1 Chronicles 28
1 And so David called together all the leaders of Israel, the rulers of the tribes, and those in charge of the companies, who were ministering to the king, and also the tribunes and centurions, and those in charge of the substance and possessions of the king, and his sons, with the eunuchs and the powerful and those most experienced in the army, at Jerusalem.
Ða-vít hiệp lại tại Giê-ru-sa-lem hết thảy các quan trưởng Y-sơ-ra-ên, các tộc trưởng của các chi phái, các ban trưởng phục sự vua, các quan tướng cai ngàn quân và trăm quân, các kẻ cai quản sản nghiệp của vua và của các con trai người, luôn với các hoạn quan và những người mạnh dạn.
2 And when the king had risen up and was standing, he said: “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I thought that I would build a house, in which the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the footstool of our God, might rest. And so I prepared everything for its building.
Vua Ða-vít đứng dậy nói rằng: Hỡi các anh em và dân sự ta, hãy nghe! Ta đã có ý xây cất một cái đền an nghỉ cho hòm giao ước của Ðức Giê-hô-va, cho cái bệ chân của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta; ta đã sắm thờ lạy cho sẵn đặng cất.
3 But God said to me: ‘You shall not build a house to my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.’
Nhưng Ðức Chúa Trời phán với ta rằng: Ngươi chớ cất đền cho danh ta, vì người là một tay chiến sĩ, đã đổ huyết ra nhiều.
4 Now the Lord God of Israel chose me, out of the entire house of my father, so that I would be king over Israel forever. For from Judah he chose leaders; then from the house of Judah he chose the house of my father; and from the sons of my father, it pleased him to choose me as king over all of Israel.
Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên có chọn ta từ trong cả nhà cha ta, làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên đời đời (vì Ngài đã chọn Giu-đa làm trưởng, và trong nhà Giu-đa, chọn nhà của cha ta, Ngài vui lòng chọn ta, lập ta làm vua trên cả Y-sơ-ra-ên).
5 Then too, among my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) he chose Solomon my son, so that he would sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord, over Israel.
Vả, Ðức Giê-hô-va có ban cho ta nhiều con trai; trong các con trai ấy Ngài đã chọn Sa-lô-môn, con trai ta, đặt ngồi trên ngôi nước Ðức Giê-hô-va, đặng cai trị Y-sơ-ra-ên.
6 And he said to me: ‘Solomon your son shall build my house and my courts. For I have chosen him to be to me as a son, and I will be to him as a father.
Ngài phán với ta rằng: Sa-lô-môn, con trai của ngươi, sẽ cất cái đền và các hành lang của ta; vì ta đã chọn nó làm con trai ta, và ta sẽ làm cha nó.
7 And I will make firm his kingdom, even unto eternity, if he will persevere in doing my precepts and judgments, as also today.’
Nếu người bền lòng làm theo các điều răn và luật lệ ta như ngày nay, thì ta sẽ làm cho nước người được bền vững đời đời.
8 Now therefore, before the entire assembly of Israel, in the hearing of our God, keep and seek all the commandments of the Lord our God, so that you may possess the good land, and may bequeath it to your sons after you, even forever.
Vậy bây giờ, tại trước mặt cả Y-sơ-ra-ên, là hội chúng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, đương có Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta lắng tai nghe, ta xin các ngươi hãy tìm kiếm và giữ gìn các điều răn của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của các ngươi, để các ngươi nhận lấy xứ tốt tươi nầy và để lại cho con cháu các ngươi làm cơ nghiệp đời đời.
9 And as for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts, and understands the thoughts of all minds. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will cast you aside for eternity.
Còn ngươi, là Sa-lô-môn, con trai ta, hãy nhận biết Ðức Chúa Trời của cha, hết lòng vui ý mà phục sự Ngài; vì Ðức Giê-hô-va dò xét tấm lòng, và phân biệt các ý tưởng. Nếu con tìm kiếm Ngài, Ngài sẽ cho con gặp; nhưng nếu con lìa bỏ Ngài, ắt Ngài sẽ từ bỏ con đời đời.
10 Now therefore, since the Lord has chosen you, so that you would build the house of the Sanctuary, be strengthened and accomplish it.”
Bây giờ, khá cẩn thận; vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã chọn con đặng xây cất một cái đền dùng làm nơi thánh của Ngài: khá mạnh dạn mà làm.
