Ezekiel 35
1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
2 “Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and you shall prophesy about it, and you shall say to it:
「人の子よ、あなたの顔をセイル山に向け、これに対して預言し、
3 Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, mount Seir, and I will extend my hand over you, and I will make you desolate and deserted.
これに言え。主なる神はこう言われる、セイル山よ、見よ、わたしはあなたを敵とし、わたしの手をあなたに向かって伸べ、あなたを全く荒し、
4 I will tear down your cities, and you will be deserted. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
あなたの町々を滅ぼす。あなたは荒れはてる。そしてわたしが主であることを悟る。
5 For you have been a continual adversary, and you have enclosed the sons of Israel, by the hands of the sword, in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquity.
あなたは限りない敵意をいだいて、イスラエルの人々をその災の時、終りの刑罰の時に、つるぎの手に渡した。
6 Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will hand you over to blood, and blood will pursue you. Even though you have hated blood, blood will pursue you.
それゆえ、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。わたしはあなたを血にわたす。血はあなたを追いかける。あなたには血のとががあるゆえ、血はあなたを追いかける
7 And I will make mount Seir desolate and deserted. And I will take away from it the one who departs and the one who returns.
わたしはセイル山を全く荒し、そこに行き来する者を断ち、
8 And I will fill up its mountains with its slain. In your hills, and in your valleys, as well as in your torrents, the slain will fall by the sword.
その山々を殺された者で満たす。つるぎで殺された者が、あなたのもろもろの丘、もろもろの谷、もろもろのくぼ地に倒れる。
9 I will hand you over to everlasting desolations, and your cities will not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.
わたしはあなたを、永遠の荒れ地とし、あなたの町々には住む者がなくなる。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを悟る。
10 For you have said, ‘Two nations and two lands will be mine, and I will possess them as an inheritance,’ though the Lord was in that place.
あなたは言う、『これら二つの国民、二つの国はわたしのもの、われわれはこれを獲よう』と。しかし主はそこにおられる。
11 Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will act in accord with your own wrath, and in accord with your own zeal, by which you have acted with hatred toward them. And I will be made known by them, when I will have judged you.
それゆえ、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。あなたが彼らを憎んで、彼らに示した怒りと、ねたみにしたがって、わたしはあなたを扱う。わたしがあなたをさばく時、わたし自身をあなたに示す。
12 And you shall know that I, the Lord, have heard all your disgraces, which you have spoken about the mountains of Israel, saying: ‘They are deserted. They have been given to us to devour.’
あなたがイスラエルの山々に向かって、『これは荒れはてて、われわれの食となる』と言ったもろもろのそしりを、主なるわたしが聞いたことをあなたは悟る。
13 And you rose up against me with your mouth, and you disparaged against me with your words. I have heard.
あなたがたは、わたしに対して口をもって誇り、またわたしに対して、あなたがたの言葉を多くした。わたしはそれを聞いた。
14 Thus says the Lord God: When the whole earth will rejoice, I will reduce you to solitude.
主なる神はこう言われる、全地の喜びのために、わたしはあなたを荒れ地とする。
15 Just as you have rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, when it was laid waste, so will I act toward you. You will be laid waste, O mount Seir, with all of Idumea. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
あなたが、イスラエルの家の嗣業の荒れるのを喜んだように、わたしはあなたに、そのようにする。セイル山よ、あなたは荒れ地となる。エドムもすべてそのようになる。そのとき彼らは、わたしが主であることを悟るようになる。
