< Song of Songs 2 >
1 I am a flower of the plain, a lily of the valleys.
Kai teh Sharon e rosi pei hoi kâvan teh ayawn dawk e lili pei lah ka o.
2 As a lily amongst thorns, so is my companion amongst the daughters.
Ka pahren e nang teh, ka lungpataw e tangla, pâkhingum e, lili pei patetlah na o.
3 As the apple amongst the trees of the wood, so is my kinsman amongst the sons. I desired his shadow, and sat down, and his fruit was sweet in my throat.
Kahrawngum ka paw e Epal thingkung patetlah ka pahren nang teh, thoundounnaw e rahak na o. Kai teh ahnie tâhlip dawk kanawmca lah ka o teh, a paw teh kai hanelah a radip poung oe.
4 Bring me into the wine house; set love before me.
Ahni ni kai teh buvennae im koe na hrawi teh, kaie lathueng a yap e hni teh a lungpatawnae doeh.
5 Strengthen me with perfumes, stay me with apples: for I [am] wounded with love.
Kai teh ngaipatawnae hoi ka o dawkvah misur hoi Epal paw hoi lung bout na pahawi haw.
6 His left [hand shall be] under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me.
Ahnie avoilae a kut ka lû rahim a ta teh, aranglae kut hoi na takawi na seh.
7 I have charged you, you daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and by the virtues of the field, that you do not rouse or wake [my] love, until he please.
Oe Jerusalem canu ka pahren e teh, a mahmawk a kâhlaw hoeh roukrak na pâhlaw awh hoeh nahanelah, kahrawng e sayuk sakhinaw thoebo laihoi nangmouh teh lawk na thui awh.
8 The voice of my kinsman! behold, he comes leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills.
Khenhaw! ka pahren e lawk doeh. Montang monruinaw yawngtapue laihoi a tho.
9 My kinsman is like a roe or a young hart on the mountains of Baethel: behold, he is behind our wall, looking through the windows, peeping through the lattices.
Ka pahren e teh, sayuk sakhi ca patetlah ao. Rapan lawilah a kangdue. Hlalangaw koe a khet teh, hlalangaw koe a kâpâtue.
10 My kinsman answers, and says to me, Rise up, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove.
Ka pahren ni na kaw teh, a dei e lawk teh, ka pahren poung e tangla, a meikahawi e, thaw nateh tho haw.
11 For, behold, the winter is past, the rain is gone, it has departed.
Khenhaw! kasik hai aloum teh cotui hai abaw toe.
12 The flowers are seen in the land; the time of pruning has arrived; the voice of the turtle-dove has been heard in our land.

13 The fig tree has put forth its young figs, the vines put forth the tender grape, they yield a smell: arise, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove; yes, come.

14 [You are] my dove, in the shelter of the rock, near the wall: show me your face, and cause me to hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your countenance is beautiful.
Lungsong rahak e bakhu, na mei heh na hmawt sak haw. Na lawk hai na thaisak haw. Na lawk a rading teh na mei teh ngai ao poung.
15 Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes.
Maimae misurnaw teh a pei lahun toung dawkvah, misurkungnaw ka raphoe hane Asuinaw hoi Asuicanaw hah man awh.
16 My kinsman is mine, and I am his: he feeds [his flock] amongst the lilies.
Kaie ka pahren e teh kai hanelah ao e patetlah kai hai ahni hanelah ka o. Ahni teh tucahunaw hah kahrawngum a khoum teh a kawkhik.
17 Until the day dawn, and the shadows depart, turn, my kinsman, be you like to a roe or young hart on the mountains of the ravines.
