Exodus 29
1 “But you shall also do this, so that they may be consecrated to me in the priesthood: Take a calf from the herd, and two immaculate rams,
Deze handelingen moet ge aan hen voltrekken, om hen tot mijn priesters te wijden: Neem één jongen stier en twee rammen, die zonder gebreken zijn;
2 and unleavened bread, and a crust without leaven that has been sprinkled with oil, likewise, unleavened cakes smeared with oil. You shall make them all from the same wheat flour.
daarbij ongedesemde broden en ongedesemde koeken met olie gemengd en ongedesemde offervlaas met olie bestreken, van tarwebloem bereid.
3 And, having placed them in baskets, you shall offer them, along with the calf and the two rams.
Leg ze in een mand, en breng ze in die mand tegelijk met den jongen stier en de twee rammen.
4 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons, to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. And when you will have washed the father with his sons in water,
Daarna moet ge Aäron en zijn zonen naar de ingang van de openbaringstent leiden en hen met water wassen.
5 you shall clothe Aaron in his vestments, that is, with the linen, and the tunic, and the ephod, and the breastplate, which you shall draw together with the wide belt.
Dan moet ge de gewaden nemen, en Aäron bekleden met de tuniek, de schoudermantel, het borstkleed en de borsttas, hem het borstkleed vastbinden met de band,
6 And you shall place the headdress on his head and the holy plate upon the headdress.
de tulband op zijn hoofd plaatsen en de heilige diadeem aan de tulband bevestigen.
7 And you shall pour the oil of unction over his head. And so, by this rite, he shall be consecrated.
Dan moet ge de zalfolie nemen, die over zijn hoofd uitstorten en hem zalven.
8 Likewise, you shall bring forward his sons, and you shall clothe them in the linen tunics, and wrap them with the wide belt:
Vervolgens moet ge zijn zonen doen toetreden, hen met de tunieken bekleden,
9 Aaron, certainly, as well as his sons. And you shall impose headdresses upon them. And they shall be priests to me by a perpetual ordinance. After you have initiated their hands,
de gordel ombinden en de hoofddoeken omdoen. Wanneer ge zo Aäron en zijn zonen tot priesters hebt aangesteld, zullen zij de priesterlijke waardigheid bezitten als een eeuwig recht.
10 you shall bring forward also the calf, in the presence of the tabernacle of the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon its head.
Dan moet ge den stier voor de openbaringstent brengen, en Aäron en zijn zonen moeten hun handen op de kop van den stier leggen;
11 And you shall sacrifice it in the sight of the Lord, beside the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.
daarna moet men den stier voor het aanschijn van Jahweh aan de ingang van de openbaringstent slachten.
12 And taking some of the blood of the calf, you shall place it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, but the remainder of the blood you shall pour next to its base.
Neem dan het bloed van den stier, strijk een gedeelte daarvan met uw vinger aan de hoornen van het altaar, en stort de rest tegen het voetstuk van het altaar.
13 And you shall take all the fat which covers its intestines, and the mesh of the liver, as well as the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and you shall offer them as a burnt offering upon the altar.
Vervolgens moet ge al het vet nemen, dat de ingewanden omgeeft, en de kwab aan de lever, de beide nieren en het niervet, en dat op het altaar in rook doen opgaan;
14 Yet truly, the flesh of the calf, and the hide and the dung, you shall burn outside, beyond the camp, because it is for sin.
maar het vlees van den stier met zijn vel en darmen moet ge buiten de legerplaats in het vuur verbranden. Dit is het zondeoffer.
15 Likewise, you shall take one ram, and upon its head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.
Dan moet ge een van de rammen nemen, en Aäron en zijn zonen moeten hun handen op de kop van den ram leggen;
16 And when you will have sacrificed it, you shall take from its blood and pour it around the altar.
ge moet den ram slachten, zijn bloed opvangen, en er aan alle kanten het altaar mee besprenkelen.
17 Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and, having washed its intestines and feet, you shall place these upon the cut-up flesh and upon its head.
Snijd dien ram vervolgens in stukken, was de ingewanden en poten af, en leg ze bij de andere stukken en de kop.
18 And you shall offer the entire ram as a burnt offering upon the altar. It is an oblation to the Lord, a most sweet odor of the victim of the Lord.
