< Psalms 91 >
1 Praise of a Song, by David. He that dwells in the help of the Highest, shall sojourn under the shelter of the God of heaven.
Ame si nɔ Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ƒe bebeƒe la agbɔ ɖe eme le Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la ƒe vɔvɔli te.
2 He shall say to the Lord, You are my helper and my refuge: my God; I will hope in him.
Magblɔ na Yehowa be, “Eyae nye nye sitsoƒe kple nye mɔ sesẽ, nye Mawu si ŋu meku ɖo.”
3 For he shall deliver you from the snare of the hunters, from [every] troublesome matter.
Vavã, aɖe wò le xevimɔtrela ƒe mɔ kple dɔvɔ̃ dziŋɔ me.
4 He shall overshadow you with his shoulders, and you shall trust under his wings: his truth shall cover you with a shield.
Atsɔ eƒe fuwo atsyɔ dziwò, àkpɔ sitsoƒe le eƒe aʋala te, eye eƒe nuteƒewɔwɔ anye wò akpoxɔnu kple mɔxenu aƒo xlã wò.
5 You shall not be afraid of terror by night; nor of the arrow flying by day;
Màvɔ̃ zãmeŋɔdzi alo aŋutrɔ si le ʋɔ lũm le ŋkeke me,
6 [nor] of the [evil] thing that walks in darkness; [nor] of calamity, and the evil spirit at noon-day.
dɔvɔ̃ si le tsatsam le viviti me, alo dɔxɔleameŋu si le nu gblẽm le ŋdɔ la o.
7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
Akpe adze anyi ɖe axawò, eye akpe ewo ɖe wò nuɖusime, ke wò la, mate ɖe ŋuwò o.
8 Only with your eyes shall you observe and see the reward of sinners.
Ɖeko nàkpɔe kple wò ŋkuwo, eye àkpɔ ale si woahe to na ame vɔ̃ɖiwoe.
9 For you, O Lord, are my hope: you, my soul, have made the Most High your refuge.
Ne ètsɔ Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la, Yehowa, ame si nye nye sitsoƒe wɔ nɔwòƒee la,
10 No evils shall come upon you, and no scourge shall draw near to your dwelling.
ekema dzɔgbevɔ̃e maɖi kpe wò o, eye gbegblẽ mate ɖe wò agbadɔ ŋu o,
11 For he shall give his angels charge concerning you, to keep you in all your ways.
elabena ade se na eƒe dɔlawo tso ŋutiwò, be woakpɔ tawò le wò mɔwo katã dzi.
12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.
Woakɔ wò ɖe woƒe asiwo me, be màtsɔ wò afɔ axlã ɖe kpe aɖeke o.
13 You shall tread on the asp and basilisk: and you shall trample on the lion and dragon.
Àɖo afɔ dzata kple ƒli dzi, eye ànya avuzi le dzata dziŋɔ kple da vɔ̃ɖi dzi.
14 For he has hoped in me, and I will deliver him: I will protect him, because he has known my name.
Yehowa be, “Maɖee, elabena elɔ̃m, madzɔ eŋu, elabena enya nye ŋkɔ.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will listen to him: I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.
Ayɔm, eye matɔ nɛ; manɔ anyi kplii le xaxa me, maɖee, eye made bubu eŋuti.
16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and show him my salvation.
Matsɔ agbe didi aɖi ƒo nɛ, eye maɖe nye xɔxɔ afiae.”
