Ezra 1
1 In the first year of Cyrus, king of the Persians, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus, king of the Persians, so that the word of the Lord from the mouth of Jeremiah would be fulfilled. And he sent out a voice, throughout his entire kingdom, and also in writing, saying:
Pada tahun pertama sesudah Kores menjadi raja atas Persia, TUHAN menggerakkan hati Kores untuk membebaskan orang Israel, sesuai dengan janji TUHAN yang disampaikan melalui Nabi Yeremia. Maka Raja Kores mengumumkan suatu perintah mengenai orang Yahudi.
2 “Thus says Cyrus, the king of the Persians: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given all the kingdoms of the earth to me, and he himself has instructed me that I should build a house for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judea.
Beginilah isi pengumuman itu, “Perhatikan! Inilah perintah saya, raja Persia. Saya sudah ditetapkan oleh TUHAN, Allah yang berkuasa di surga, sebagai raja atas seluruh dunia, dan Dia memerintahkan saya untuk membangun rumah-Nya di kota Yerusalem, di daerah Yehuda.
3 Who among you is from his entire people? May his God be with him. Let him ascend to Jerusalem, which is in Judea, and let him build the house of the Lord, the God of Israel. He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
Karena itu saya mengizinkan kalian orang Israel, yaitu umat TUHAN, untuk pulang dan membangun rumah TUHAN, Allah kalian, yang ada di Yerusalem. Semoga TUHAN menyertai kalian!
4 And let all who remain, in all the places wherever they may live, assist him, each man from his place, with silver and gold, and goods and cattle, in addition to whatever they may offer voluntarily to the temple of God, which is in Jerusalem.”
Dan siapa saja dari orang Israel yang akan tetap tinggal di Persia harus membantu mereka dengan menyumbangkan kekayaannya, yaitu emas, perak, ternak, dan bekal untuk perjalanan mereka, juga sumbangan untuk pembangunan rumah Allah di Yerusalem.”
5 And the leaders of the fathers from Judah and from Benjamin, with the priests, and the Levites, and all those whose spirit was stirred by God, rose up, so that they might ascend to build the temple of the Lord, which was in Jerusalem.
Sesudah mendengar perintah itu, para pemimpin suku Yehuda dan Benyamin, serta para pemimpin imam dan orang Lewi, bahkan setiap orang yang hatinya sudah digerakkan oleh Allah, segera mempersiapkan diri untuk pulang ke Yerusalem dan membangun kembali rumah TUHAN.
6 And all those who were all around assisted their hands with vessels of silver and gold, with goods and cattle, with equipment, in addition to whatever they had offered freely.
Semua orang yang tinggal di dekat mereka juga ikut membantu secara sukarela dengan menyumbangkan emas, perak, ternak, dan barang-barang berharga yang lain. Bantuan itu belum termasuk sumbangan untuk pembangunan rumah TUHAN.
7 Likewise, king Cyrus offered the vessels of the temple of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and had placed in the temple of his god.
Raja Kores juga memerintahkan untuk mengembalikan perkakas yang dirampas dan diangkut dari rumah TUHAN oleh Raja Nebukadnezar dan disimpan olehnya di kuil dewa di kota Babel.
8 Now Cyrus, king of Persia, offered these by the hand of Mithredath, the son of the treasurer, and he counted these out to Sheshbazzar, the leader of Judah.
Kores mempercayakan tugas untuk mengurus perkakas itu kepada Mitredat, kepala pengurus barang-barang milik pemerintah. Lalu Mitredat mencatat alat-alat itu dan menyerahkannya kepada Sesbazar, pemimpin suku Yehuda.
9 And this is their number: thirty gold bowls, one thousand silver bowls, twenty-nine knives, thirty gold cups,
Semua barang itu dicatat secara terperinci: piring besar dari emas— 30 buah, piring besar dari perak— 1.000 buah, pisau— 29 buah,
10 four hundred ten of a second kind of silver cup, one thousand other vessels.
baskom dari emas— 30 buah, baskom dari perak— 410 buah, barang-barang lain— 1.000 buah.
11 All the vessels of gold and silver were five thousand four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all these, with those who ascended from the transmigration of Babylon, into Jerusalem.
Jumlah seluruh perkakas dari emas dan perak itu 5.400 buah. Semuanya diangkut oleh Sesbazar waktu mereka pulang dari Babel ke Yerusalem.
