< Psalms 88 >

1 A song of a Psalm for the sons of Core for the end, upon Maeleth for responsive [strains], of instruction for Aeman the Israelite. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before you.
Abụ, bụ Abụ Ọma ụmụ Kora, nke dịrị onyeisi Abụ. Nʼusoro olu abụ Mahalat leannot. Abụ Maskil nke Heman onye Ezra. O Onyenwe anyị, Chineke onye na-azọpụta m, nʼehihie na abalị ka m na-eti mkpu akwa nʼihu gị.
2 Let my prayer come in before you; incline your ear to my supplication, O Lord.
Ka ekpere m bịa nʼihu gị. Chee ntị gị nụrụ akwa m.
3 For my soul is filled with troubles, and my life has drawn near to Hades. (Sheol h7585)
Nʼihi na ọtụtụ nsogbu ejupụtala mkpụrụobi m, anọ m nso nʼọnụ ụzọ ọnwụ. (Sheol h7585)
4 I have been reckoned with them that go down to the pit; I became as a man without help;
Agụnyela m nʼetiti ndị na-arịda nʼolulu. Adị m dịka onye na-enweghị ike.
5 free amongst the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom you remember no more; and they are rejected from your hand.
A họpụtara mụ na ndị nwụrụ anwụ iche, dịka ndị e gburu egbu na-edina nʼili, ndị ị nakwaghị echeta ọzọ, ndị e kewapụrụ site na nlekọta gị.
6 They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark [places], and in the shadow of death.
Ị tụbanyela m nʼime olulu dịkarịrị omimi, olulu nke ọchịchịrị jupụtara nʼime ya.
7 Your wrath has pressed heavily upon me, and you have brought upon me all your billows. (Pause)
Oke iwe gị na-anyịgide m nke ukwuu; i jirila ebili mmiri gị niile kpuchigide m. (Sela)
8 You have removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth.
Ị napụla m ndị enyi m, ndị m hụrụ nʼanya, mee ka m bụrụ ihe a na-asọ oyi nʼebe ha nọ. Abụ m onye emechibidoro ụzọ; nke nʼenweghị ike ịpụ ezi;
9 Mine eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried to you, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to you.

10 Will you work wonders for the dead? or shall physicians raise [them] up, that they shall praise you?
ọ bụ ndị nwụrụ anwụ ka ị na-egosi ọrụ ebube gị? Ndị nwụrụ anwụ, ha na-ebili too gị? (Sela)
11 Shall any one declare your mercy in the tomb? and your truth in destruction?
Ọ bụ nʼime ili ka a na-ekwupụta ịhụnanya gị? A na-ekwupụta ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị nʼebe ịla nʼiyi?
12 Shall your wonders be known in darkness? and your righteousness in a forgotten land?
A na-amata banyere ọrụ ebube gị nʼebe ọchịchịrị dị? Ma ọ bụ ọrụ ezi omume gị, na ịdị mma gị niile nʼala ndị e chezọrọ echezọ?
13 But I cried to you, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent you.
Ma Onyenwe anyị m, ọ bụ gị ka m na-akpọku. Ụtụtụ niile ka ekpere m ga na-abịa nʼebe ị nọ.
14 Therefore, O Lord, do you reject my prayer, [and] turn your face away from me?
O Onyenwe anyị, gịnị mere i jiri jụ m? Gịnị mekwara i jiri zonarị m ihu gị?
15 I am poor and in troubles from my youth; and having been exalted, I was brought low and into despair.
Site na mgbe okorobịa m, abụ m onye a na-esogbu, onye nọkwa ọnwụ nso; ataala m ahụhụ oke ụjọ gị, anọ m nʼọnọdụ ịda mba.
16 Your wrath has passed over me; and your terrors have greatly disquieted me.
Oke iwe gị agabigala nʼahụ m; ihe egwu gị alaala m nʼiyi.
17 They compassed me like water; all the day they beset me together.
Ha na-agba m gburugburu ụbọchị niile dịka idee mmiri; ha gbara m gburugburu nʼakụkụ niile.
18 You have put far from me [every] friend, and mine acquaintances because of [my] wretchedness.
Ị napụla m ndị enyi m na ndị m hụrụ nʼanya; ọchịchịrị bụ enyi m nọkarịsịrị m nso.
