Ezekiel 1

1 And it happened that, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives beside the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.

۱ و روز پنجم ماه چهارم سال سی‌ام، چون من در میان اسیران نزد نهر خابور بودم، واقع شد که آسمان گشوده گردید و رویاهای خدارا دیدم.

2 On the fifth of the month, the same is the fifth year of the transmigration of king Joachin,

۲ در پنجم آن ماه که سال پنجم اسیری یهویاکین پادشاه بود،

3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, a priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, next to the river Chebar. And the hand of the Lord was over him there.

۳ کلام یهوه بر حزقیال بن بوزی کاهن نزد نهر خابور در زمین کلدانیان نازل شد و دست خداوند در آنجا بر او بود.

4 And I saw, and behold, a whirlwind arrived from the north. And a great cloud, wrapped in fire and brightness, was all around it. And from its midst, that is, from the midst of the fire, there was something with the appearance of amber.

۴ پس نگریستم و اینک باد شدیدی از طرف شمال برمی آید و ابر عظیمی و آتش جهنده ودرخشندگی‌ای گرداگردش و از میانش یعنی ازمیان آتش، مثل منظر برنج تابان بود.

5 And in its midst, there was the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: the likeness of a man was in them.

۵ و از میانش شبیه چهار حیوان پدید آمد و نمایش ایشان این بود که شبیه انسان بودند.

6 Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.

۶ و هریک از آنها چهاررو داشت و هریک از آنها چهار بال داشت.

7 Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they sparkled with the appearance of glowing brass.

۷ وپایهای آنها پایهای مستقیم و کف پای آنها مانندکف پای گوساله بود و مثل منظر برنج صیقلی درخشان بود.

8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on the four sides. And they had faces with the wings on the four sides.

۸ و زیر بالهای آنها از چهار طرف آنها دستهای انسان بود و آن چهار رویها و بالهای خود را چنین داشتند.

9 And their wings were joined to one another. They did not turn as they went. Instead, each one advanced before his face.

۹ و بالهای آنها به یکدیگرپیوسته بود و چون می‌رفتند رو نمی تافتند، بلکه هریک به راه مستقیم می‌رفتند.

10 But as for the likeness of their face, there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right of each of the four, then the face of an ox on the left of each of the four, and the face of an eagle above each of the four.

۱۰ و اما شباهت رویهای آنها (این بود که ) آنها روی انسان داشتندو آن چهار روی شیر بطرف راست داشتند و آن چهار روی گاو بطرف چپ داشتند و آن چهار روی عقاب داشتند.

11 Their faces and their wings were extended above: two wings of each one were joined together, and two covered their bodies.

۱۱ و رویها و بالهای آنها ازطرف بالا از یکدیگر جدا بود و دو بال هریک به همدیگر پیوسته و دو بال دیگر بدن آنها رامی پوشانید.

12 And each one of them advanced before his face. Wherever the impetus of the spirit was to go, there they went. And they did not turn as they advanced.

۱۲ و هر یک از آنها به راه مستقیم می‌رفتند و به هر جایی که روح می‌رفت آنهامی رفتند و درحین رفتن رو نمی تافتند.

13 And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision dashing in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, with lightning going forth from the fire.

۱۳ و اما شباهت این حیوانات (این بود که )صورت آنها مانند شعله های اخگرهای آتش افروخته شده، مثل صورت مشعلها بود. و آن آتش در میان آن حیوانات گردش می‌کرد ودرخشان می‌بود و از میان آتش برق می‌جهید.

14 And the living creatures went and returned like flashes of lightning.

۱۴ و آن حیوانات مثل صورت برق می‌دویدند وبرمی گشتند.

15 And as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared above the earth, next to the living creatures, one wheel having four faces.

۱۵ و چون آن حیوانات را ملاحظه می‌کردم، اینک یک چرخ به پهلوی آن حیوانات برای هر روی (هرکدام از) آن چهار بر زمین بود.

16 And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like the appearance of the sea. And each of the four were similar to one another. And their appearance and work was like a wheel in the center of a wheel.