Den helen ram moet ge op het altaar in rook doen opgaan. Het is een heerlijk geurend brandoffer voor Jahweh, een vuuroffer ter ere van Jahweh.
19 Likewise, you shall take the other ram, upon whose head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.
Daarna moet ge den tweeden ram nemen, en Aäron en zijn zonen moeten hun handen op zijn kop leggen.
20 And when you will have immolated it, you shall take of its blood, and place it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs and big toes of their right hand and right foot, and you shall pour the blood upon the altar, all around.
Dan moet ge hem slachten, met zijn bloed de rechteroorlel, rechterduim en rechter grote teen van Aäron en zijn zonen bestrijken, en met het overige bloed aan alle kanten het altaar besprenkelen.
21 And when you have taken from the blood that is on the altar, and from the oil of unction, you shall sprinkle Aaron and his vestment, his sons and their vestments. And after they and their vestments have been consecrated,
Neem dan wat van het bloed, dat tegen het altaar is gesprenkeld, tegelijk met wat zalfolie, en besprenkel daarmee Aäron en de gewaden van Aäron, zijn zonen en de gewaden van zijn zonen, zodat hij en zijn zonen, alsook de gewaden van beiden zullen gewijd zijn.
22 you shall take the fat of the ram, and the rump, and the lard that covers the internal organs, and the mesh of the liver, and the two kidneys along with the fat that is on them, and the right shoulder, because it is the ram of consecration,
Vervolgens moet ge het vet van den ram nemen, met het staartvet en het vet, dat de ingewanden omgeeft, de kwab aan de lever, de beide nieren met het niervet, dat er om heen zit, en daar het een wijdingsram is, ook de rechterschenkel;
23 and one turn of bread, a crust sprinkled with oil, and a cake from the basket of unleavened bread, which was placed in the sight of the Lord.
bovendien, uit de mand met ongedesemde broden, die voor het aanschijn van Jahweh staat, één rond brood, één met olie bestreken broodkoek en één vla.
24 And you shall place all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord.
Dit alles moet ge in de handen van Aäron leggen en in die van zijn zonen, en als een strekoffer voor het aanschijn van Jahweh aanbieden.
25 And you shall take all these things from their hands and burn them upon the altar as a holocaust, as a most sweet odor in the sight of the Lord, because it is his oblation.
Dan moet ge het uit hun handen nemen, en het op het altaar in rook doen opgaan te zamen met het heerlijk geurend brandoffer voor het aanschijn van Jahweh; het is een vuuroffer ter ere van Jahweh.
26 Likewise, you shall take the chest of the ram, with which Aaron was initiated, and you shall sanctify it, lifting it up in the sight of the Lord, and it will fall to your share.
Vervolgens moet ge het borststuk van Aärons wijdingsram nemen, en het als een strekoffer voor het aanschijn van Jahweh aanbieden. Dit zal uw deel zijn.
27 And you shall sanctify both the consecrated chest and the shoulder that you separated from the ram,
Zo zult ge door het wijdingsram van Aäron en zijn zonen de borststukken, die als strekoffers worden aangeboden, en de schenkels, die als hefoffers worden opgedragen, heiligen;
28 with which Aaron was initiated with his sons, and these will fall to the share of Aaron and his sons, as a perpetual oath by the sons of Israel. For these are the greatest and the first of their victims of peace, which they offer to the Lord.
volgens een altijdgeldende wet zullen zij het deel zijn, dat de kinderen Israëls aan Aäron en zijn zonen moeten afstaan. Want het is een hefoffer, en als zodanig moet het door Israëls zonen van hun vredeoffers worden afgestaan, als een gave aan Jahweh.
29 But the holy vestment, which Aaron shall use, his sons shall possess after him, so that they may be anointed in it and their hands may be consecrated.
De heilige gewaden van Aäron zullen na hem op zijn zonen overgaan; daarin moeten zij gezalfd en tot priesters worden aangesteld.
30 For seven days, he who is high priest in his place and who enters the tabernacle of the testimony to minister in the Sanctuary shall use it.
En zeven dagen moet zijn zoon, die hem als priester opvolgt en de openbaringstent binnentreedt, zich daarmee bekleden, om de dienst in het heiligdom uit te oefenen.
