< Psalms 92 >
1 A Psalm of a Song for the Sabbath-day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, O you Most High;
A Psalme or song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing vnto thy Name, O most High,
2 to proclaim your mercy in the morning, and your truth by night,
To declare thy louing kindenesse in the morning, and thy trueth in the night,
3 on a lute of ten strings, with a song on the harp.
Vpon an instrument of tenne strings, and vpon the viole with the song vpon the harpe.
4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad with your work: and in the operations of your hands will I exult.
For thou, Lord, hast made mee glad by thy workes, and I wil reioyce in the workes of thine handes.
5 How have your works been magnified, O Lord! your thoughts are very deep.
O Lord, how glorious are thy workes! and thy thoughtes are very deepe.
6 A foolish man will not know, and a senseless man will not understand this.
An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,
7 When the sinners spring up as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity have watched; [it is] that they may be utterly destroyed for ever.
(When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.
8 But you, O Lord, are most high for ever.
But thou, O Lord, art most High for euermore.
9 For, behold, your enemies shall perish; and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
For loe, thine enemies, O Lord: for loe, thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquitie shall be destroyed.
10 But my horn shall be exalted [as the horn] of a unicorn; and mine old age with rich mercy.
But thou shalt exalt mine horne, like the vnicornes, and I shalbe anoynted with fresh oyle.
11 And mine eye has seen mine enemies, and mine ear shall hear the wicked that rise up against me.
Mine eye also shall see my desire against mine enemies: and mine eares shall heare my wish against the wicked, that rise vp against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish as a palm tree: he shall be increased as the cedar in Libanus.
The righteous shall flourish like a palme tree, and shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.
13 They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Such as bee planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courtes of our God.
14 Then shall they be increased in a fine old age; and they shall be prosperous; that they may declare
They shall still bring foorth fruite in their age: they shall be fat and flourishing,
15 that the Lord my God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.
To declare that the Lord my rocke is righteous, and that none iniquitie is in him.
