< Psalms 83 >

1 A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to you? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
Tonon-kira. Salamo nataon’ i Asafa. Andriamanitra ô, aza mangìna; aza mihombom-bava Hianao, ary aza mamitsaka, Andriamanitra ô.
2 For behold, your enemies have made a noise; and they that hate you have lifted up the head.
Fa, indro, mitabataba ny fahavalonao; ary izay mankahala Anao dia manandratra ny lohany.
3 Against your people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against your saints.
Ny olonao no iokoany amin’ ny hafetsena; ary miara-misaina hamely izay voafinao izy.
4 They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
Hoy izy: Avia, ka andeha hofongorantsika tsy ho firenena izy, mba tsy hotsarovana intsony ny anaran’ Isiraely.
5 For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against you;
Fa efa niray tetika tokoa ireo, ka nanao fanekena hanohitra Anao,
6 even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
Dia ny lain’ ny Edomita sy ny Isimaelita, ny Moabita sy ny Hagarita,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
Ny Gebalita sy ny Amonita ary ny Amalekita, ny Filistina mbamin’ ny mponina any Tyro.
8 Yes, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
Ny Asyriana koa nikambana taminy; tonga sandrin’ ny taranak’ i Lota ireo. (Sela)
9 Do you to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
Ataovy tahaka ny Midiana izy, ary tahaka an’ i Sisera sy Jabina teo amin’ ny ony Kisona;
10 They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
Maty tany En-dora ireo; tonga zeziky ny tany izy.
11 Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
Ataovy tahaka an’ i Oreba sy Zeba ny mpanapaka azy. Eny, ny andrianany rehetra dia ataovy tahaka an’ i Zebaha sy Zaimona,
12 who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
Izay nanao hoe: aoka halaintsika ho antsika ny fonenan’ Andriamanitra.
13 O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
Andriamanitro ô, ataovy tahaka ny tadio ireo, dia tahaka ny akofa entin’ ny rivotra,
14 As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
Tahaka ny afo mandoro ala sy tahaka ny lelafo mampirehitra tendrombohitra;
15 so shall you persecute them with your tempest, and trouble them in your anger.
Aoka ho toy izany no anafotofotoanao azy amin’ ny tadionao, sy ampahatahoranao azy amin’ ny tafio-drivotrao.
16 Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek your name, O Lord.
Sarony henatra ny tavany, mba hitadiavany ny anaranao, Jehovah ô.
17 Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yes, let them be confounded and destroyed.
Aoka ho menatra sy ho amin-tahotra mandrakizay izy; eny, aoka hangaihay sy haringana izy.
18 And let them know that your name is Lord; that you alone are Most High over all the earth.
Ary aoka ho fantany fa Hianao irery ihany, Izay atao hoe Jehovah, no ilay Avo Indrindra ambonin’ ny tany rehetra.