31 But you shall take the ram of consecration and cook its flesh in the holy place.
Het vlees van den wijdingsram moet ge op een heilige plaats koken.
32 And Aaron and his sons shall feed on it. Likewise, the loaves which are in the basket, they shall consume in the vestibule of the tabernacle of the testimony,
En Aäron en zijn zonen zullen het vlees van den ram en het brood uit de mand eten bij de ingang van de openbaringstent.
33 so that it may be an appeasing sacrifice, and so that the hands of those who offer may be sanctified. A stranger shall not eat from these, for they are holy.
Zij alleen mogen het eten, omdat zij daardoor de verzoening verkregen, toen men hen tot priester aanstelde en wijdde; een leek mag er niet van eten, want het is heilig.
34 And what may remain until morning, of the consecrated flesh or of the bread, you shall burn these remnants with fire. These shall not be eaten, because they have been sanctified.
En zo er iets van het vlees van het wijdingsoffer of van het brood tot de volgende morgen zou overblijven, moet ge dat overschot verbranden; het mag niet worden gegeten, want het is heilig.
35 All that I have instructed you concerning Aaron and his sons, you shall do. For seven days shall you consecrate their hands,
Voltrek dit alles aan Aäron en zijn zonen, juist zoals Ik het u heb bevolen. Zeven dagen moet ge de priesterwijding laten duren.
36 and you shall offer a calf for sin on each day, as an atonement. And you shall cleanse the altar when you will have immolated the victim of expiation, and you shall anoint it for sanctification.
Iedere dag moet ge tot verzoening een stier opdragen als zondeoffer, en door uw verzoening de onreinheid van het altaar wegnemen; dan moet ge het zalven, om het te wijden.
37 For seven days, you shall expiate and sanctify the altar, and it shall be the Holy of holies. All those who will touch it must be sanctified.
Zeven dagen lang zult ge voor het altaar de verzoeningsplechtigheid verrichten, om het te wijden. Zo zal het altaar hoogheilig zijn, en iedereen, die het aanraakt, zal als iets heiligs worden behandeld.
38 This is what you shall acquire for the altar: Two one-year-old lambs, each day continually,
Regelmatig iedere dag moet ge twee eenjarig lammeren op het altaar offeren.
39 one lamb in the morning, and the other in the evening;
Het ene lam moet ge des morgens offeren, het andere tegen de avond.
40 for the one lamb, a tenth part of fine flour sprinkled with crushed oil, which shall have the measure of the fourth part of a hin, and wine for a libation, of the same measure;
Bij het eerste lam behoort een issaron meelbloem, gemengd met een kwart hin gestoten olie, en een plengoffer van een vierde hin wijn.
41 truly, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, according to the ritual of the morning oblation, and according to what we have said, as an odor of sweetness.
Het andere lam moet ge tegen de avond offeren. Gij moet er eenzelfde spijs en plengoffer bij doen als des morgens. Het moet een heerlijk geurend vuuroffer zijn ter ere van Jahweh,
42 It is a sacrifice to the Lord, by a perpetual oblation among your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord, where I resolve to speak to you.
een bestendig brandoffer van geslacht tot geslacht, opgedragen aan de ingang van de openbaringstent en voor het aanschijn van Jahweh, waar Ik Mij aan u zal openbaren, om tot u te spreken.
43 And there I will instruct the sons of Israel, and the altar shall be sanctified by my glory.
Daar zal Ik Mij openbaren aan de zonen Israëls, en die plaats zal door mijn glorie worden geheiligd.
44 I will also sanctify the tabernacle of the testimony with the altar, and Aaron with his sons, to exercise the priesthood for me.
Ik zal de openbaringstent heiligen met het altaar, en Aäron heiligen met zijn zonen, om mijn priesters te zijn.
45 And I will live in the midst of the sons of Israel, and I will be their God.
Ik zal wonen te midden van Israëls kinderen en hun God zijn.
46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who led them away from the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.”
Dan zullen zij weten, dat Ik, Jahweh, hun God ben, die hen uit het land van Egypte heb geleid, om in hun midden te wonen: Ik Jahweh, hun God!
