< 2 Chronicles 17 >
1 Then Jehoshaphat, his son, reigned in his place. And he grew strong against Israel.
Jozafati, mwana mobali ya Asa, akitanaki na tata na ye na bokonzi mpe alendisaki makasi na ye mpo na kobundisa Isalaele.
2 And he appointed numbers of soldiers in all the cities of Judah that had been fortified with walls. And he placed garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim that his father Asa had seized.
Atiaki mampinga na ye kati na bingumba nyonso ya Yuda, oyo batonga makasi; mpe atiaki masanga ya basoda kati na mokili ya Yuda mpe kati na bingumba ya Efrayimi oyo Asa, tata na ye, abotolaki.
3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father, David. And he did not trust in the Baals,
Yawe azalaki elongo na Jozafati mpo ete, na eteni ya liboso ya bomoi na ye, alandaki ndakisa ya Davidi, tata na ye, mpe amipesaki te na banzambe Bala.
4 but in the God of his father. And he advanced in his precepts, and not according to the sins of Israel.
Kasi alukaki Nzambe ya tata na ye mpe atosaki mibeko na Ye: alandaki te makambo oyo ezalaki kosalema kati na Isalaele.
5 And the Lord confirmed the kingdom in his hand. And all of Judah gave gifts to Jehoshaphat. And innumerable riches were brought to him, and much glory.
Yawe alendisaki bokonzi oyo ezalaki na maboko ya Jozafati, mpe Yuda mobimba ezalaki komemela ye bakado. Akomaki na bozwi ebele mpe atondaki na lokumu.
6 And when his heart had taken courage because of the ways of the Lord, he now also took away the high places and the sacred groves from Judah.
Motema na ye esepelaki makasi kotambola na banzela ya Yawe kino kolongola kati na Yuda bisambelo ya likolo ya bangomba mpe makonzi ya Ashera.
7 Then, in the third year of his reign, he sent Benhail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Micaiah, from among his leaders, so that they might teach in the cites of Judah.
Na mobu ya misato ya bokonzi na ye, atindaki bakalaka na ye koteya bavandi ya bingumba ya Yuda. Ezalaki Beni-Ayili, Abidiasi, Zakari, Netaneeli mpe Mishe.
8 And with them were the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah, and also Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan, and the Levites Adonijah and Tobijah and Tobadonijah. And with them were the priests Elishama and Jehoram.
Atindaki elongo na bango Balevi oyo libwa: Shemaya, Netania, Zebadia, Asaeli, Shemiramoti, Jonatan, Adoniya, Tobiya mpe Tobi-Adoniya; elongo na Banganga-Nzambe Elishama mpe Yorami.
9 And they were teaching the people in Judah, having with them the book of the law of the Lord. And they were traveling through all the cities of Judah, and were instructing the people.
Bateyaki kati na Yuda. Wana bazalaki na buku ya Mobeko ya Yawe elongo na bango, batambolaki kati na bingumba nyonso ya Yuda mpo na koteya bato.
10 And so, the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands which were around Judah. And they did not dare to make war against Jehoshaphat.
Somo ya Yawe ekangaki bamboka nyonso oyo ezalaki zingazinga ya Yuda, mpe ekokaki lisusu te kobundisa Jozafati.
11 Moreover, the Philistines carried gifts to Jehoshaphat, and a tribute in silver. Also, the Arabians brought cattle: seven thousand seven hundred rams, and the same number of he-goats.
Bato ya Filisitia bamemelaki Jozafati bakado mpe palata lokola mpako mpo na mokonzi; mpe bato ya Arabi bamemelaki ye bameme ya mibali nkoto sambo na nkama sambo mpe bantaba ya mibali nkoto sambo na nkama sambo.
12 Therefore, Jehoshaphat increased and was magnified, even on high. And in Judah, he built houses in the likeness of towers, and walled cities.
Wana nguya ya bokonzi ya Jozafati ekobaki kaka koya makasi, atongaki kati na Yuda bandako makasi mpe bingumba ya kobomba biloko.
13 And he prepared many works in the cities of Judah. Also, there were men experienced in warfare in Jerusalem,
Kati na bingumba ya Yuda, azalaki na biloko ebele ya kolia; mpe kati na Yelusalemi, atiaki basoda ya mpiko.
14 and this is the number of them, by each of the houses and families. In Judah, the leader of the army was Adnah, the commander; and with him were three hundred thousand very experienced men.
Tala motango na bango kolanda mabota na bango: Kati na libota ya Yuda, bakonzi ya bankoto: Adina, mokonzi ya basoda ya mpiko nkoto nkama misato;
15 After him, Jehohanan was the leader; and with him were two hundred eighty thousand.
sima na ye, Yoanani: mokonzi ya basoda ya mpiko nkoto nkama mibale na tuku mwambe;
16 Also after him, there was Amasiah, the son of Zichri, who was consecrated to the Lord; and with him were two hundred thousand strong men.
sima na ye, Amasia, mwana mobali ya Zikiri, oyo amikabaki ye moko epai na Yawe: mokonzi ya basoda ya mpiko nkoto nkama mibale.
17 Following him, there was Eliada, who was experienced in battle; and with him were two hundred thousand, holding bow and shield.
Kati na libota ya Benjame: Eliyada, elombe ya bitumba, azalaki mokonzi ya basoda ya mpiko nkoto nkama mibale oyo bazalaki na matolotolo mpe na banguba;
18 Then too, after him, there was Jehozabad; and with him were one hundred eighty thousand lightly-armed soldiers.
Yozabadi, mokonzi ya basoda ya mpiko nkoto nkama moko na tuku mwambe.
19 All these were at the hand of the king, aside from the others, whom he had positioned in the walled cities, in all of Judah.
Bato oyo nyonso bazalaki kosala epai ya mokonzi lokola bakonzi ya basoda ya mpiko, bakisa ba-oyo mokonzi atiaki kati na bingumba batonga makasi ya Yuda mobimba.
