< Psalms 94 >
1 A Psalm of David for the fourth [day] of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared himself.
Awurade, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ werɛ, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ werɛ, hyerɛn.
2 Be you exalted, you that judge the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Sɔre, Ao wo a woyɛ asase so ɔtemmufoɔ, tua ahantanfoɔ ka sɛdeɛ ɛfata wɔn.
3 How long shall sinners, O Lord, how long shall sinners boast?
Ao Awurade, ɛnkɔsi da bɛn, amumuyɛfoɔ nnye wɔn ani nkɔsi da bɛn?
4 They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak [so].
Wɔkasa ahantan so; ahohoahoa ahyɛ abɔnefoɔ nyinaa ma.
5 They have afflicted your people, O Lord, and hurt your heritage.
Ao Awurade, wɔdwerɛ wo nkurɔfoɔ; wɔhyɛ wʼagyapadeɛ so.
6 They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger.
Wɔkunkumm akunafoɔ ne amanfrafoɔ; na wɔdi nwisiaa awu.
7 And they said, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
Wɔka sɛ, “Awurade nhunu, Yakob Onyankopɔn ayi nʼani.”
8 Understand now, you simple amongst the people; and you fools, at length be wise.
Monhwɛ yie, mo agyimifoɔ a mowɔ nnipa no mu; nkwaseafoɔ, da bɛn na mobɛhunu nyansa?
9 He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive?
Deɛ ɔbɔɔ aso no, ɔrente asɛm anaa? Deɛ ɔyɛɛ ani no, ɔrenhunu adeɛ anaa?
10 He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, [even] he that teaches man knowledge?
Deɛ ɔtenetene aman so no rentwe aso anaa? Deɛ ɔkyerɛkyerɛ onipa no nnim nyansa anaa?
11 The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
Awurade nim onipa nsusuiɛ; ɔnim sɛ ɛnkɔsi hwee.
12 Blessed is the man whoever you shall chasten, O Lord, and shall teach him out of your law;
Ao Awurade, nhyira ne onipa a wotenetene ne so, onipa a wokyerɛ no wo mmara no;
13 to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one.
Woma wɔn ɔhome firi amanehunu nna mu, kɔsi sɛ wɔbɛtu amena ama amumuyɛfoɔ.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;
Awurade rempo ne nkurɔfoɔ; na ɔrennya nʼagyapadeɛ hɔ da.
15 until righteousness return to judgement, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. (Pause)
Atemmuo bɛgyina teneneeyɛ so bio, na wɔn a wɔn akoma mu teɛ nyinaa bɛdi so.
16 Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity?
Hwan na ɔbɛsɔre atia amumuyɛfoɔ ama me? Hwan na ɔbɛsɔre atia abɔnefoɔ ama me?
17 If the Lord had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Hades.
Sɛ Awurade ammoa me a, anka mekɔɔ owuo kommyɛ mu ntɛm so.
18 If I said, My foot has been moved;
Ɛberɛ a mekaa sɛ, “Menan rewatiri” no, Ao Awurade, wo dɔ no sɔɔ me mu.
19 your mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, your consolation have soothed my soul.
Ɛberɛ a me dadwene dɔɔso no, wʼawerɛkyekye maa me kra abotɔyam.
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with you, which frames mischief by an ordinance?
Ɔhene a porɔeɛ ahyɛ no ma no ne wo wɔ ayɔnkofa anaa? Wʼani gye ahennie a ɛde amanehunu ba ho anaa?
21 They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
Awudifoɔ bɔ mu tia ateneneefoɔ na wɔn a wɔdi bem no, wɔbu wɔn kumfɔ.
22 But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope.
Nanso Awurade yɛ mʼaban; na me Onyankopɔn ayɛ ɔbotan a ne mu na menya ahintaeɛ.
23 And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them.
Ɔbɛtua wɔn nnebɔne no so ka na wɔn amumuyɛ enti, wasɛe wɔn; Awurade yɛn Onyankopɔn bɛsɛe wɔn.
