< Ezekiel 1 >

1 And it happened that, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives beside the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.
Afe a ɛto so aduasa no, ɔsram a ɛto so anan no da a ɛto so anum no, na meka wɔn a wɔatwa wɔn asu akɔ amannɔne no ho. Mewɔ Asubɔnten Kebar ho no, ɔsoro buei, na mihuu Onyankopɔn wɔ anisoadehu mu.
2 On the fifth of the month, the same is the fifth year of the transmigration of king Joachin,
Ɔsram no da a ɛto so anum no na ɔhene Yehoiakin adi mfe anum wɔ asutwa mu.
3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, a priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, next to the river Chebar. And the hand of the Lord was over him there.
Awurade asɛm baa Busi babarima Hesekiel a ɔyɛ ɔsɔfo no nkyɛn wɔ Asubɔnten Kebar ho wɔ Babilonia asase so. Ɛhɔ na Onyankopɔn nsa baa ne so.
4 And I saw, and behold, a whirlwind arrived from the north. And a great cloud, wrapped in fire and brightness, was all around it. And from its midst, that is, from the midst of the fire, there was something with the appearance of amber.
Mehwɛe, na mihuu sɛ ahum kɛse bi fi atifi fam reba, omununkum kɛse bi a ɛretwa anyinam na hann bi a ano yɛ den atwa ho ahyia. Ogya no mfimfini te sɛ dade a asɔ kɔɔ.
5 And in its midst, there was the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: the likeness of a man was in them.
Na ogya no mu na na wohu biribi te sɛ ateasefo baanan. Na wɔn su te sɛ onipa,
6 Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
wɔn mu biara anim yɛ anan na wɔwowɔ ntaban anan anan.
7 Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they sparkled with the appearance of glowing brass.
Wɔn anan yɛ kirebenn, wɔn anammɔn te sɛ nantwi ba de na ɛhyerɛn te sɛ kɔbere mfrafrae a wɔahoa ho.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on the four sides. And they had faces with the wings on the four sides.
Wɔwowɔ nnipa nsa wɔ ntaban a ɛwowɔ afaafa anan no ase. Wɔn mu biara wɔ nnipa nsa anan a baako wɔ ntaban biara ase,
9 And their wings were joined to one another. They did not turn as they went. Instead, each one advanced before his face.
na wɔn ntaban keka sisi anim. Wɔn nyinaa kɔ wɔn anim tee a wɔnnan wɔn ho.
10 But as for the likeness of their face, there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right of each of the four, then the face of an ox on the left of each of the four, and the face of an eagle above each of the four.
Na sɛɛ na wɔn anim tete: Wɔn mu biara wɔ onipa anim, wɔwɔ gyata anim wɔ nifa so, wɔwɔ nantwi anim wɔ benkum so; na wɔn mu biara nso wɔ ɔkɔre anim.
11 Their faces and their wings were extended above: two wings of each one were joined together, and two covered their bodies.
Saa na na wɔn anim tete. Wɔatrɛtrɛw wɔn ntaban mu kɔ soro; na wɔn mu biara wɔ ntaban abien abien, a mu biara si ɔfoforo de anim wɔ benkum ne nifa, na ntaban abien nso katakata wɔn ho.
12 And each one of them advanced before his face. Wherever the impetus of the spirit was to go, there they went. And they did not turn as they advanced.
Obiara kɔ nʼanim tee. Baabiara a honhom no bɛkɔ no, hɔ na wɔbɛkɔ a wɔnnan wɔn ho.
13 And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision dashing in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, with lightning going forth from the fire.
Ateasefo no suban te sɛ nnyansramma a ɛredɛw anaa ogyatɛn. Ogya di akɔneaba wɔ ateasefo no mu; ɛhyerɛn na mu na anyinam fi twitwa.
14 And the living creatures went and returned like flashes of lightning.
Na ateasefo no de mmirika di akɔneaba te sɛ anyinam a ɛretwitwa.
15 And as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared above the earth, next to the living creatures, one wheel having four faces.
Bere a merehwɛ ateasefo no, mihuu sɛ nkyimii si fam wɔ ateasefo a wɔn mu biara anim yɛ anan no nkyɛn mu.
16 And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like the appearance of the sea. And each of the four were similar to one another. And their appearance and work was like a wheel in the center of a wheel.