۱۶ و صورت چرخها و صنعت آنها مثل منظرزبرجد بود و آن چهار یک شباهت داشتند. وصورت و صنعت آنها مثل چرخ در میان چرخ بود.

17 Going forth, they went by means of their four parts. And they did not turn as they went.

۱۷ و چون آنها می‌رفتند، بر چهار جانب خودمی رفتند و در حین رفتن به هیچ طرف میل نمی کردند.

18 Also, the size and height and appearance of the wheels was dreadful. And the entire body was full of eyes all around each of the four.

۱۸ و فلکه های آنها بلند و مهیب بود وفلکه های آن چهار از هر طرف از چشمها پر بود.

19 And when the living creatures advanced, the wheels advanced together with them. And when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up at the same time.

۱۹ و چون آن حیوانات می‌رفتند، چرخها درپهلوی آنها می‌رفت و چون آن حیوانات از زمین بلند می‌شدند، چرخها بلند می‌شد.

20 Wherever the spirit went, as the spirit was going forth to that place, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.

۲۰ و هر جایی که روح می‌رفت آنها می‌رفتند، به هر جا که روح سیر می‌کرد و چرخها پیش روی آنها بلندمی شد، زیرا که روح حیوانات در چرخها بود.

21 When going forth, they went forth, and when standing still, they stood still. And when they were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.

۲۱ و چون آنها می‌رفتند، اینها می‌رفت و چون آنها می‌ایستادند، اینها می‌ایستاد. و چون آنها اززمین بلند می‌شدند، چرخها پیش روی آنها اززمین بلند می‌شد، زیرا روح حیوانات در چرخهابود.

22 And above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of a firmament: similar to crystal, but dreadful to behold, and extending over their heads from above.

۲۲ و شباهت فلکی که بالای سر حیوانات بودمثل منظر بلور مهیب بود و بالای سر آنها پهن شده بود.

23 And their wings were straight under the firmament, one toward the other. One of them was covered by two wings on his body, and the other was covered similarly.

۲۳ و بالهای آنها زیر فلک بسوی یکدیگر مستقیم بود و دو بال هریک از این طرف می‌پوشانید و دو بال هر یک از آن طرف بدنهای آنها را می‌پوشانید.

24 And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the sublime God. When they walked, it was like the sound of a multitude, like the sound of an army. And when they stood still, their wings were let down.

۲۴ و چون می‌رفتند، من صدای بالهای آنها را مانند صدای آبهای بسیار، مثل آواز حضرت اعلی و صدای هنگامه را مثل صدای فوج شنیدم. زیرا که چون می‌ایستادندبالهای خویش را فرو می‌هشتند.

25 For when a voice came from above the firmament, which was over their heads, they stood still, and they put down their wings.

۲۵ و چون درحین ایستادن بالهای خود را فرو می‌هشتند، صدایی از فلکی که بالای سر آنها بود مسموع می‌شد.

26 And above the firmament, which was suspended over their heads, there was the likeness of a throne, with the appearance of the sapphire stone. And over the likeness of the throne, there was a likeness with the appearance of a man above it.

۲۶ و بالای فلکی که بر سر آنها بودشباهت تختی مثل صورت یاقوت کبود بود وبرآن شباهت تخت، شباهتی مثل صورت انسان برفوق آن بود.

27 And I saw something with the appearance of amber, with the likeness of fire within it and all around it. And from his waist and upward, and from his waist downward, I saw something with the appearance of fire shining all around.

۲۷ و از منظر کمر او بطرف بالا مثل منظر برنج تابان، مانند نمایش آتش در اندرون آن و گرداگردش دیدم. و از منظر کمر او به طرف پایین مثل نمایش آتشی که از هر طرف درخشان بود دیدم.

28 There was the appearance of the rainbow, as when it is in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the splendor on every side.

۲۸ مانند نمایش قوس قزح که در روزباران در ابر می‌باشد، همچنین آن درخشندگی گرداگرد آن بود. این منظر شباهت جلال یهوه بود و چون آن را دیدم، به روی خود در‌افتادم و آوازقائلی را شنیدم،
