< Genesis 10 >

1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.
And these [are] [the] accounts of [the] sons of Noah Shem Ham and Japheth and they were born to them sons after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
[the] sons of Japheth [were] Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
And [the] sons of Gomer [were] Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
And [the] sons of Javan [were] Elishah and Tarshish Kittim and Dodanim.
5 The islands of the Gentiles were divided by these into their regions, each one according to his tongue, and their families in their nations.
From these they separated [the] coastlands of the nations in own lands their each to own language its to clans their in nations their.
6 And the Sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
And [the] sons of Ham [were] Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dadan.
And [the] sons of Cush [were] Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca and [the] sons of Raamah [were] Sheba and Dedan.
8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.
And Cush he fathered Nimrod he he began to be a mighty [man] on the earth.
9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’
He he was a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh there-fore it is said like Nimrod a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh.
10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.
And it was [the] beginning of kingdom his Babel and Erech and Akkad and Calneh in [the] land of Shinar.
11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,
From the land that he went forth Assyria and he built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah.
12 and also Resen, between Nineveh and Calah. This is a great city.
And Resen between Nineveh and between Calah that [is] the city great.
13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
And Mizraim he fathered [the] Ludites and [the] Anamites and [the] Lehabites and [the] Naphtuhites.
14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came forth the Philistines and the Caphtorim.
And [the] Pathrusites and [the] Casluhites where they came out from there [the] Philistines and [the] Caphtorites.
15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,
And Canaan he fathered Sidon firstborn his and Heth.
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, the Girgashite,
And the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Girgashite[s].
17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,
And the Hivite[s] and the Arkite[s] and the Sinite[s].
18 and the Arvadian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite. And after this, the peoples of the Canaanites became widespread.
And the Arvadite[s] and the Zemarite[s] and the Hamathite[s] and after they were scattered [the] clans of the Canaanite[s].
19 And the borders of Canaan went, as one travels, from Sidon to Gerar, even to Gaza, until one enters Sodom and Gomorrah, and from Admah and Zeboiim, even to Lesa.
And it was [the] border of the Canaanite[s] from Sidon going you Gerar towards to Gaza going you Sodom towards and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim to Lasha.
20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.
These [were] [the] sons of Ham to clans their to languages their in lands their in nations their.
21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.
And to Shem was born also he [the] father of all [the] sons of Eber [the] brother of Japheth old.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
[the] sons of Shem [were] Elam and Asshur and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram.
23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
And [the] sons of Aram [were] Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.
And Arphaxad he fathered Shelah and Shelah he fathered Eber.
25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.
And to Eber was born two sons [the] name of the one [was] Peleg for in days his was divided the earth and [the] name of brother his [was] Joktan.
26 This Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah
And Joktan he fathered Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah.
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal and Diklah,
And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah.
28 and Obal and Abimael, Sheba
And Obal and Abimael and Sheba.
29 and Ophir, and Havilah and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab all these [were] [the] sons of Joktan.
30 And their habitation extended from Messa, as one sojourns, even to Sephar, a mountain in the east.
And it was dwelling place their from Mesha going you Sephar towards [the] hill country of the east.
31 These are the sons of Shem according to their kindred, and tongues, and the regions within their nations.
These [were] [the] sons of Shem to clans their to languages their in lands their to nations their.
32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.
These [were] [the] clans of [the] sons of Noah to descendants their in nations their and from these they separated the nations on the earth after the flood.