Sɛɛ na na nkyimii no bɔbea te: Etwa yerɛw yerɛw te sɛ sikabereɛbo, na anan no nyinaa sesɛ. Wɔayɛ mu biara te sɛ nkyimii a ɛtoa nkyimii foforo mu.
17 Going forth, they went by means of their four parts. And they did not turn as they went.
Sɛ nkyimii no nam a wɔkɔ faako a ateasefo no ani kyerɛ; nkyimii no nnan wɔn ho bere a ateasefo no nam no.
18 Also, the size and height and appearance of the wheels was dreadful. And the entire body was full of eyes all around each of the four.
Wɔn hankare no korɔn, na ɛyɛ hu, na aniwa tuatua hankare anan no nyinaa ho.
19 And when the living creatures advanced, the wheels advanced together with them. And when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up at the same time.
Sɛ ateasefo no nantew a nkyimii a ɛbatabata wɔn ho no nso kɔ saa ara; sɛ ateasefo no ma wɔn ho so fi fam a nkyimii no nso ma wɔn ho so.
20 Wherever the spirit went, as the spirit was going forth to that place, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.
Baabiara a honhom no bɛkɔ no, ateasefo no nso bɛkɔ, na nkyimii no bɛka wɔn ho ama wɔn ho so, efisɛ ateasefo no honhom wɔ nkyimii no mu.
21 When going forth, they went forth, and when standing still, they stood still. And when they were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.
Sɛ ateasefo no tu teɛ a nkyimii no nso kɔ saa ara; sɛ ateasefo no gyina a, wɔn nso gyina; sɛ ateasefo no pagyaw wɔn ho a nkyimii no ne wɔn pagyaw wɔn ho, efisɛ ateasefo no honhom wɔ nkyimii no mu.
22 And above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of a firmament: similar to crystal, but dreadful to behold, and extending over their heads from above.
Na ntrɛwmu bi wɔ ateasefo no atifi a etwa yerɛw yerɛw te sɛ sukyerɛmma, na ɛyɛ hu.
23 And their wings were straight under the firmament, one toward the other. One of them was covered by two wings on his body, and the other was covered similarly.
Na wɔatrɛtrɛw wɔn ntaban no mu asisi anim wɔ ntrɛwmu no ase, na ateasefo no mu biara wɔ ntaban abien a ɛkata ne ho.
24 And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the sublime God. When they walked, it was like the sound of a multitude, like the sound of an army. And when they stood still, their wings were let down.
Ateasefo no tu teɛe no, metee wɔn ntaban no nnyigyei a ɛte sɛ asu a ɛworo, te sɛ Otumfo no nne, anaa asraafo huuyɛ. Sɛ wogyina a wɔatrɛtrɛw wɔn ntaban mu.
25 For when a voice came from above the firmament, which was over their heads, they stood still, and they put down their wings.
Na nne bi fi ntrɛwmu a ɛkata wɔn so no atifi bae, bere a wɔatrɛtrɛw wɔn ntaban mu na wogyinagyina hɔ no.
26 And above the firmament, which was suspended over their heads, there was the likeness of a throne, with the appearance of the sapphire stone. And over the likeness of the throne, there was a likeness with the appearance of a man above it.
Na biribi a ɛte sɛ aboɔdemmo ahengua wɔ ntrɛwmu a ɛkata ateasefo no atifi no so, na biribi a ɛte sɛ onipa te ahengua so wɔ ɔsoro hɔ.
27 And I saw something with the appearance of amber, with the likeness of fire within it and all around it. And from his waist and upward, and from his waist downward, I saw something with the appearance of fire shining all around.
Mihuu sɛ efi nea ayɛ sɛ nʼasen mu rekɔ ne soro no na ɔte sɛ dade a adɔ kɔɔ sɛ ogya a ano asɔ, na efi hɔ reba ne fam no na ɔte sɛ ogyaframa; na hann a ɛhyerɛn atwa ne ho ahyia.
28 There was the appearance of the rainbow, as when it is in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the splendor on every side.
Sɛnea nyankontɔn to wɔ omununkum mu osutɔ da no, saa ara na hann a atwa ne ho ahyia no te. Eyi yɛ Awurade anuonyam ahoyi no sɛso. Na mihui no, mede mʼanim butuw fam, na metee obi a ɔrekasa nne.
