Psalms 85

1 For the end, a Psalm for the sons of Core. O Lord, you has taken pleasure in your land: you have turned back the captivity of Jacob.

聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたコラの子の歌 主よ、あなたはみ国にめぐみを示し、ヤコブの繁栄を回復されました。

2 You have forgiven your people their transgressions; you has covered all their sins. (Pause)

あなたはその民の不義をゆるし、彼らの罪をことごとくおおわれました。 (セラ)

3 You has caused all your wrath to cease: you have turned from your fierce anger.

あなたはすべての怒りを捨て、激しい憤りを遠ざけられました。

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and turn your anger away from us.

われらの救の神よ、われらを回復し、われらに対するあなたの憤りをおやめください。

5 Wouldest you be angry with us for ever? or will you continue your wrath from generation to generation?

あなたはとこしえにわれらを怒り、よろずよまで、あなたの怒りを延ばされるのですか。

6 O God, you will turn and quicken us; and your people shall rejoice in you.

あなたの民が、あなたによって喜びを得るため、われらを再び生かされないのですか。

7 Show us your mercy, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.

主よ、あなたのいつくしみをわれらに示し、あなたの救をわれらに与えてください。

8 I will hear what the Lord God will say concerning me: for he shall speak peace to his people, and to his saints, and to those that turn their heart towards him.

わたしは主なる神の語られることを聞きましょう。主はその民、その聖徒、ならびにその心を主に向ける者に、平和を語られるからです。

9 Moreover his salvation is near them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

まことに、その救は神を恐れる者に近く、その栄光はわれらの国にとどまるでしょう。

10 Mercy and truth are met together: righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].

いつくしみと、まこととは共に会い、義と平和とは互に口づけし、

11 Truth has sprung out of the earth; and righteousness has looked down from heaven.

まことは地からはえ、義は天から見おろすでしょう。

12 For the Lord will give goodness; and our land shall yield her fruit.

主が良い物を与えられるので、われらの国はその産物を出し、

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set his steps in the way.

義は主のみ前に行き、その足跡を道とするでしょう。