11 Then David gave to his son Solomon a description of the portico, and the temple, and the storerooms, and the upper floor, and the innermost rooms, and the house of propitiation,
Bấy giờ, Ða-vít trao cho Sa-lô-môn, con trai người, cái kiểu về hiên cửa, về đền thờ, về các khung thành, về lầu gác, về phòng trong của đền thờ, và về nắp thi ân;
12 and indeed also of all the courts that he had planned, and the outer rooms on all sides, for the treasuries of the house of the Lord, and for the treasuries of the holy things,
lại chỉ các kiểu người nhờ Thánh Linh cảm động mà được, về các hành-lang của đền Ðức Giê-hô-va, và về các phòng bốn phía, về những khung thành của đền Ðức Chúa Trời, và về các kho để vật thánh;
13 and for the divisions of the priests and the Levites: concerning all the works of the house of the Lord and all the items in the ministry of the temple of the Lord.
về ban thứ của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi; về các công việc của đền Ðức Giê-hô-va, và về các thứ khí dụng trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va;
14 There was gold by weight for every vessel of the ministry, and also silver by weight for the diversity of vessels and equipment.
cũng chỉ kiểu số cân về các khí dụng bằng vàng, dùng về mỗi thứ công việc, và về các khí dụng bằng bạc, với số cân nó, dùng về mỗi thứ công việc;
15 Then too, he distributed gold for the lampstands and their lamps, according to the measure of each of the lampstands with their lamps. Similarly also, he distributed silver by weight for the silver lampstands with their lamps, according to the diversity of their measure.
lại chỉ số cân về những chân đèn bằng vàng, và về những thếp đèn vàng của nó, theo cân nổi của mỗi chân và thếp nó; số cân về những chân đèn bằng bạc, theo cân nổi của mỗi chân và thếp nó, tùy cách dùng của mỗi chân đèn.
16 Also, he gave gold for the tables of the presence, according to the diversity of the tables; similarly too, he gave silver for the other tables of silver.
Người cũng chỉ số cân về các ban để bánh trần thiết, và bạc về những bàn bằng bạc;
17 Also, he distributed from the purest gold for the small hooks and the bowls and the censors, as well as for the little lions of gold, in accord with the precise measure of the weight, for lion after lion. Similarly too, for the lions of silver, he set aside a different weight of silver.
chỉ kiểu về nỉa, chậu, và ly bằng vàng ròng; về chén vàng, và số cân của mỗi cái; về những chén bạc, và số cân của mỗi cái.
18 Then, for the altar on which the incense was burned, he gave the purest gold. And from the same he made the likeness of the chariot of the Cherubim, with extended wings, which is veiling the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
Lại chỉ kiểu về bàn thờ xông hương bằng vàng thét, có số cân, và kiểu về xe, về các chê-ru-bin sè cánh ra che trên hòm giao ước của Ðức Giê-hô-va.
19 “All these things,” he said, “came to me written by the hand of the Lord, so that I would understand all the works of the pattern.”
Ða-vít nói rằng: Kiểu mẫu về các công việc nầy, ta nhờ tay của Ðức Giê-hô-va chép ra, khiến cho ta hiểu biết vậy.
20 David also said to his son Solomon: “Act manfully, and be strengthened, and carry it out. You should not be afraid, and you should not be dismayed. For the Lord my God will be with you, and he will not send you away, nor will he abandon you, until you have perfected the entire work of the ministry of the house of the Lord.
Ða-vít lại nói với Sa-lô-môn, con trai mình rằng: Hãy vững lòng bền chí mà làm; chớ sợ sệt, chớ kinh hãi chi, vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời, tức là Ðức Chúa Trời của cha, vẫn ở cùng con; Ngài chẳng hề từ bỏ con, cũng chẳng hề lìa khỏi con cho đến chừng các công việc cất đền của Ðức Giê-hô-va được xong.
21 Behold, the divisions of the priests and the Levites, for every ministry of the house of the Lord, are standing before you. And they have been prepared, and so they know, both the leaders and the people, how to carry out all your precepts.”
Kìa, có các ban thứ của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi, đặng làm các công việc của đền Ðức Chúa Trời; lại còn có những người vui ý, thông thạo về các nghề, đặng giúp làm mọi thứ công việc; các quan trưởng và cả dân sự đều sẽ vâng theo mạng lịnh của con.
