< Psalms 99 >

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.
Psalmus ipsi David. Dominus regnavit, irascantur populi: qui sedet super cherubim, moveatur terra.
2 The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.
Dominus in Sion magnus: et excelsus super omnes populos.
3 Let them give thanks to your great name; for it is terrible and holy.
Confiteantur nomini tuo magno: quoniam terribile, et sanctum est:
4 And the king's honour loves judgement; you have prepared equity, you have wrought judgement and justice in Jacob.
et honor regis iudicium diligit. Tu parasti directiones: iudicium et iustitiam in Iacob tu fecisti.
5 Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.
Exaltate Dominum Deum nostrum, et adorate scabellum pedum eius: quoniam sanctum est.
6 Moses and Aaron amongst his priests, and Samuel amongst them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.
Moyses et Aaron in sacerdotibus eius: et Samuel inter eos, qui invocant nomen eius: Invocabant Dominum, et ipse exaudiebat eos:
7 He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.
in columna nubis loquebatur ad eos. Custodiebant testimonia eius, et præceptum quod dedit illis.
8 O Lord our God, you heard them; O God, you became propitious to them, though you did take vengeance on all their devices.
Domine Deus noster tu exaudiebas eos: Deus tu propitius fuisti eis, et ulciscens in omnes adinventiones eorum.
9 Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
Exaltate Dominum Deum nostrum, et adorate in monte sancto eius: quoniam sanctus Dominus Deus noster.
