2 Chronicles 14
1 Then Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. And his son, Asa, reigned in his place. During his days, the land was quiet for ten years.
Abiya akendeki kokutana na bakoko na ye, mpe bakundaki ye kati na engumba ya Davidi. Asa, mwana na ye ya mobali, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi. Na tango oyo Asa azalaki mokonzi, mokili ezalaki na kimia mibu zomi.
2 Now Asa did what was good and pleasing in the sight of his God. And he overturned the altars of foreign worship, and the high places.
Asa asalaki makambo ya malamu mpe ya sembo na miso ya Yawe, Nzambe na ye.
3 And he broke apart the statues, and he cut down the sacred groves.
Alongolaki bitumbelo ya banzambe ya bapaya mpe bisambelo ya likolo ya bangomba, abukaki makonzi ya bule ya banzambe ya bikeko mpe akweyisaki makonzi ya bikeko ya nzambe mwasi Ashera.
4 And he instructed Judah that they should seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, and that they should carry out the law and all the commandments.
Apesaki mitindo na bato ya Yuda ete baluka Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na bango, mpe batosa mibeko mpe malako na Ye.
5 And he took away, from all the cities of Judah, the altars and the shrines. And he reigned in peace.
Kati na bingumba nyonso ya Yuda, mokonzi Asa alongolaki bisambelo nyonso ya likolo ya bangomba mpe bitumbelo malasi. Boye, na tango na ye, mokili ezalaki na kimia.
6 Also, he built fortified cities in Judah. For it was quiet, and in his time no wars had arisen. For the Lord was generously granting peace.
Atongaki bingumba makasi kati na Yuda mpo ete mokili ezalaki na kimia. Na mibu wana, moto moko te abundisaki ye, pamba te Yawe apesaki ye bopemi.
7 Then he said to Judah: “Let us build these cities, and strengthen them with walls, and fortify them with towers and gates and bars, while all things are at rest from wars. For we have sought the Lord, the God of our fathers, and he has granted to us peace on every side.” And so they built, and there was nothing to impede them from building.
Alobaki na Yuda: « Totonga bingumba oyo, tozingela yango na bamir, na bandako milayi mpe na bikuke elongo na bikangelo na yango. Mokili ezali kati na bopemi liboso na biso, pamba te tolukaki Yawe, Nzambe na biso; tolukaki Ye, mpe Ye apesi biso bopemi na bangambo nyonso. » Boye, batongaki mpe balongaki na mabongisi na bango.
8 Now Asa had in his army three hundred thousand men of Judah, carrying shields and spears, and truly, of Benjamin, two hundred eighty thousand men with shields and bows. All of these were very valiant men.
Asa azalaki na mampinga ya basoda nkoto nkama misato ya bato ya Yuda, oyo bazalaki komema banguba minene mpe makonga, mpe ya basoda nkoto nkama mibale na tuku mwambe ya bato ya Benjame, oyo bazalaki komema banguba mike mpe kobeta matolotolo: bango nyonso bazalaki bilombe ya bitumba.
9 Then Zerah, the Ethiopian, went forth against them with his army of one million men, and three hundred chariots. And he approached as far as Mareshah.
Zera, moto ya Kushi, elongo na mampinga ya basoda monkoko moko mpe bashar nkama misato, abundisaki mampinga ya Asa mpe akomaki kino na Maresha.
10 And Asa traveled to meet him, and he set up a battle line for the war in the Valley of Zephathah, which is near Mareshah.
Asa abimelaki ye, mpe batandamaki na molongo ya bitumba na se ya Tsefata, pene ya Maresha.
11 And he called upon the Lord God, and he said: “O Lord, there is no difference to you, whether you assist by few, or by many. Help us, O Lord our God. For having faith in you and in your name, we have gone forth against this multitude. O Lord, you are our God. Do not allow man to prevail against you.”
Asa abelelaki Yawe, Nzambe na ye; alobaki: « Oh Yawe, moko te akokani na Yo, moko te akoki kosunga moto ya bolembu liboso ya moto na nguya. Oh Yawe, Nzambe na biso, sunga biso! Pamba te totiaka elikya na biso kati na Yo. Ezali na Kombo na Yo nde toyaki kobundisa mampinga oyo ya monene. Oh Yawe, ozali Nzambe na biso! Tika ete moto alonga Yo te! »
12 And so the Lord terrified the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah. And the Ethiopians fled.
Yawe abetaki bato ya Etiopi liboso ya Asa mpe Yuda, mpe bato ya Etiopi bakimaki.
13 And Asa, and the people who were with him, pursued them as far as Gerar. And the Ethiopians fell, even unto utter destruction, for the Lord was striking, and his army was battling, and they were destroyed. Therefore, they took many spoils.
Asa elongo na mampinga na ye balandaki bato ya Etiopi kino na Gerari. Bato bakufaki, bakokaki te kobikisa bomoi na bango, pamba te bango nyonso babebisamaki liboso ya Yawe mpe mampinga na Ye. Mampinga ya basoda ya Yuda bazwaki bomengo ebele ya bitumba;
14 And they struck all the cities surrounding Gerar. For indeed, a great fear had overwhelmed everyone. And they despoiled the cities, and they carried away much plunder.
babebisaki bamboka nyonso oyo ezalaki zingazinga ya Gerari, pamba te Yawe akweyiselaki bango somo na Ye ya makasi. Bazwaki na makasi biloko kati na bingumba nyonso, pamba te biloko ya kozwa ezalaki ebele penza kati na yango.
15 Then too, destroying the fencing for the sheep, they took an innumerable multitude of cattle and camels. And they returned to Jerusalem.
Babebisaki mpe bitonga ya bibwele, bamemaki bantaba mpe bameme ebele elongo na bashamo. Bongo, bazongaki na Yelusalemi.
