Psalms 90
1 A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge in all generations.
Gospode! ti si nam utoèište od koljena do koljena.
2 Before the mountains existed, and [before] the earth and the world were formed, even from age to age, You are.
Prije nego se gore rodiše i sazda se zemlja i vasiljena, i od vijeka i do vijeka ti si Bog.
3 Turn not man back to [his] low place, whereas you said, Return, you sons of men?
Ti povraæaš èovjeka u truhlež, i govoriš: vratite se sinovi ljudski!
4 For a thousand years in your sight are as the yesterday which is past, and as a watch in the night.
Jer je tisuæa godina pred oèima tvojima kao dan juèerašnji, kad mine, i kao straža noæna.
5 Years shall be vanity to them: let the morning pass away as grass.
Ti ih kao povodnjem odnosiš; oni su kao san, kao trava, koja rano vene,
6 In the morning let it flower, and pass away: in the evening let it droop, let it be withered and dried up.
Ujutru cvjeta i uvene, uveèe se pokosi i sasuši.
7 For we have perished in your anger, and in your wrath we have been troubled.
Jer nas nestaje od gnjeva tvojega, i od jarosti tvoje u smetnji smo.
8 You have set our transgressions before you: our age is in the light of your countenance.
Stavio si bezakonja naša preda se, i tajne naše na svjetlost lica svojega.
9 For all our days are gone, and we have passed away in your wrath: our years have spun out their tale as a spider.
Svi se dani naši prekraæuju od srdnje tvoje, godine naše prolaze kao glas.
10 [As for] the days of our years, in them are seventy years; and if [men should be] in strength, eighty years: and the greater part of them would be labour and trouble; for weakness overtakes us, and we shall be chastened.
Dana godina naših svega ima do sedamdeset godina, a u jaèega do osamdeset godina: i sam je cvijet njihov muka i nevolja; jer teku brzo, i mi odlijeæemo.
11 Who knows the power of your wrath?
Ko zna silu gnjeva tvojega i tvoju jarost, da bi te se kao što treba bojao?
12 and [who knows how] to number [his days] because of the fear of your wrath? So manifest your right hand, and those that are instructed in wisdom in the heart.
Nauèi nas tako brojiti dane naše, da bismo stekli srce mudro.
13 Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated concerning your servants.
Povrati se, Gospode! Dokle æeš? Smiluj se na sluge svoje.
14 We have been satisfied in the morning with your mercy; and we did exult and rejoice:
Ujutru nas nasiti dobrote svoje, i radovaæemo se i veseliti u sve dane svoje.
15 let us rejoice in all our days, in return for the days wherein you did afflict us, the years wherein we saw evil.
Obraduj nas prema danima, u koje si nas muèio, i prema godinama, u koje smo gledali nevolju.
16 And look upon your servants, and upon your works; and guide their children.
Neka se pokaže na slugama tvojim djelo tvoje, i slava tvoja na sinovima njihovijem.
17 And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and do you direct for us the works of our hands.
Neka bude dobra volja Gospoda Boga našega s nama, i djelo ruku naših dovrši nam, i djelo ruku naših dovrši.
