Psalms 80
1 For the end, for alternate [strains], a testimony for Asaph, a Psalm concerning the Assyrian. Attend, O Shepherd of Israel, who guide Joseph like a flock; you who sit upon the cherubs, manifest yourself;
Pastire Izrailjev, èuj! koji vodiš sinove Josifove kao ovce, koji sjediš na heruvimima, javi se!
2 before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasse, stir up your power, and come to deliver us.
Pred Jefremom i Venijaminom i Manasijom probudi krjepost svoju, i hodi da nam pomožeš.
3 Turn us, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be delivered.
Bože! povrati nas, neka zasja lice tvoje da se spasemo!
4 O Lord God of hosts, how long are you angry with the prayer of your servant?
Gospode, Bože nad vojskama! dokle æeš se gnjeviti kad te moli narod tvoj?
5 You will feed us with bread of tears; and will cause us to drink tears by measure.
Hraniš ih hljebom suznijem, i pojiš ih suzama trostrukom mjerom.
6 You has made us a strife to our neighbours; and our enemies have mocked at us.
Uèinio si da se oko nas svaðaju susjedi naši, i neprijatelji se naši smiju meðu sobom.
7 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved. (Pause)
Bože nad vojskama! povrati nas, neka zasja lice tvoje da se spasemo!
8 You have transplanted a vine out of Egypt: you have cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Iz Misira si prenio èokot, izagnao narode, i posadio ga.
9 You made a way before it, and did cause its roots to strike, and the land was filled [with it].
Okrèio si za nj, i on pusti žile, i zauze svu zemlju.
10 Its shadow covered the mountains, and its shoots [equalled] the goodly cedars.
Gore se pokriše njegovijem sjenom, i loze su mu kao kedri Božiji.
11 It sent forth its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river.
Pustio je loze svoje do mora i ogranke svoje do rijeke.
12 Therefore have you broken down its hedge, while all that pass by the way pluck it?
Zašto si mu razvalio ogradu, da ga kida ko god proðe?
13 The boar out of the wood has laid it waste, and the wild beast has devoured it.
Gorski vepar podgriza ga, i poljska zvijer jede ga.
14 O God of hosts, turn, we pray you: look on [us] from heaven, and behold and visit this vine;
Bože nad vojskama! obrati se, pogledaj s neba i vidi, i obiði vinograd ovaj,
15 and restore that which your right hand has planted: and look on the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
Sad ovaj, koji je posadila desnica tvoja, i sina, kojega si ukrijepio sebi!
16 [It is] burnt with fire and dug up: they shall perish at the rebuke of your presence.
Popaljen je ognjem, isjeèen, od strašnoga pogleda tvojega propade.
17 Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, and upon the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
Neka bude ruka tvoja nad èovjekom desnice tvoje, nad sinom èovjeèijim kojega si utvrdio sebi!
18 So will we not depart from you: you shall quicken us, and we will call upon your name.
I neæemo otstupiti od tebe, oživi nas, i ime tvoje prizivaæemo.
19 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and make your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Gospode, Bože nad vojskama! povrati nas, neka zasja lice tvoje, da se spasemo!
