, and its rider; and the horses and their riders shall be brought down, a man by the sword of his brother.
੨੨ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਲੱਦ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਉਲੱਦ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ, ਹਾਂ, ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
23 In that day, says the Lord of hosts, I will take you, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, my servant, says the Lord, and will set you like a seal, for I have chosen you, says the Lord of hosts.
੨੩ਉਸ ਦਿਨ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੋਹਰ ਦੀ ਅੰਗੂਠੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
