< Exodus 35 >

1 Therefore, when all the multitude of the sons of Israel had gathered together, he said to them: “These are the things that the Lord has ordered to be done:
And Moses called together all the assembly of the sons of Israel and said unto them, —These are the things which Yahweh hath commanded to do them.
2 For six days you shall do work; the seventh day, the Sabbath and the rest of the Lord, will be holy to you; whoever will have done any work in it shall be killed.
Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, shall there be to you a holy sabbath-keeping, unto Yahweh, whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
3 You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwelling places throughout the day of the Sabbath.”
Ye shall not kindle a fire, in any of your dwellings, —on the sabbath day.
4 And Moses said to the entire crowd of the sons of Israel: “This is the word which the Lord has instructed, saying:
And Moses spake unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel, saying, This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, saying,
5 Separate from among you the first-fruits to the Lord. Let all who are willing and have a ready soul offer these to the Lord: gold, and silver, and brass,
Take ye from among you, a heave-offering to Yahweh, every one whose heart is willing shall bring it in, even the heave-offering of Yahweh, gold and silver and bronze:
6 hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, and fine linen, the hair of goats,
and blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair;
7 and the skins of rams, dyed red, and violet skins, setim wood,
and rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and acacia wood;
8 and oil to prepare lights and to produce ointment, and most sweet incense,
and oil for giving light, and aromatic spices for the anointing oil, and for fragrant incense;
9 onyx stones and gems, to adorn the ephod and the breastplate.
and onyx stones and setting stones, for the ephod, and for the breastpiece.
10 And whoever among you is wise, let him come and make what the Lord has commanded:
And, all the wise-hearted among you, shall come in, that they may make, all that which Yahweh hath commanded: —
11 the tabernacle, certainly, and its roof, and also the covering, the rings, and the panels with the bars, the tent pegs and the bases,
the habitation, its tent, and its covering, —its clasps its boards, and its bars its pillars, and its sockets:
12 the ark and its bars, the propitiatory, and the veil that is drawn before it,
the ark with its staves the propitiatory, and the screening veil;
13 the table with its bars and vessels, and the bread of the presence,
the table with its staves and all its utensils, and the Presence-bread:
14 the lampstand to hold up the lights, its vessels and lamps, and the oil to the nourish the fire,
the lampstand for giving light, with its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for giving light;
15 the altar of incense and its bars, and the oil of unction, and the incense of aromatics, the tent at the door of the tabernacle,
and the incense altar, with its staves, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, —and the entrance screen, for the entrance of the habitation;
16 the altar of holocaust and its grate of brass, with the bars and vessels, the washtub and its base,
the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and the bronze grating which pertaineth thereto, its staves and all its utensils, the laver and its stand;
17 the curtains of the atrium, with the columns and the bases, the hanging at the doors of the vestibule,
the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, —and the screen for the gate of the court:
18 the tent pegs of the tabernacle and the atrium, with their little cords,
the pins of the habitation, and the pins of the court, and their cords;
19 the vestments, which are to be used in the ministry of the Sanctuary, the vestments of Aaron, the high priest, as well as those of his sons, in order to exercise the priesthood to me.”
the cloths of variegated stuff for ministering in the sanctuary, —the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for ministering as priests.
20 And all the multitude of the sons of Israel, departing from the sight of Moses,
So all the assembly of the sons of Israel went forth from the presence of Moses;
21 offered the first-fruits to the Lord with a most ready and devout mind, to accomplish the work of the tabernacle of the testimony. Whatever was needed for worship and for the holy vestments,
and they brought in—every man whose heart lifted him up, —and, every one whose spirit made him willing, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, for the construction of the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.
22 men along with women provided: arm bands and earrings, rings and bracelets. And every vessel of gold was separated, to be donated to the Lord.
Yea they brought in—the men with the women, —all who were willing-hearted, brought in—bracelets and nose-ornaments and rings, and buckles, all manner of jewels of gold, even every man who waved a wave-offering of gold unto Yahweh.
23 If anyone had hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, fine linen and the hair of goats, the skins of rams, dyed red, and violet skins,
And, every man with whom was found blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair, —and rams’ skins dyed red and badgers’ skins brought them in.
24 metal of silver and brass, they offered it to the Lord, along with setim wood for various uses.
Every one who would heave a heave-offering of silver or bronze, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, —and, every one with whom was found acacia wood for any construction for the service, brought it in.
25 But the skillful women also gave whatever they had spun: hyacinth, purple, and vermillion, as well as fine linen,
And, all the women who were wise-hearted, with their hands, did spin, —and brought in that which they had spun—the blue, and the purple, the crimson, and the fine linen.
26 and the hair of goats, donating everything of their own accord.
And, all the women whose hearts lifted them up with wisdom, span the goat’s-hair.
27 Yet truly, the leaders offered onyx stones and gems, for the ephod and the breastplate,
And the princes, brought in the onyx stones and the setting stones, —for the ephod and for the breastpiece;
28 and aromatics and oil, to maintain the lights, and to prepare ointment, and also to produce incense with a most sweet odor.
and the aromatic spices, and the oil, —for giving light, and for anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.
29 All the men and women offered donations with a devout mind, so that the works might be done which the Lord had ordered by the hand of Moses. All the sons of Israel dedicated voluntary offerings to the Lord.
[In the case of], every male and woman whose heart, made them willing, to bring in for any construction which, Yahweh had commanded them to make, by the hand of Moses, [in their case] did the sons of Israel bring in a free-will offering unto Yahweh.
30 And Moses said to the sons of Israel: “Behold, the Lord has called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah,
And Moses said unto the sons of Israel—See! Yahweh hath called by name, —Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, and understanding, and knowledge, and all teaching,
and filled him with the spirit of God, —in, wisdom in understanding and in knowledge, and in all manner of execution;
32 to design and to fashion, with gold and silver and brass,
to devise skilful designs, —to work in gold and in silver and in bronze;
33 and with engraving stones, and with the skill of a carpenter. Whatever can be skillfully invented,
and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the cutting of wood, —to work in any manner of skilful workmanship,
34 he has given to his heart. It is likewise with Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach from the tribe of Dan.
To teach also, hath he put in his heart, [the heart of] him, and of Oholiab—son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan;
35 He has taught both of them wisdom, in order to do the work of carpentry, tapestry, and embroidery, from hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, and fine linen, and every textile, and to discover whatever may be new.”
hath filled them with wisdom of heart to work all manner of workmanship of cutter, and deviser and embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in crimson and in fine linen and of the weaver, —workers of any manner of workmanship, and devisers of skilful designs.
